Not sure what that fully entails, but I'd like to hear it when it's complete.

I was just thinking today if any of the DQ orchestral soundtracks are available in vinyl.  I haven't seen anything like that in my online research.  Did they even print vinyl records of Koichi Sugiyama's DQ albums?  Is vinyl as trendy among Japanese audiophiles as it is in the US?

There was a vinyl LP for DQ2, but it wasn't the symphonic version. Other than that, I have no clue.

Finally finished with Pickham's Casino(I lucked out with a 50x multiplier on Bingo, giving me a bit more than the goal I set, that allowed me to buy some more stuff than originally planned). I'm now near Trodain(after wandering around the Pickham region before talking to the party).

Ah, that's too bad.  It defeats the purpose if it's not the orchestral version.

I remember one of my DQIV soundtracks (I think the 2002 Dragon Quest IV Live concert) had a full orchestral score printed on the CD booklet including musical staff for all instruments.  It's tiny, because they had to fit it into a CD booklet, but I should scan that and see if I can blow it up to sheet music size.  It would be interesting to analyze all the parts.

What I really want to get, though, is a string quartet score for Koichi Sugiyama's DQII Chateau.  If I were ever to get married, I'd want a quartet playing that at the cocktail hour, and then have a friend of mine sing "She's Your Queen...To Be" from Coming To America, at the reception.  I'd consider the whole thing a dull affair, otherwise. :tounge2:

I'm working on an assignment about anti-suffrage right now. Not the most interesting thing to be doing. But today we did move on to the Russian Revolution. That is more my style. Plus, Rasputin looked like Jesus in the picture my teacher showed us.

Just curious, but does anyone know how the Facebook messenger app works? I saw I had a new message while I was at school, but I can't see it since the school has blocked Facebook on the Wi-Fi. However, I could see who it was from, but on my laptop, there is no new message from that person showing up.

Messenger works like a text message app really. Install it and send messages to Facebook friends. Nothing mysterious about it.

So tonight was an unexpected treat. My wife is going to substitute at my school for the next 3 days, so her mom came over. We got invited out tonight and had dinner at a new dive. I had a bacon & egg topped hamburger with bacon jam on it. Amazing! The bacon jam was by far the best part. Then, as we had a free babysitter, we walked to two bars and had some fun beers and good times afterwards. A totally unexpected and unplanned evening.

It's my wife and my 2nd anniversary next week. We've promised not to get gifts and honestly my wife usually buys gifts that we both benefit from (actually, I love that). Since we're not fine dining folk, I was thinking of planning 5 different specialty burger nights for us next week to celebrate our love of simple meals and home cooking. Any ideas?

I find it weird that the message I got via the app doesn't appear in my desktop chat with that person. And I never got to read it either. To top it off, it was from my crush of all people.

Bacon jam? I've never heard of it. What is it?

I'm no cook or anything, but burgers with mushrooms, chicken burgers, and even salmon burgers are always nice.

Bacon jam was a sweet sauce with big chunks of bacon. I'm going to have to look up how to make it, because honestly I tasted it more than even the egg on top of the burger, and I absolutely LOVE a runny fried egg on my burger.

That bacon jam sounds amazing. I'll have to look into it. I always did like bacon.

Forgot I had this, but when I worked at MTV in 2005 in the on-line commercial department, I was given a commercial tape to encode from sales for Dragon Quest VIII, which would have come to from the ad agency that represented Square Enix.  When commercial ops department was done with the encoding process digital media used to just toss the tapes, but this was DQVIII, so I saved the beta SP tape of the commercial.  I still have the tape at home, even though I don't have a beta SP player.  It's the most random piece of swag I own.

Other than school and lots of writing, not much new is happening for me.  However, I did recently learn that Yuzo Koshiro was the man who composed the soundtrack for ActRaiser.  I love Koshiro's work from the Etrian Odyssey series, so I was pretty happy to learn he had done ActRaiser's music too! Never would've guessed he composed for the game, but it does explain why I love the soundtrack so much.

I went to Challenge Day today. The feels were real.

Wtf is challenge day?

It's a day where these people from California come to the school and the give a whole day on how to make the world a more positive place. We learned life stories about people, we laughed, we cried, we danced, I twerked.

I got the ship now, went to obtain the treasures that required the Magic Key and am about to scout out some good monsters for Morrie's Arena next time I play(as well as do a rank or two) before going to the next areas.

I just told my crush that I like her. From my experience, this won't end well. But, stranger things have happened, such as To Serve Man, a Kanamit's guide to cooking delicious meals.

That's not so weird when you're in...... The Twilight Zone.

Plot twist: we live in The Twilight Zone and what we perceive as The Twilight Zone is actually The Negative Zone.

Personally, while I like the popular ones a lot, the other non-memorable episodes are among my favorites. The episode Yangus was referring to (Shadow Play) was really good. One of my favorites is Will the Real Martian Stand Up? where a group of people are stuck in the restaurant in a snowstorm and try to figure out who among them is an alien, followed closely by The Midnight Sun. I Am the Night - Color Me Black was also superb. The Howling Man is really good too. I also really like the one with the criminal dying and going to heaven is also one of the best non-memorable episodes out there.
