You can continuously tap the battle screen to make attacking faster. Not sure if that was in V or not.

Sounds familiar. Or maybe I just thought it was helping before. I'm an impatient battler. Good to know!

NOOO, don't grind in the DS game.  Just keep moving.  The exp you'll get from slaughtering everything with the boomerang will suffice.

Wait until the casino, and grind a little for some Tokens, then take advantage of the sweet Platinum Mail, Dragon Shield, and a few Tuxedo's to sell, then return back to Weaver's Peak, buy that fancy polished armour on display in the shop.  Milly will look great in it.

Anyway, this should come with a stipend...Murdaw by level 15!  You can do it!

I only grinded him enough to match the heroes level, which happened extremely quickly thanks to the boomerang.

And don't worry I'll definitely be spending time in the casino.

No. The I, II, and III ports use a different engine in which the music is encrypted (though it wasn't originally, which is why I could rip DQ1 iOS' OST from the Japanese version). IV-VI and VIII don't run on that engine though. They could've encrypted the music if they really wanted to, but I think they don't care enough. It's possible they didn't even encrypt the music in 1-3 but only changed how it's packaged. In which case, that change in I's engine would have carried over to two and three. But I still find it suspicious that the update in which all the files were encrypted and/or repacked was released only the day after I uploaded the OST.

Is this game a carbon copy of the DS remake? Just recently finished that version, and I'll consider buying it again if there is added content.

Maybe I'll just buy it regardless to show support.

In case anyone is wondering, I'm using Google Translate.

Apparently you can get a free, and new item: Bracer of Heroes?  ã”ã†ã‘ã¤ã®ã†ã§ã‚

It's available through the portal system, at least in Japan, and adds +25 Attack.  The DS/SFC's best Str based accessory is +20, and is the Ruby of Power/Raging Ruby.

Until July1, in Japan, if you enter the communication section, and there's apparently a "gift code" screen?  Enter, MABO-ROSI-NODA-ICHI, and you'll get a Shoes of Happiness, which is new to DQ6.  I'm sure the Japanese version will have other special accessory gifts.  I wonder if we'll ever get them.

Suite Dreams still exists, however, instead of Dreamscapes, you'll collect Dream Shards throughout the game, and present them there.  This begins the moment the Bed is unlocked.  16 in total, 6 will unlock the basement and Curie, while all 16 are required to access Mercury.  Check bookshelves for them!  I'm not sure, but it seems like they appear in order?  So they have to be picked up individually, in the order granted?  I'm not sure on this.  Best to check.

http://dq6.info/dq6_sumaho_maboroshi.html

Number 1: Amor, the house that opens up in the NE corner, after getting the bed.  Dream World.

Number 2: Sunken Ship.  Real world.

Number 3: Fortune Teller on the Western edge of the continent with Somnia that's inaccessible until after the Mermaid's Harp.  She's just SE of Wellshire for the fastest Zoom.  Real world.

Number 4: Turnscoat, NW exterior.  Real world.

Number 5: Sorceria, NW stairs, that underground area.  Dream world.

Number 6: Sorceria, NW stairs, that underground area.  Dream world.

Number 7: Castle Graceskull, top floor.  Dream world.

Number 8: Cloudsgate Castle, library, lower right.  Dream world.

Number 9: Felonia Castle, 2F far right.  Real world.   <<<-Ok THIS should be tested when the Mermaid Harp is gained.

Number 10: Felonia Castle, adjacent building where the Queen Mother lives.  Real world.   <<<-THIS too.

Number 11: Underwater Shrine near Howcastle.  Real world.   <<<-THIS too

Number 12: Poseidon's Palace.  Real world.   <<<-THIS too

Number 13: Suite Dreams.  Basement.  Dream world.

Number 14: Suite Dreams.  Basement.  Dream world.

Number 15: Greedmore Valley.  ...I'm guessing the mansion with the rich bastard that sends you on the ridiculous quest for money, for the Sage's "treasure."  Dreadrealm.

Number 16: Gallows Moor.  The only house that exists within the prison, sounds like the second floor of the Inn.  Dreadrealm.

Terry joins at level 33, not 28, as in the DS version.  His Strength starts at 10 points higher than normally, meaning he's been given an additional 10 points to his base values.  His Agility is increased by 40 as well.  Seemingly the same scenario as with his strength.  So he's considerably more useful than he was before.

Terry also seems to start with 4 classes now maxed out, no longer just 2 and starting on Gladiator.

Warrior, Martial Artist, Priest, and it seems like Monster Master are all maxed, and he starts as a Gladiator.  I have to double check that..

Could be Warrior, MA, Priest, and Mage.  It's hard to say due to the nature of how different sites rewrite the in-game names of some skills/spells/classes as short versions or their own specialized rewording with different characters, or just a similar name, not the actual name.

Meteorite Bracer seems to be available in a different spot.  You get it in the Suite Dreams...after an event or after finishing all Dream shards?  Not sure, but apparently it's there.

Certainly interested in the buffs to Terry. I always use him regardless... I would just pump a bunch of seeds into him.

I usually end up with Terry, Hero, Lizzy, and Ash.

Anytime.

I was hoping for considerably more changes and tweaks, but these are pretty solid.  I hope they allow worldwide audiences the ability to access some of these accessories and other special equipment via promo's, etc.
