Version 3.0 information

Recommended Posts

For some reason I can't seem to find the topic with the real information on version 3, but if you're looking for that I'm sure Cran can find it. For anyone interested in completely fake and not announced information, welcome to the topic.

Source:

http://hiroba.dqx.jp/sc/topics/detail/fa3a3c407f82377f55c19c5d403335c7/

Release date: 4/30/2015

- New storyline: Finally time to head into the world of dragons that we apparently sealed at the end of version 2.

- New class: Dancer!

Shown in the trailer to be... dual wielding knives? They also showed a Fortune-teller class but it isn't officially announced nor will it be playable until at least 3.1. More info to be released in Shounen Jump on 4/6.

- New Growth System: Expert's Orb

Available after clearing version 1, but requires buying version 3. This orb will gain EXP along with you and provide different effects (element skill damage up, element resistance, etc.).

- Alchemy Pot!!!!

From the screenshot looks like we can make different magic waters, gold bars and strong boss cards. Alchemy takes real-time to complete.

Note: Not available when v3 is released, due to server load expectations it won't be available until shortly afterwards.

- Sugoroku

With bosses at the end that give you accessories (i.e: Gracos) if you win!

- 2 new Reincarnated monsters

The one for Cat Mage which looks like it will drop a new magic staff for dress up purr-poses.

- New Strong Bosses

Gretzel being the first... because perverted players. It also seems like you'll actually need to go to the boss location, as the area doesn't seem to be the generic Tenma arena used for every strong boss in the book.

- That person is appearing in the Magic Labyrinth?!?!

That green cape, those macho muscles... who could it possibly be?! Be sure to bring plenty of repellent.

- New Armor sets

- Furniture Catalog available from your door

The ability to see how things will look in your house and even an option to search the bazaar to buy it.

- New Weekly Hunt quest

True Rendashia now gets the same type of quest! And yes you can do both for two helpings of 100k+ EXP per week!

- Brooch Treasure in the Pyramid

Every week, one room (same for everyone) will contain a treasure that is always a brooch! But... what if it appears in 7-9? No chances at an Ankh for us?!

- Training Stamp cap: 5500 -> 6000

- Monster minimedal reward cap: 500 -> 600

- New hairstyles! Two per race!

- New color dyes for equips and flowers for those colors.

- Neon signs for your garden

- Rine's fusion shop is being upgraded with two new things: Fusion Level and Fusion Energy.

When combining coin boss accessories/brooches/ankhs Rine will gain EXP towards the next fusion level. Cap appears to be lv20.

Levelling up will gain one of 3 (fixed based on level) effects: Fusion costs -5% (-15% at cap obtained at lv2, 11 and 20), Lucky fusion +3% (+6% at cap obtained at lv5, 14), Critical Fusion +0.5% (+1% at cap obtained at lv8, 17)

Lucky Fusion: The fused accessory isn't lost in the process.

Critical Fusion: Pick from a list of all possible effects.

Fusion Energy: Accumulates via fusions in the base accessory, when full the next fusion on that accessory is a guaranteed critical fusion.

- Poker rebalance:

No more choice to double up, you receive your payout and double up from there.

Chance to win on a double up is the same no matter how many times you've won (like with 7 [proven with save states], there were hands you couldn't win)

(Soooooo going to get addicted to poker)

- Monster reincarnations: 6 -> 7

- Angel Slime Hat power up: lv 49 -> 59, can be equipped by Tamer and Item Master.

- New Trial bosses

- New coin boss

- All seeds you can plant in your garden that took more than 5 days to complete are reduced to 5 days.

- In the royal labyrinth, monster locations will appear on the minimap.

Skill Balances:

- æ°´æµã®ã‹ã¾ãˆ (Staffs): The counter rate up effect will not be applied if you switch weapons.

- Big Shield (Shields): Uh can't really tell, but probably in line with the staff change above.

