I almost never play mobile games.

This may be an exception.

This is not the mobile game I was looking for.

Damn it SE, of all DQ mobile games why does it have to be this DQ Wars sub-par game?

DQ Rivals alone would be more selling imo. But who am I to judge, eh?

I dunno. Card games are mostly played out here in the West. TES Legends has ceased all development of new cards and will probably die completely within the next couple of years. I think Gwent might be doing alright, but I hear nothing from it anymore. The people who play Hearthstone already play Hearthstone and won't be stolen away from that game.

What's Dragon Quest Tact?

It’s a cooking game where you have the chance to earn new DQ based recipes every day and must defeat the Demon Lords in cooking contests. Monsters can assist you in the kitchen.

Yeah. It would be even sillier if what I said was true, cause my description of the game was something I just made up. 😘

Don’t be ridiculous you uncultured swine. It’s based off the true MVP of the cooking game world: the Cooking Mama series.

That being said, Jessica and Debora’s SS tank cooking outfits leave the imagination running wild. 😉

Yeah, I feel ya. It’s hard to accept that we’ll probably never get DQ7 mobile.

Hopefully this game will be more enjoyable than Dragon Quest of the Stars.

Yeah, I got really bored of Stars too. It got to the point where I only opened it to do the free chest pulls and nothing else. Romancing SaGa Re:Universe has been a much better gacha styled game and was more of what I was expecting from DQ of the Stars.

I’m guessing DQ of the Stars did well then.

I haven't opened up the game since the free trial for the upgrade ended. I get that gacha games are all about the menus but it got to be too much.

The menus were pretty dumb as well. As well as having those glowing spots you had to find on the map. What was the point in that? It is a dumb way to give away items. It just felt like they were throwing mechanics just for the sake of having mechanics all over. I know mobile games do this a lot, but this game was terrible.

And the gameplay was just boring.

I tried so hard to get into this game. But everything about it just told me no.

I definitely did not like the UI design for a lot of the screens. Most of the time the UI layout was always too busy.

Interesting.  Watching a video of it, it's not half bad in terms of gameplay.  Though a LOT of locks and paywalls common to freemium games, so I'll avoid it.  If they ever make a proper console game of it, I'd consider it, as I love grid-based gameplay, especially if they add in combination attack elements into it (which I imagine this probably has).

It is interesting to note they're using a LOT of DQ6 and 7 music tracks, something I haven't seen all that often, and the remixes are fairly decent (better than the midi in the DS and 3DS versions of both games, and certainly better than DQ6's mobile release).  Though it's funny to hear DQ7 3DS' rendition of the level up and DQ9's item collection SFX tracks.
