Enclave 77 Posted September 22, 2016 (edited) I've been spending an unhealthy amount of my free time playing Lucky Panel. For most of it I wasn't bothering writing down what I was winning but I started to eventually. I'll be playing more so I'll probably be updating this. However since I won't be playing at all for a number of hours or possibly the rest of the day today I figured I'd post this now. ignasia 1,089 Posted September 23, 2016 Yes, it does, just not on rails...never again. You can switch between walking and fighting. Fighting brings up the classic DQS controls, but walking allows full motion walking, jumping, hell...I'd love some platforming to get to certain items. Plus more combo skills in combat would be nice, and maybe even more slash forms, or heck, more weapon types and ways of using them. I can think of a few "strokes" that better fit the profile of a whip. Problem is, you NEED motion controls. That's a huge limitation on future releases on console. Either it requires its own separate controller, or the system has a motion controller, but one WITH other buttons. The Sony and MS motion systems would suck donkey balls without a lot of tweaks, and even then it would be a little wonky to do both controller and motion system. Sony would be easier. In anycase, HOT DAMN the Lucky Panel in the 3DS is broken as all get out. Going for broke in a broken system. Hell, the money you make selling the extra equipment should be more than enough to pay for the coins to continue killing at the game. My N3DS can't arrive any sooner. My DQ7 game was also just recently pushed back from today...to Saturday. I'm PRAYING my N3DS comes in by Wednesday next week, so I can actually download the first three maps. jay 220 Posted September 23, 2016 Well, technically Swords WAS the sequel. The first game never hit the states

I'm making insane profits doing this. I'm now largely just doing this to get the data but yeah I'm getting rich in the process as well as kitted out in great gear at minimal costs. It costs 5 casino coins to play and each coin is 20 gold. So 100 gold per play and I win probably 30-50% of the time. ignasia 1,089 Posted September 23, 2016 DQ7 also has a lot of expensive equipment...very expensive equipment. Makes it very easy to make that back with a few mid-tier armour or weapon sales. Plus given you win so many at once, instead of just 3 in the PSX. Wow. I'm kind of sad at this change. It's a little too broken. Even the original was a great way to make money, but this just cranks up the volume to 11. Good thing it's not a boring mini-game.
Enclave 77 Posted September 23, 2016 Anyways, I'm reasonably sure I have documented everything that can show up at Lucky Panel when it first becomes available. I'll try to keep this thread updated after Alltrades and then with the other casinos in the game. Who knows, maybe I'll make a casino guide.
ignasia 1,089 Posted September 23, 2016 Realize the past and present casinos have different prize lists. So you'll have to grab the present version as well. The Haven's third form casino has the same prize list as the first casino, the past version near Alltrades. It changes after the final dungeon is revealed into the ultimate casino. Don't forget about Coastal. I believe in this version, as with the PSX, the upper floors of the Lucky Panel have different stuff from the lower and technically there are 5 total sets of lucky panel games, 1 repeated. I think that's a good idea, a casino guide
Enclave 77 Posted September 23, 2016 I was planning on extra testing than you suggested there, just in case for instance the past casino near alltrades would get hearts after vocations are unlocked. Thanks for the advice though.

The Mystical One 245 Posted September 23, 2016 Tips for lucky panel? I only managed to match everything one time. Usually if I don't find the shuffle in my initial six, I just give up.

At least in the Present, the Pilgrim's rest one has Platinum Mail. And a Party Dress, Spangled Dress, Staff of Divine Wrath, and Glass Shoes Tips for lucky panel? I only managed to match everything one time. Usually if I don't find the shuffle in my initial six, I just give up.Write things down, and be systematic. I keep an Excel spreadsheet for that purpose. And make sure to remember the dimensions. It kinda blends for me, so I make sure the grids I use to jot down locations are outlined heavily. Destructor526 42 Posted September 23, 2016 I hope the later casinos give hearts like in the PS1 version. Didn't notice any in Alltrades area. Then we can farm gold and monster hearts faster.

Tiael 229 Posted September 23, 2016 Oh $#!&, there goes more of my time when I finish doing some vocation grinding, literally just finished Alltrades Past, took the ship to the Present one so I could Zoom and change vocations easily. Didn't explore around Alltrades Present at all, or check out the casino. There's also the new island too.
Enclave 77 Posted September 23, 2016 Tips for lucky panel? I only managed to match everything one time. Usually if I don't find the shuffle in my initial six, I just give up. When you get to flip your initial cards? Flip all the cards on the bottom row and the right most card on the 2nd to the bottom row. The shuffle and extra turn cards are disproportionately located there and VERY rarely near the top.

gooieooie 277 Posted September 27, 2016 I matched up a 1000 gold coin prize there, too. I didn't win it though, nor have I won a single game of Lucky Panel. ;n;

gooieooie 277 Posted September 27, 2016 (edited) Yeah, I took out a paper, wrote down symbols on a grid, and tried it with taking pictures before that. The Lucky Panel just doesn't want me to be lucky. Edited September 27, 2016 by gooieooie
YangustheLegendaryBandit 2,856 Posted September 27, 2016 Well let's see if I can win something from lucky panel. I fear for my success of there is any.
