I really want to play this game! Come on SE, announce that Spring Release date!

I'm surprised we haven't heard anything yet. Wasn't their plan to announce more info on the western release this fall?
Like they released DQ7 last summer on literally the final week of summer in September?

So, I figure they'll say something around December 20th, you know, what we never think of as fall, but still is.

I've never understood why summer goes into late September and fall into late December. Seems odd to me.

As far as I'm concerned, Spring is March, April, and May, Summer is June, July, and August, Fall is September, October, and November, and Winter is December, January, and February.

That's my headcannon too for months, exactly.
We live in a world where Platty uses the term "headcanon."

Yet failed to spell it correctly. How 'bout that?

As for the seasons, my guess would be that it has to do with the general trend of temperature changes as each month passes by.

It's quite probable Platty meant a literal cannon on his head ;).

That sounds just improbable enough to be a weapon in Bloodborne.

Funny. To me it sounds like a hat the Powder Keg hunters would wear, like Djura in Old Yharnam.

Giving brainpower a whole new meaning.

Oh lord, you just reminded me of one of the DLC items that really alters your appearance due to the item being heavily related to Insight.

Let's just say it's close to the Nightmare of Mensis levels of "what on earth is that."

I think it gives blood lust a whole new meaning.

Yeah - the "cross-save" feature basically takes where you are in the game on one console and puts you in the same place on another console, but does so by making an approximation of what items, skills, and levels you might have. For example, I was working on a complete bestiary, and wound up at level 99 for all of the characters available in the first portion of the game before the mid-point

.  I got the Spell of Restoration from a priest and switched to the PS4 version only to find all of my characters with levels somewhere in the mid-30s, fewer than half of the skills I worked to raise, 1/4 of the gold, and none of the rare items/equipment I got through drops.  Needless to say, I reverted back to the 3DS version.

Good to know.

Ill probably only get one version then.

Well...at first...ill probably want both eventually.

So, basically, low-level, no-items run, and then cross-save for extra levels and cash!

@Sword of Dusk

I guess that would make Bloodborne, Bloodporn.

That's what I had figured.  The codes I had seen were far too short to account for all of the same data transferring.  Then again, this was not a feature I cared for.  My plan being to replay each version from scratch.  It's more fun that way, though it is annoying trying to get the same rares over again, apparently DQ11 isn't as painful to hunt rares as say...Yangus and SSS or the 3DS' Red and her version of autosteal, which I'm coming to find is less potent than I had initially thought.

Still, it is a little sad they never thought to include certain data, like if % sections of regions are completed in terms of enemies, if you have particularly rare items/equipment found, and at least level/skill point amount (if not distribution) data.  Maybe the length of the code would have been too complex to tack that in and they stuck with just story position with fixed attributes/etc. or some algorithm that creates maybe some randomization based on average playthroughs.  I guess that last element would be fun to test...so much to test though.  Too much to test these days.

Wait. According to what calender does fall go into December? That's the first I've ever heard of that, and I'm struggling to see the logic in it.

In northern hemisphere, Fall is September 22 to December 21.  So... all Calendars north of the equator I guess.

Did a bit of research, and it seems there's an "astronomical" fall that indeed stretches from equinox to solstice, making it the last of the four seasons in the astronomical cycle of the sun.

Calender wise, it's always been september/october/november. Though judging by the English Wikipedia page I guess there might be a different "stance" in North America, but it's a little difficult to decipher. I guess you can justify it in areas with a warmer climate, but but honestly, it sounds pretty absurd to me to start calling December a part of "fall". Hell, even claiming that we are still in fall right now honestly feels like a stretch. :P We had to drive home through a snow storm yesterday.

At the end of the day, I guess it does mean Squarenix theoretically could have until late December to let us know anything, though I wouldn't keep my hopes up ;)

Ha ha, I totally know what you mean.  At my latitude, we've got snow in October sometimes and it usually stays around for good starting in November (i.e. doesn't just immediately melt).  I've been skating on the pond behind my house for a couple of weeks already, so when I hear that the announcement may come later this fall, I definitely have the same reaction as you.

Anyway, hoping for news soon.

Well, it's December... they got like 19 days to fall within the "Fall" window for updates. Maybe Horii will drop some news on Christmas...

That would almost be appropriate. In fact, I don't think I'd be terribly shocked if that happened.

Perhaps they are going to announce something at PlayStation Experience? Even I can't see them doing that but I can only hope.
