Wood? SK reborn on the Den?

Nintendo gave you trophy stuff for a contest not too long ago, it'd be neat to be an official Slime Knight again.

So so so. We're halfway through our closing week, and there's a lot going on. I urge you to make these last moments count!   While we may be going our separate ways, I would like to give something t

Wow those prizes actually look amazing too bad its to late for me to get anything.

They are not for sale until Thursday.

He'd be the one to ask.

Ah, Slime Knights...Such a great community. It was a real life-chaning experience for me, being the only DQ fan in my group. Thanks to SK, I've learned that I'm not alone when it comes to DQ love and met a lot of great people like Megalosaro, and Mimas (met both of them at Anime Expo).

I still have my sealed envelope in my DQ8 guide, along with the RS posters I spent my minimedals on.

Good times.

Yeah, I wore my DQ8 shirt I won there to GameStop the other day to pick up Fortune Street. Then, when redecorating the game room, pulled out the slime PS2 controller that I spent my points on. Good memories.

I used to have that, then I lost it. :(

I miss it.

I am just glad that they are giving us any support (big thanks to Nintendo there), hopefully they continue to send some swag our way to give out as more games are released, I have been keeping an eye on the domain name and it keeps getting renewed each time it expires.

Couldn't you just contact Nintendo directly and request official status or something?

Well, only if we wouldn't be policed by Nintendo. Caravan Heart is one of the main titles that hasn't been released, and they would try to quash all emulation discussion period. :X

I think we're a nice little community of legit and non-legit  (OK, semi-legit, I buy every DQ game they release in the US) gamers. We've been here before there was a Slime Knights and we're here long after. Let's just leave it that way!

From the info that I get from the whois info the domain is up for sale though the price is not set(You have to make an offer.).

Yeah, I'm sure it is worth much more than any of us is willing to pay :)

Some times they are reasonable and sometimes they are horrid on prices. The one domain I'm looking at they want $2,088(Well out of my price range.).

I got offered $800 once for Woodus.com, some furniture company wanted it. Wasn't worth it to me even back then, main reason I bought the domain was so I didn't have to change email addresses every time I changed ISPs (and that was before hotmail and gmail were big)

Slime Knights is owned by Affinitive or whatever they're calling themselves these days. So I doubt they'd sell unless they would be running it, and even then King Slime is elsewhere off doing sexy marketing for cable networks and major retail chains.

One time I got an e-mail from a crazy girl $#!&@ing me out about "stealing" her domain. This was...2001, I think. The DQShrine domain was registered January of 2000. Apparently she wanted to make a site dedicated to Dairy Queen.

Never would have thought about that, glad you got to it first :)

I thought it was a shame the Slime Knights went away. I still have a slime they sent me for referring a friend.

I still think they should try to get the Den some kind of official status. Only problem about it is that we couldn't legally talk about Caravan Heart or any of the translations, as well as emulation.

i still keep in contact with a few people I met on SlimeKnights. Mostly Kain and Esturk. I hear from Healus from time to time but it's getting rarer and rarer unfortunately. A lot of other people I recognize from the site posted here before and still post here.

A long time has past, hasn't it. I was just entering college when the site launched. And now I've been graduated for some time. Pretty ridiculous.

SK was pretty special. Perhaps not as special as the old Enix forums were circa 2000-2003 or so for me, but still pretty neat. It was nice having the community all gathered and energized.

Twas.

King Slime works for CNBC now, so keep an eye out for somethin' sexy in the background.

You know, Woodus and anyone here who was in SK could just try to let Square Enix allow the re-opening of it in an independent forum set.

This specific forum allows talk of ROMS, emulation, things that Nintendo and Squeenix would go "no no no" over like Conseula. But another forum with the overlord's ruleset with prizes and such officially? it'd be neat.
