One Time Password removal e-mail?

Recommended Posts

I happened to get a security token for Dragon Quest X. When I registered, I got a thank you e-mail but no e-mail about an emergency removal procedure. Do I have to do something to trigger the e-mail? I'm worried if something happens to the token. Did I miss a message with the removal password when I was registering the token?

Anyone know anything about this emergency removal password? Did I just miss it while setting the OTP up? I guess I can try redoing it.

emergency removal password can be found when you log in to SQUARE ENIX Account Management System

Hmmm. Those instructions show how to use the emergency removal password but not where to find it. Then again, it doesn't mention there being a password for the keychain device which is what I have. They only mention it for the smartphone app.

My bad I misread it. There are no emergency removal password for the physical token since it can be removed by logging in to the account management system.

Yeah I see that too. But what happens if you lose the physical token or the battery dies? To log onto the account management system, you still need the one time password. Strange.

Thanks! That'll be sufficient in case something happens to the token.

I think in the end you'll end up showing your actual ID so the account needs to match the id info.
