My World of Light file in Smash is at 99.67%. So close to a perfect file.

Psych called. My blood work is fine. No concerns there so that's pretty nice.

On my way home I spotted three big dogs. They'd gotten out of their yard and were going on a grand adventure. Didn't want them to get lost or hurt, so I corralled them at a park and loaded them into m

Oh @Plattym3, I made something for you. Warning DQXI Post-game spoilers

I managed to get all prepped for the upcoming Pokemon tournament. Hoping it goes well this time around. Ex and I have been reconnecting. We both admit to making mistakes last time.

Had the day off so I did the rest of my Christmas shopping today. It’s so much nicer shopping at the mall on a weekday versus the weekend, and I’m glad to have all my Christmas shopping done. Now I just need the last gift to arrive in the mail and I’ll be ready to wrap.

Also went and finally saw Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Good film and direct follow up, but boy, that ending raises a big “Wait, what?!” Kind of bummed we didn’t see more beasts like the first film, but what new ones were shown off had some cool designs.

Ugh. Christmas Shopping. I need to do that too.

Saw that movie too, pretty good and looking forward to the next one.

So... I hate to be a complainer, but it's worked again!

A few years back my wife and I got shitty advice and rediculously slow service on a single can of paint at Sherman Williams after the guy spent over an hour convincing us to do this and that and when he went to actually make the paint, couldn't and when he got help, found out it was impossible in that color, that style. Lowe's did it in 5 minutes and I said so on my bad Yelp review. Regional Manager gets in contact and next thing I know he's meeting me at the store to personally hand me $300 in paint. Very very nice.

This week my wife got kinda playfully yelled at by a neighbor over a "dead grass" violation he received from the HOA (I'm a Board member, secretly an undercover HOA hater trying to keep the rest of the board from really passing anything. Oh and I got a $50k playground built). It being winter and our community not being one with sprinklers, 500ish of our 508 homes' yards all go dormant for 5 months anyway. So I log on and notice the company we pay to manage violations sent out 71 "dead grass" violations, costing the HOA somewhere around $300-$500 in processing and mailing ratea. It's F-ing winter! Not to mention, we specifically brought this up and it was well-documented in our May meeting said company. I wrote a very not-nice email providing pictures of violations with typos all over, stupid violations, and violations not according to our code. Put our manager's boss on the email since she's new and rarely responds to anything anyway... dude responds at 10pm. I email back a bit nicer and mention how my wife was upset she's taking the blame for his company's mistake (ok, a bit of stretch here, but I know the neighbor will yell at me tomorrow). Dude gets back to me at midnight! detailing changes that will be made (from what I understand, we're their largest client) and privately sending me $150 gift card to take my wife out! Holy cow (pun intended, it's a steak house)! Between this and the gutter company responding at 6am to my request for them to fix an issue we discovered 6 months after installation, my faith in customer service is returning. Oh heck, and after almost a full year, I'm allowed to review on Amazon again! Trifecta this week!

That's actually pretty cool. Thanksgiving isn't my favorite holiday. I don't care for most of the traditional Thanksgiving food, plus I don't eat much anyway. A Korean BBQ place would be a ton o' fun.

It was. The place had some really good stuff...

I know my company is taking us to a classy Chinese restaurant to celebrate the end of the year

Got knocked out in round 2 during sudden death. I won't lie, the rules for the tournament were kinda jank. FFA no items, final smash on, battle field stages. I got a smash towel though.

First American Christmas this year with the family. Last year we were in Japan for my wedding (one year ago, tomorrow). For Christmas we spent it in Japan with my visiting parents and brother's family. We went to Atami. Somehow we found a Japanese Catholic church for Christmas mass. My wife and the baby bowed out, so it was the Americans traversing to fins a random, small church through the hills of Atami. The parish was super nice and they gave us English translations of the Japanese mass, to follow along. Afterward they invited us to a dinner they were throwing in the rectory. There was a language barrier, but one of the parishioners spoke English, so she was able to translate.