- Multi-shot, Shining Bow (Bows): Any MP recovery effects will only take place once.

- MP recovery on attack (Magic Knight): 6 -> 10 MP

- Dual wielding (Battle Master): Appears that they are adding an extra hit to skills if you're dual wielding. Damage will be based on your LH weapon which has a much lower attack rating than RH.

- ã¨ã†ã“ん討㡠(Battle Master): Damage up, tension rate up

- ãƒ†ãƒ³ã‚·ãƒ§ãƒ³ãƒãƒ¼ãƒ³ (Battle Master): Tension rate up

- Miracle Boost (Battle Master): Also has a chance to increase your tension.

- ã‚‚ã‚ã°æ–¬ã‚Š (Battle Master): Major damage increase. This skill has recoil damage, so it'll also increase but by a lesser amount.

- Beast Mode (Tamer): Duration up

- ã‚ªã‚ªã‚«ãƒŸã‚¢ã‚¿ãƒƒã‚¯ (Ranger): Damage up

- é”力ã®æ¯å¹ (Mage): MP recovery up

- ç–¾é¢¨è¿…é›· (Whips): Damage up

- Holy Light (Priest): Also adds HP regen

- All HP regen spells, and fan skill: HP recovery rate up

- Magic Knight's Badge: Activation rate up

- Magic Roulette (Magic Knight): Now effects everyone around you as well.

- Plasma Mover (Item Master): Now effects everyone around your target as well.

- ãƒ•ã‚§ãƒ³ãƒªãƒ«ã‚¢ã‚¿ãƒƒã‚¯ (Ranger): Major damage increase (no change in arena)

- çœŸãƒ»ã‚„ã„ã°ãã ã (Warrior): Damage up, also adds a new effect that weakens enemies attacks (not the same as the atk down debuff it already provides)

The rest of this month is going to be torture...

Sure wish SE would stop using everyone outside Japan to beta test its FFXIV updates, and give us the game they seem to polish each content update and take more time with. -_-

Is it possible to pre-order the digital PC version? I've got ~4000 Webmoney, which I can turn into Crysta if needed.

I pre-ordered the physical Wii U version from Amazon/Tenso, so I'll be a little later to the party than the rest of you.  Though if Tenso gets and lists it for shipping approval fast enough, it's possible for me to get it by the 2nd.

I was originally going to get the physical version, but importing charges for something that is essentially just an install disc in a bare-bones case... I think I will avoid the absurd shipping and customs charges that those faster shipping services always seem to have. Plus being on the east coast of Canada means I usually need to wait a week due to them first bringing it to the states then over my way.

Been taking a look at the dancer screenshots on that new site.

At 85

Dancer: 250 HP, 160 MP, 160 Strength (no passives)

Assumes that in the screens:

- All passives obtained.

- Dagger weapon skill at 150.

- The armor they have has a set effect of 8 HP, 8 MP.

- All weapons and armor are 0 star.

- No accessories, no stat seeds.

They also know some magic, but that was pretty much a given.

Just love when screenshots tell a lot more information than they should. That Sword Dance screen... love it!

48: Magic Might +5

56: ç¥ˆã‚Šã®ã‚´ã‚¹ãƒšãƒ« (Dancer only): {Not shown}. However, it's named in a similar fashion to the next skill. So maybe it increases the healing power of allies around you? If so. Awesome.

120: Evasion +2% (Dancer only)

130: é”力ã®ãƒãƒ©ãƒ¼ãƒ‰(Dancer only): {Not shown}. However, the naming would suggest it is like Minstrel's 150 skill only for magic. Again, if so this is awesome.

140: No turn usage +1% (Dancer only)

150: å›žå¾©ã®ãƒ©ãƒ©ãƒã‚¤ (Dancer only): Buff, allies around you. Adds HP recovery when attacking. CT90

150: æˆ¦é¬¼ã®ä¹±ã‚Œèˆž (Dancer only): Self buff. Increases damage done. MP 4, CT 45

Spells learned: Sizz, Sizzle, Kasizz (Note: Not an official English name as Sizz-line spells weren't in 9.)

