Took a break from the main quest yesterday to catch up in Tickington, I had about four quests to do.

Got up to Mount Pang Lai. Haven't gotten Rab yet, but doing a bit of small grinding to survive the fight a little easier.

It is hard to justify grinding at this part of the game. I am to hard headed and keep hitting my head against the wall trying to do these fights even though I can grind a little bit to make it a lot easier. But it is so hard to tell myself that it is okay when I still don't have all my party members back. Ugh. I just wanna grind those levels.

Don't worry about the clones, just spam Quadraslash on him and Moreheal on yourself. This fight pretends to be harder than it actually is. A few turns and you're done.

I'm the same way sometimes.

I'll grind a bit here and there to avoid battles that are too tedious.

That strategy isn't viable on full draconic. You have to be extra safe because of Super Shy. The Rab clones die in one hit with Gigaslash, which you should have if you are playing casually. It would probably make the fight faster by killing them with gigaslash since you help prevent the debuffs and extra healing that needs to be done.

Creeping up on 25 hours, grinding a patch of metal slimes outside the Dundrasil ruins. I am all caught up on side quests at the moment. That is, until I hit the next town.

Current playthrough is 2D vanilla. I have Gigaslash, but found it didn't hit often in that fight.

What level? At level 38 I was consistently one shotting the clones. At 37 one of the clones would survive about 20% of the time or so. Was using two +3 Platinum Swords for it.

Wasted 45 minutes of my hour and a half playtime today at the Damn slot machines.

I don't recall and my Switch is currently indisposed.

Speaking of which, I just dumped all the files from the game. Unfortunately 90% of them (or more) are *uasset or *uexp, which I can only assume are unreal engine container files. I do have Unreal Engine installed, but don't know the first thing about identifying the individual files. I can, however, make note that there are files relating to the Voice Drama DLC left over in the English/Multi5 version. I can't tell if they could be usable or not, though.

How dare you call playing the slots in DQ11 a waste of time. You kids and your complaining and your rock and roll music and your Morgan Freemans... (grumbles on incomprehensibly)

Interesting. Was hoping we would get that DLC. But considering how no one outside of Japan appreciates Audio Dramas I doubt we will see the light of day on it. I wonder if there is any effort in translating it.

Real talk, I bought a Bravely Default voice drama CD just because it had the two bonus boss songs from the village you could help rebuild. It was cheap thankfully, but still, I agree with what your saying. I only bought the CD so I could have “Battle with Demons,” and “Battle with the Ba’al,” officially.

It was worth it just for those songs, especially the latter. Easily one of the best songs Revo wrote for Bravely Default.

Finally did it. I am done. My 4th playthrough and full draconic run is complete. Now that was what I call a good challenge. The gatekeeper and phase 1 of the final boss was where it was really hard. Had to grind a lot just to get survive phase 1. Phase 2 of the fight was nothing though. Really easy. Full Draconic was the exact challenge I wanted and I had a lot of fun with it. Don't think I will ever attempt it again though.

My only complaint is how metal slimes work with No EXP on lower monsters. You can get a King Metal Slime through Electro-light, but not have it count towards the party if you over level it. Yet you can find one in the wild and still get EXP from it. Made the grind that much more tedious and I don't understand why they had to go through with that.

Once I build my new PC late next year, I will probably end up doing a solo run and have fun modding the game. Kinda annoyed that the hero only run is only possible on PS4/PC.

Now I am off to do the post game stuff in Dragon Quest Builders 2 that I haven't touched yet.

Yeah, i feel your pain on that metal slime comment. I had that happen in the Royal Library where I summoned liquid metal slimes and got jack squat for killing them. It was a bunch of bull spit.

You still get Exp for metals even with reduced XP on, but you have to have killed ar least one other monster in that fight.

It's weird.

Sorry, just giving you a hard time. The casino isn’t for everyone. Only casinos I like in the series are the ones in 7, 8, and 11.

Haha! I know. I've been around enough to get to know your Yangus-Style Humor.

Really, 4 person Treasures n’ Trapdoors? Interesting....

Now they just need to include the card flipping game from DQ7 and it would be perfect.

I want to see “Yangus-Style Humor,” on a t-shirt now.

I miss DQ Bingo. Probably the best casino game in the series.

The casino grind is what I really look forward to everytime I get to it.

I'm at that part where everything is Frozen.

I've been pausing to craft and grind a lot.
