When we look at Toriyama's spritework, it is very likely to conjure memories of past DW gaming sessions in our minds.

That is memory. That is emotion. That is Akira Toriyama. It's a shame most people know him from Dragon Ball Z, and many of those people have never heard of Dragon Warrior or Dragon Quest...

Toriyama isn't a sprite artist is he? I thought he only did the concept art, and other people did the sprite art..

Anyways, I have to agree with ya, Toriyama is definatly an amazing artist, and it's sad that most people don't know about his work on Dragon Quest..

Yeah, Toriyama is an awesome artist. You can tell that he does the artwork for Dragon Quest just by looking in the character's eyes.

Though, I kinda dont like how he transfers characters into other franchises. I really wouldn't be surprised if Kukule was called "trunks" in the US version instead of Angelo.

Yeah some DBZ fanboy or fangirl would probably rename Angelo "Trunks" as yet another tribute to thier obsession.

It is indeed a darn shame that other people here in the states associate Mr. Toryama's work with Dragon Ball/Z/GT and not any of his other works such as the Art work for Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior and of course Chrono Trigger and his other manga series Dr. Slump.