Alchemy Pot:

- Unlocked assuming you have version 3, and have cleared up until Q369. This is part of 2.3 (Drat... my sub char can't get that yet!)

- Alchemy never fails, but takes a lot of real time (~20 hours noted on the page)

- Allows you to make strong boss cards, including... Strong Baramos?

- The pot itself has a mood, and other players can pet it much like your pet monsters. To increase tension and shorten the time it takes for the alchemy to complete.

And newer information:

- Skillbooks staying at 21 for the time being, with the possibly of more in future updates.

- Dual wielding appears to only be having the regular attack being strengthened. Changing it from 2 hits to 3. Skills get an extra hit too!

Present spells added from last DQXTV:

ニコニコã™ã‚Œã¡ãŒã„

ニコã§ãƒ©ã‚¹ãƒˆã‚¹ãƒ‘ート

ã—ょã—ã‚“ã—ゃãŠã†ãˆã‚“

And from the official site update:

http://hiroba.dqx.jp/sc/topics/detail/f9028faec74be6ec9b852b0a542e2f39/

Expert Orb system:

- Uses gems and lithographs that you collect, along with Expert points that are obtained via levelling up the various elemental orbs you have simply by fighting enemies.

- Available through the concierge after clearing v1.

- Gems are obtained by defeating strong enemies and have many, many different effects. Starts off as an unexamined item.

- Lithographs are obtained through minimedals. 20 each. Starts off as an unexamined item.

- With gems and a lithograph of the same kind, you can find an Expert NPC in the basic towns (Glen, Azlan, Jullet, Orphea, Gatara) to examine them to make them usable. After being examined the NPC keeps them so they don't clutter up your inventory.

You set your lithographs and gems at the NPC, then can use the menu to power your gems to gain their effects. There's a ton of randomness in this so lets hope that they know what they're doing this time... the effects from the Expert orb system aren't usable in pvp for v3.

Sugoroku:

- I won't go too much into the explanation of this on the site since it's fairly straight forward. Up to 4 players can play, so this might be something to do as a group rather than with randoms like bingo. Oh and ALL coin boss accessories can be obtained here. Even the ones from 3 Demons and Uber Killing Machines.

Alchemy Pot:

- 5/7 release date

- Other pets can pet the pot to lower the time it takes to complete your alchemy. It starts off completely worn out so you'll want to do this... as the time can be halved. This is in real time of course, so you can log off and it'll still continue.

Various:

(I am aware I am skipping some minor details on the page)

- Daily/Weekly hunt quest monster will now be highlighted.

- Rebalancing daily quests. Funny I thought the previous update was supposed to increase the rewards for the lower reward quests... this one is that.

- If in a magic labyrinth alone, you can now return to it if you get disconnected in the middle. Great for metal labyrinths, but keep in mind that if it happens at the boss... too bad.

- Can now use evac in pyramid rooms.

- Timer effects in the top left are now shown when opening the menu. Not being able to see remaining time when full healing was rather annoying.

- Being dead at the time of clearing a battle no longer prevents you from levelling up.

- Skill change:

(Just the rather... drastic one not listing them all)

会心完全ガード: Changed from "Prevents all critical hits" to "Reduces damage of critical hits"

... I get that it is strong, but if it was such a huge problem they could, y'know, make more bosses that don't rely on critical hits to be menacing.

- In the monster arena you can now gain BP towards the S rank test. S rank is not being released, but you can be ready for when it does.

- Changes to monster skills. Doesn't say recruitable ones so this is probably just making a few enemies more balanced.

- Flying monsters sight range reduced. What? You didn't like being sniped through walls in dungeons by them?!

System:

- Cooking, Perfume, and Tarot effect timers added to the status menu screen.