Later that night at Christmas dinner my dad inadvertently tried wasabi for the first time when he ate a chunk of it at once. We were all laughing to hard to ask him if he was okay. I always say that was one of my favorite memories of Christmas last year, and then I have to caveat that with "...besides the wedding," lest I invoke a stank-face from The Mrs.

Took a year off from the Den's annual Fantasy Football League as we had declining membership, but kept up the family league & work league due to peer and wife pressure. The family league I snuck into the playoffs on the last weekend but will probably exit based upon me not checking my lineup before the 1pm games (one guy sat out). Thought I was a goner anyway as my 7-7 team was taking on my 14-0 aunt who retired last year and apparently has nothing better to do. It's a surprisingly close one and I'll likely lose by single digits. D'oh.

Work league is usually a burned $20 investment yearly as competition is as rough as the old TV show The League. Somehow made the playoffs for the first time in 4 years as the last seed. Took out the top player last week and am cruising to another upset this week by almost doubling my crippled opponent's score. Blind dumb luck, but looks like I should finish at worst 2nd place and get some $$$ back. I should dump out next year and call it even (especially since I swear they plan the live draft on Plattym4's birthday each year)!

Viz made basically every manga on their website freely available for those with subscriptions. Noticed Pretty Face, the first ecchi manga I ever read thinking it was just gonna be goofy shenanigans, so I know what I’ll read first (when I leave work!).

Spent my day adulting. I went to the psych ward to retrieve some forms I had handed in but due to an error by the secretary said forms did not make it to the proper figure and therefore were not finished. As such this also meant one less stop since I did not have to return the forms. After the psych ward I proceeded to the genetics testing lab. I walked up eight flights of stairs to be notified that I needed to take the eastern elevators to access the lab. As luck would have it the elevators in question were not operational. Following that adventure I then proceeded to my old university to inquire at the services for students with disabilities office on the procedure to register with them. That was fairly simply to do and took nearly no time at all once I found the location so I proceeded to the comic book store across the street (which is shutting down at the end of the year). I wandered inside to see if there might be anything in which my nephew would like but most things there would probably be a little too advanced for him. A few blocks away is one of my dentists (yes, I have more than one) so at the request of my surgeon I booked an appointment there to see about what will be covered when it comes time to have my fake teeth put in.

There’s going to be a new Hellboy movie...but without Ron Perlman as Hellboy.

I will admit the trailer has me interested though. Not much of a comic guy, but I do like Hellboy. I mean, his inclusion in Injustice 2 almost got me to buy the game.

So the Hellboy trailer is...interesting. I admit, I prefer Ron Pearlman's look, but they're using a lot of material from the comics. I'm seeing elements from The Wild Hunt story, Baba Yaga, the witches, the faeries, and Gruagach. That's all good stuff. A key part of Hellboy is him going up against a huge monster, saying, "Aw, crap!" and getting knocked around. Given Sasha Lane's character, we're going to get a movie version of one of my favorite Hellboy stories. So I'm cautiously optimistic.

A couple weeks ago, after Jenny Lewis announced her new tour next year, I was inspired to read through the Wikipedia entry on Acid Tongue, her second solo album, for whatever reason, and I discovered that there were two songs not on the physical release, one of which was exclusive to the Japanese version of all places. I found one of them on iTunes.

I decided to look into that today and though the one song on Acid Tongue wasn’t on the Japanese iTunes Store, there were almost, like, half a dozen songs I’ve never seen on the US store as additional songs on various singles of hers and Rilo Kiley’s. I allowed myself to hope for a second that maybe Xmas Cake would be on there as well but no dice. I’m curious to know if these songs can find on other stores, and if so, why they also aren’t available in the US.

Finished fixing a smartphone my sister had broken the screen on. Only problem's I had was getting the battery out and getting the usb port to line back up.

I'm surprised at the amount of sites giving away free games so far this month. Which I do have a key for a game that I don't want. Game is called Damnation let me know and I'll send the key your way.
