Twinkie 249
Trials of Mana remake is getting an update. Which added a new difficulty which can only be played in NG+. As well as restrictions like boss time limits and only three items per battle. My big complaint with the demo was how easy it was. Got a good reason to give the game a play now. It doesn’t help I was just talking about Austin Powers when I saw the trailer and immediately thought how funny it would be if Torneko Taloon was running around with a laser attached to his head. Who needs sharks with freakin’ laser beams on their heads when you have a Taloon with a laser? Torneko with a laser. I’ll write a letter to SE and see if they’ll put it in the next Heroes game.
Plattym3 2,446
I got Evoland 1 & 2 on Switch a few weeks ago on a whim. At least they were cheap.Evoland 1 is gonna take me maybe 3.5 hours to beat. Just gotta get the final boss finished off.Evoland 2 will never get started. Seeing its combat and such is much like Evoland 1, but the game is 10X longer, that's a big nope.Much like Undertale, these just aren't for me. Not bad games, just not my cup of anything.
cprmauldin 496
I grabbed some game called Mana spark for like a buck. I have no idea when, if ever, I'll get around to playing it.

YangustheLegendaryBandit 3,574
Boy, it was a bad idea to play Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate after finishing Luigi’s Mansion 3. I’ve really gotten back into the series as a whole again because of it! World was alright on the PS4, but I was not a fan of some of the changes, so going back to a classic styled Monster Hunter game feels so much better. Nothing wrong with World by any means, and I still enjoy it, but it had some questionable design choices. Anyway, getting back into Generations Ultimate feels great. Been playing as Hendrik from DQ11 with his Palico sidekicks Jasper and MopTopMo (who are white and purple respectively) and have been trying out stuff like the Gunlance and Hammer. Normally I go for normal Lance, but I felt like trying to learn the weapon; same for hammer.

YangustheLegendaryBandit 3,574
Been visiting the other villages in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. I really like how you get to visit ones from past games like Pokke Village from Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. Each village having a different excuse why their game’s original player Hunter is missing was a funny touch. Helping out each village opens up a lot of new quests to go after in different areas of world, and it’s cool to see how Capcom updated these explorable lands. The snowy mountains near Pokke Village looked great, especially with the new touches added to the icy caverns inside the mountain.
eal 2,646
Finally, finally, finally completed Stick of Truth. Every quest and collectible. I feel like I played 40 hours of content but my playtime says just 12. Combined with my other two attempts it’s closer to 20.

eal 2,646
The original Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon is coming out! ...for a limited time. Supposedly only 4 months. What is this anti-consumer bullshit Nintendo is pulling?

I saw the announcement while browsing the eShop waiting for Crown Tundra even though I know it’s totally not gonna come out until like 12 AM and saw a pre-order listing for it, including a limited edition of it. I go to look at it, and it’s all cool stuff I guess, but it doesn’t even come with a cart of the game. It might as well be one of those gamer loot boxes you see at a Walmart or Target. The way I understood it it was going to be a game you had to buy. 31 minutes ago, eal said: I saw the announcement while browsing the eShop waiting for Crown Tundra even though I know it’s totally not gonna come out until like 12 AM and saw a pre-order listing for it, including a limited edition of it. Wait, it doesn’t even get a physical cart in that big collector’s edition? Well, guess if I get it it’s just going to be digital. I was going to (possibly) try and get it too. This is like the collector’s edition for the Collection of SaGa over in Japan: it’s getting a fancy collector edition with all this cool stuff but they didn’t throw in a physical copy of the game on a Switch cart. YangustheLegendaryBandit 3,574
Platty, looks like the game is going to be $5.99 on the eshop for a few months. I’m ok with that price, so I’ll try and get it in December or when I’m looking at any Black Friday eshop deals. https://www.siliconera.com/fire-emblem-shadow-dragon-and-the-blade-of-light-switch-port-announced/ Still #$*!ing stupid it’s limited time, but I bet after the months have passed the game will wind up on the NES Online app.

They're not going to stop selling a damn thing. I'd literally bet my entire retirement account on it.Nothing will be limited. Formats and such might be, but Nintendo will gladly take money next April, perhaps just in another way.

Formats and such might be, but Nintendo will gladly take money next April, perhaps just in another way. I’m reminded of that free Jump Rope game they put up on the eshop during the summer. It was a free download until September, but then once the date it was going to be pulled hit Nintendo suddenly went “Oh hey, we’re keeping this up for availability!” At least with Fire Emblem it’s only $6. I figured it was going to be $20 or $30 for it since they included QoL features (and I wouldn’t have put it past Nintendo to up the price).
Plattym3 2,446
I wonder if Nintendo is going to start some sort of service similar to Microsoft Game Pass. Maybe Nintendo Online Plus or Premium. Charge more per month and then you get access to those games that "aren't available for purchase" any longer. So the date is March 31st? Sets up a good April Fools joke. Delete them all that day, bring them all back April 2nd. Haha, we all fell for it!I need a new stamp. Instead of It's Not Coming, I need "It's not Leaving".Or maybe just a Batman & Robin slap meme. Twinkie 249
I would like to point out as well, that this game has been free on the NES app in Japan for a while now. I am glad to see that this is being localized. It just feels like a lot of the hype has gotten taken away from the no physical cart release and the limited time crap. Leave it to Nintendo to get me really hyped about a release, and then gutting it a few seconds later. They are really damn good at doing that. I can deal with no cart, but the limited time thing? Why?
eal 2,646
If I were to guess, they’re hoping this will shore up more money for them than if they just sold it like normal. It’s only $6, why not just buy it just in case? You won’t be able to get it on eBay later. I was at a Walmart just a couple days ago and saw 3D All-Stars lined from end to end of the Switch games case. Of course, you could always just buy the DS version of Shadow Dragon on the Wii U...
Twinkie 249
Yeah, at least at that price point it is pretty good. I just personally find it a little funny that people were complaining on the Switch not having the VC and going with Nintendo Online with old rereleases. But they finally localize a game and release it at a fair price point and then complain about it not being free on NSO. I managed to pick up the physical copy of it from Gamestop. It has gone up twice. Both times the orders only lasted for 15 minutes. So it doesn't bode well for those who really want to get a copy of it. Hoping the availability of it won't be as bad as the Fates CE.

I’ll try and pre-order (or pre-load, whatever it’s called on the eshop) the game around Black Friday. I’m hoping there will be some early deals like last year. I’ve got my fingers crossed some more of the King of Fighters and/or other SNK arcade games will be $4 again this year. I got King of Fighters ‘95, ‘97, 2000, and Garou: Mark of the Wolves last year for that price point, so don’t fail me this year sales!
