DLC Quest Question: Save Editor

Recommended Posts

For the save editor, I was just wondering if I would be able to use the datel action replay powersaves pro - nintendo 3ds  to extract the data from Dragon Quest 9 (the physical copy)  instead of the NDS adaptor plus?

this is the action replay I have, (https://www.amazon.com/Datel-Action-Replay-Power-Saves-Pro/dp/B00IVJ1M7M/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=action+replay&qid=1552921931&s=gateway&sr=8-2)

I don't know about that device in particular but I do know that NDS Adaptor plus is supposedly incompatible or fussy with Windows 10 particularly the 64 bit one.

I ordered this one https://www.nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=271 which should work and doesn't have the compatibility issues. I am just waiting for it to arrive from China but if it works,I will be sure to let everyone here know.

Hey @Maxrebo. Did this ever arrive? Does it work similarly to the NDS Adaptor for ripping .sav files?

Yes it has arrived,I just haven't had the chance to test it but I plan on doing so soon.Since things have been hectic over here recently.

No need to do any of that because I just tested my R4I Save Dongle on my Windows 10 64-bit Gaming PC and I was able to successfully extract my Dragon Quest IX Save File and had no issues whatsoever. No I just got to run it through the save editor unlock the additional content  and then put the save back on my game copy and I should be good to go.Getting everything to work was incredibly fast and easy.

This is where I got my dongle from https://www.nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=271 and when it comes to drivers Malwarebytes blacklisted the site for containing Trojans but I was able to get the files from  this page Dongle/ and made sure to scan with both Bitdefender and Malwarebytes before doing anything else and everything came up clean.

So if everything works with the editor and putting it back on the cart, make sure to spread the news far and wide that one can still buy the R4i dongle and its a more than suitable replacement for NDS Adapter.
