My typical bad luck. I made it to Esthar in FF8 only to find out the .ISO of CD3 is damaged and apparently the area with Right Esthar's broke. Which means I can't get out of the city, or to the shopping mall, or anywhere on that side. What's worse is I don't have the original CD anymore, I sold it. Although that's probably damaged too, it's Electronics Botique's problem now, since I couldn't get anything even on EBay for it. So now I have to find CD3 somewhere for download, or buy the game again. Preferrably not used lol....

Ironiclly I made a backup of the .ISO in December of 2005, it's not working either. And I know it's the ISO for sure now because I mounted the ISO as a CD and ran EPSXE setting it to the virtual drive and instead of the Opcode error messages I was getting I get "Error reading CD <location>"... Sigh. CDs don't seem to like me very well for some reason lol.

I'm about 19:30 into Grandia III and just finished up Disc 1. I'm also about 3 hours into Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana, and I'll be putting some time into that game this weekend.

Beigis is now dead. Mammon utterly obliterated me three times.

I'm not sure how to beat this guy. He's far tougher than the other bosses...one of his attacks reduced me from 250 or so HP to 30 or so HP. Ouch!

DW7 - 255 hours, 10 minutes. I am attempting to get all classes and all levels for all characters. Have already beaten God and the four Spirits, have gotten all WRF Rankings for all characters, have completed the Monster Book and the Monster Park. I have the best equipment for everyone, I have gotten all the Medal King prizes (but there are 7 or 8 Tiny Medals I missed along the way, because I only got 111.)

All characters are now at Level 99. All five possible final forms of the Immigrant Town have been achieved. Hero has completed all classes. I must complete classes for the other four characters, then I can consider this game to be 100 percent beaten. And it is only when a game is 100 percent beaten that I am satisfied. Beaten is one thing. Annhilated is another. What I am now going for is pure annhilation.

I figure total annhilation will take approximately 300 hours. I could probably do it in 180-200 hours if I was to do it again from the start, since there are tricks, tips, hints, and time-savbing steps I could've taken throughout the game that I didn't know about on this, my first playthough of DW7. Example, I didn't know what the TAMER skill was actually for for a long time, I didn't even know I had it...just never noticed it. And so I spent a long time fighting some monsters until they just would tame on their own, when I coulda simply zapped tham and had done with it.

Also, I will now have the ability to trade immigrants, whereas before I did not. And I know better how to GET immigrants in the first place. Also, with more targeting gambling in the Casinos, to get what I want, quickly, and not any items not really needed, there would be a lot of time saved there, too. So there's a number of places in which I can save considerable time over this first playthrough, and I think total annhilation could be achieved in about 200 hours. I will have to find out sometime, but not right away, because after this, I am likely to begin playing DWIV-Renaissance, by Brasington.

As it now stands, Gabo needs to finish the class he is working on (currently, he's a 7-star Esterk) and then get one more class...PlatKing. Melvin is currently a 7-star EvilMech, and then he will need to master Esterk and PlatKing classes. Aira, who is currently sitting on the sidelines, needs to master Budoo, Gigamute, WoePriest, and PlatKing. Maribel has 5 human classes and 9 monster classes yet to complete.

As I am currently at just over 255 hours, I still think my original estimate of 300 hours, made back when I first started the game...is going to prove to be close to the mark.

I found all 4 FF8 PSX CD images on BitTorrent. Should be done downloading in a few hours, so hopefully I'll be able to continue my game.

Still plugging away on San Andreas; I'm currently up to 79% complete.

All I really have left to do is finish a few more races, which is cake. However, finding and spraying all the tags is gonna take a while.

I did look on gamefaqs, didn't have a specific strategy for him. I'm focusing on building up my defense, thinking that if the locals can't hurt me much, Mammon won't be able to hurt me much either.

Roughly 30 hours into Grandia 3, and have entered what I believe to be the final dungeon.

Also, started DW3 GBC with a male Hero (Lewd) and Female Warrior (Agile) , Thief (Solitary) , and Cleric, but I only had the patience to get my Cleric Sexy. :(

Yeah, I noticed that from the guide, but Agile seems to work in her favor, giving her a decent amount of agility for a Warrior.

The disc images I downloaded work so I managed to continue my FF8 game and I just got the Ragnarock and rescued Rinoa from the Sorceress Memorial so I'm doing some side quests now before things get hectic. Just finished doing the Chocobo forests and got a Chicobo card.

I've done most of the sidequests in FF8 except for the Deep Sea Research center and the Queen of Cards sidequest, including getting everyone's ultimate weapons. Trying to do the Queen of Cards one for the first time but it sure is annoying, she just left Lunar Gate, now I have to check all the other places to see where she is now. And play a million games and get her to Dollet 5 times somehow. :-)

I'm still at the 19:30 mark in Grandia III, haven't yet started disc 2.

In Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana, I'm now at the 15:00 mark. I finally found one of those stupid mirrors I need to open some gate. The game is going along pretty good. I'm not enjoying it enough to pay full price for #2, so that'll be a price drop purchase later on in the summer or maybe for Christmas, it's good enough to spend $25 on. I am loving the choice quotes in the game. Three have floored me so far, although I've already forgotten one of them.

"Let's kick his etherial ass" or something like this when I went ghost hunting.

And as to why I can't sleep in the same bed as my cat girl? "The ESRB won't allow it"

Still plugging away on San Andreas, but I haven't had much time to play this last week. Only up two more percent, so that puts me at 81% completed.