- New ruura points added. Most noteable is one rather close to the Nokturnus area.

- If a team fails to complete a team quest, the next quest to be put in that slot will be in orange and receive an EXP bonus.

- Team quest total 8 -> 10

- Adding Team quests using version 2 contents. Bout flippin' time.

- New landing spot in Jaira Jungle. It really was impossible to land in the north west area before this btw.

- Dolboards usable... IN DUNGEONS?!?!

- Able to set a ruura stone in front of the casino.

- Able to use ruura stones in the top area of the Dwarf castle despite there being a roof. It was a real pain to walk out of there...

- Gold received through mail cannot be thrown away. Good, now do the same for Jade keys, Stat seeds and skill books... just in case.

Items:

- Changes to a few equip effects. Including the very devastating nerf to the Water robe's set effect. 50% fire resist... to 20%. Guess I will need to upgrade my equipment since it essentially is going to suck after the update.

- A new examine ability while crafting. You can now use this option (which apparently doesn't cost anything) to see how much damage you've done to each section! If it is free, why not just make it always visible? ... Maybe I should change a character to sewing now...

And a bunch of other minor changes. I'm sure I missed a few major ones since I was skimming through them to write this.

Sorry it took a while to post this. The info was released during the weekend and I sort of play the game on the weekend.  :P

Do you think there will be another bundle for v3? My brother decided he wants to play, and I'm trying to find the cheapest way to get a standalone v3 for me, and all 3 versions for him.

You'd need the currently misleading All-in-1 version (v1, v2) and v3. There won't be one with all of them right away.

About Accessory Fusion levels:

Basically ONLY accessories gotten from card bosses or rare drops will count towards Fusion Experience when fusing them. Anyone who was planning to max out their fusion level by buying several dozen gold necklaces and fusing them repeatedly, too bad. Note, this means that Shinpi Cards will also NOT count towards fusion experience points. Nor will any of the glasses gotten from mini-medals, even though several of them function the exact same way as certain rings, which makes no sense whatsoever but there you go.

About Metal Slime Coins which have become cheap as dirt these days:

You can now trade 3 Metal Slime coins in the Casino (same place you exchange Strong Boss cards for their Regular versions) for one Metal Slime Boss coin. Using this coin in the labyrinth will let you skip straight to the hidden room with the metal monsters. For example, if you're in a Metal Kings or Goldslime party but nobody has any boss cards they feel like throwing away, you can use a Metal Slime Boss coin to jump straight past all the other floors and save a LOT of time.

Pretty obvious that the entire reason for this one was the sheer number of people blatantly saving up Metal King coins to get their Dancer to the level cap on day 1.

Ugh. I didn't realize you need to finish the 36 gaiden quests as a prerequisite for 3.0. It is going slowly.

I am pleasantly surprised.  I received the shipped notification today and the disk is expected to arrive tomorrow.  Since I will be at work tomorrow, if it requires a signature I may have to wait until Friday to be able to go and pick it up.  We'll see.

If you trust your neighbors, you can try the "sign a piece of paper that you stick on your door, telling them to leave the package" method.  It's worked for me before.

Dear Nintendo:

Listing version 3 in the eShop and having a message that says "This can be purchased through the original package version's additional content menu" is confusing as heck. Make your eShop fail less please.

Not that it was actually under that list yet (version 2 is so I know it is the right spot), but it took me a while to find it. Hope it is added to the eShop soon. I'd like to install the game before I go to sleep.

I think I'm going to be coming back for 3.0. According to Amazon, the download version unlocks in an hour and a half. Hopefully I don't have any problems purchasing it. I didn't with the other ones, but I know some people have.

We look forward to having you back.  o(^-^)o

My copy shipped.  If it arrives at Tenso tomorrow and I notice it early enough, I can possibly have it for Saturday.

I'll be trying to use the 3DS version in the meantime.  1 more hour!  (hopefully...)
