Eiz 7
So I took the non pro version translation & inject it to the pro version because I wanted to play it. The result is partial translation of dqmj3pro. Still need testing, I couldnt modify the font, so it's taken directly from the non pro patch which has less glyph than the pro version. So I dont know if it'll break somewhere. dqmj3p patch: https://mega.nz/folder/8tkG1Tgb#WzEFO-JmytVXPkPGW0dnOA above patch+machine translation the rest of the text: https://mega.nz/folder/RkNGCDQb#U1q5Pvm8JXBL6RSKWjX4eg How to use :https://rentry.co/ze3wb Edited February 16 by Eiz
gtongue 0
Thanks a ton for doing this! Big fan of dqmj3p and it works great. I don't know any Japanese and I'm very unfamiliar with 3ds modding but I can most likely update the json with a quick script that uses the google cloud translate api to get just direct google translation of the Japanese for all the missing fields. If I did that would you be willing to redo the patch with those translations? (Or if you could point me in the direction of some sort of documentation converting mes -> json and back)
Pedro 10
Thank you for this, installed on Luma and 5 minutes in it seems to be working perfectly! Playing regular Joker 3 while knowing there is another version with more content would have irked me to no end.
ShonenKokoro 23
Right when I started playing Joker 3 I haven't gotten far, though. Thanks for the patch. It's basically all that was translated for Joker 3 but with untraslated Professional content? I wonder if it'll cause any bugs... I've read that Professional not only has more monsters and maps but also post-game content and story, so I imagine it will be difficult to finish the translation. Also is it 1.02 version of English patch?
StrangeServer 0
I'll try this later, since i'm doing a master guide finding some stuff translated would help a lot.I can send you the guide if you Need It to translate stuff
break 12
Wow, been playing a lot of the DQM2 English translation (thanks to the Discord team). Completed the main story and post-game even playing a lot online. With the 3DS-Update (11.14.0-46) breaking CFW/online play...looking forward to giving this a shot offline. So for real-3DS hardware (CFW-users), we would need a copy of the DQMJ-3pro ".cia" file to get started with this ? A bit unclear on how to get started with this. UrazielNomolos 2
When I tried to load up DQMJ3Pro (and regular) with Citra today it keeps dropping to <5 fps. I am working with Citra support to figure out why, but if any of you have found a fix or know what version number you are running so that this can be fixed, I would appreciate that info. Edit: v1544 is what broke it, 1543 works. Citra Support is now aware of the issue. Edited November 21, 2020 by UrazielNomolos More information became available.
RoiMeruem 0
Hello thank you for your work I am new to 3ds emulation and i cant make it work I created a file named "romfs" in the mod location : C:\Users\Me\AppData\Roaming\Citra\load\mods\00040000001ACB00\romfs I pasted the three files Font, Message and Script in the romfs file but it doesnt work, the game is still in japanese and i dont have the Ver1.3 like your screen? Anybody knows what i am doing wrong?
Marotus 0
Hi! I've been playing with the patch for about 20 hours now, and it works great! Also, thanks @UrazielNomolos - I've been playing the non professional version with the latest citra version, and i always tried to avoid open world areas because of the massive lag. Thanks to your post i've been able to enjoy the world a lot more! @RoiMeruem Your file structure needs to look something like romfs -> data -> Message/Font/Script. How do you compile the json file to mes file and vice versa? Some content is simply unplayable without translation (For example Scout missions) - I've been using an external site to find the answers to those missions, but it was pretty frustrating. Getting the gist of the mission would be more important than translating it word for word.

Kunfury 0
Hi! Are you still wanting to continue working on this? I've got limited experience with stuff such as this but am very proficient with programming in general and would love to help! Please let me know!
placaplay 0
Hi there! Could someone send me or upload on cloud the built CIA with the patch? Tried to extract then repack here, but no success :/
jswhitney7 0
Omg this is incredible... I’ve been waiting for a translated pro for years. Thank you so very much for doing this! Hoping the full version can be released at some point!
Shadow777 0
Having played the original Joker 3 translation, I just wanna give an heads up to everyone that when doing portals to look for monsters like Malroth, Orgodemir, ect when you find Zoma the text box is glitched to the point where you can't say yes to battle him (that is if this is the same patch that one used that is) and you can never obtain him though portal hunts because of it. Besides that, this is really great! Have you seen the teams working on translating Iru and Luca? They're planning on potentially working on Joker3Pro later on and I think you getting in touch with them (unless you already know about them) would be really helpful. BranjolfFrank 0
Greetings fellas, I'm a programmer and I'd love to help on this project. I have no experience with 3ds modding whatsoever, but I can learn the basics quickly I guess. If you need another programmer, let me know, I'd be really happy to contribute! Zardychar 0
Hey this is very cool but I am still quite lost on how to actually get it to work. Am I able to just follow the guide on this ([Translation] Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 | GBAtemp.net - The Independent Video Game Community) page for normal DQMJ3 patch but replace it with this one? I've never done something like this before so I appreciate any help provided. Edited January 24 by Zardychar
Z6n4 11
@eiz can you please update your instruction on how to apply the patch? People literally show up in our discord every week asking how to apply this patch. Also it wouldn't hurt to provide a link to the original patch I created instead of just say "So I took the non pro version translation"
DaWickedd 0
I have patched the game i think. It seems to work however i am getting slowdown when it comes to black transition screens and when running around in the overworld. i.e leaving the house after talking to the robot. Is there anyway to deal with this?
Shadowestien 0
Hey, I'm a big fan of the "Dragon Quest Monsters" Saga, so I didn't know there was a patch for the DQMJ3 Pro version. Could someone tell me how is it going? I mean it's playable? Because if it is playable I want to play. And what do I have to do, just use the english patch for non Pro version with the Pro version? (Edit) And if someone can put a link of a page with a guide for the "fusions", because I looked at many Japan pages but didn't find a good one... Keeth 0
Hello, I've fallen in love with DQMJ when it was brought in Europe. It's been so long that I want to play this game in English ! Thank you for making it possible ! At first it was very laggy, the Citrus v1543 fixed the problem. Thank you to the user that suggested it. There is one thing that I dont get though, I manage to put it in english by followings the steps but I dont have the "1.3" on my screen like OP. Is there a more recent file to download or something more to do maybe ? Thank you ! Shadowstein you need to get the japanes ROM of DQMJ 3 PRO (.3ds) (usually you get the .cia that you change in .3ds with software easyly found online)) . Then you download the patch up there and you follows the original steps : citra emulator: -right click dqmj3p on rom list, open mods location-create romfs folder (you create a folder "romfs")-extract all data to romfs folder (u put the file data that you got from here in the "romfs" folder-enjoy
Shadowestien 0
Thank you "Keeth"!!. And someone knows any guide for the "Fusions" of "DQMJ3 Pro" because I searched a lot and didn't find anything useful...

I scoured the internet and for the life of me I cant find it.
