Bad Dragon Quest Endings

Recommended Posts

I- VIII the hero goes to a casino. The North American government being stupid and weird thinks that this would influence kids and teens to gamble and thus ban the game from american selves. Americans have to pay $30 to buy an European version of the game, another $30 for a European console to play the game on, $25 to import the game to america, and then $15 to get the European to American power outlet converters. Thus not wanting to spend $100 on each game, no one in america ever plays Dragon Quest, and society crumbles.

As the hero of Alegard approaches the throne of Dragonlord, Princess Gwaelin steps out from the shadows and stabs the hero, revealing herself to be Dragonlord's secret lover.  As the hero slowly bleeds out, she whispers to him, "Art thou dying? ...But thou must!"

IV

the twins Maya and Melina get tired of people getting them mixed up. So one dies her hair blue and goes East. The other dies her hair red and goes West. .... I haven't beaten four yet so I don't know how this effects the rest of the game or the ending. But I think it would be bad if the two girls don't join the party later in the game.

DQV

The night after the hero of 5 marries his bride, they consummate the marriage, in hopes that they would eventually obtain an heir. Unfortunately, the Heavenly Bride never told Madason that she was infertile....so the legendary hero and his sister are never born, and Grandmaster Nimzo goes unopposed...

I. Princess Gwaelin, abandoned by the hero, submits with a broken heart to the rule of the Dragonlord when the latter arrives with news that the hero had accepted his offer of half the world. She accepts his terms to marriage and bears him children.

II. Hargon -- backed by the fearsome powers of his successfully summoned master Malroth -- defeats the party and gruesomely brainwashes and transforms them into his new generals: Atlas, Pazuzu, and Belial.

III.
  A. Baramos defeats the hero and resurrects him and Ortega to be his zombie soldiers, who lead his army to raze the world to ash and splinters, starting with the town of Aliahan.
  B. Zoma captures the hero and party but keeps them alive in order to publicly torture them and stimulate fear and despair in the populace. When they inevitably die from the stress, Zoma zombifies them to continue the process.
  C. The hero wishes for a copy of Guns n' Buns but leaves it lying around the house while earning another wish from Xenlon. His mother finds it and reads it, and the Hero inevitably wishes for Ortega to return to an empty home.
  D. The Grand Dragon falls asleep.

I'll think of more later.

That must be related to Dragon Quest 1 and what awaited the princess when the Dragon Lord came a knockin.

Damn it. Since it hasn't released yet, this one might yet be true!

V.
  A.
    1. Madason and Bianca are eaten by ghosts.
    2. Pankraz doesn't just sit there and take it, but Ladja preemptively burns Madason to ashes before Pankraz can reach him.
  B.
    1. Madason fails to choose a bride from any of the girls which deeply insults them. Mr. Briscoletti, also insulted, takes this indecision as a sign of Madason's true unworthiness and has him escorted out of the town.
    2.
      a. Nera, unused to the strains of travel and combat and poorly cared for besides, suffers complications during pregnancy and dies in the Mt. Batten Pass.
      b. Debora forces herself to fight her kidnappers after her pregnancy and dies from the strain and exhaustion.
      c. Bianca is turned to stone immediately after her rescue from Knightmare Towers and her statue is beheaded in front of Madason. Two headless statues are delivered to Gotha.
  C.
    1. The party doesn't reach Bjørn the Behemoose in time, but Crispin does. The results drive Nera to despair, and the attempt to comfort her divides the party in various ways, preventing a united front from meeting Bjørn, who tramples the remainder of the Briscoletti family and its friends six feet underfoot before wandering off to pound the world flat.
    2. The statue of the bride is shattered before she can be rescued from Crocodilopolis, traumatizing the children. The hero is killed, but not before his children are abducted for purposes unknown.
    3. Nimzo destroys the party but then generates illusions of them which are returned to the upper world with news of success. The world is successfully calmed, allowing Nimzo to send more illusions to infiltrate key positions of power.
  D.
    1. The party loses everything at the Stark Raving Mad T'n'T board.
