Request Scrolls Guide

Recommended Posts

In the course of your adventuring monsters will drop request scrolls. They vary on how hard they are not entirely dependent upon the monster that dropped the scroll.

The number of stars tells you where in the monster book the target monster is. 1) tells you what the name of the monster is and 2) tells you what your reward is for killing it.

You can see what star amount refers to what number in the monster book...

You can share request scrolls by being in a party and using the request scroll picking the 1st option twice. The first asks if you want to use the request scroll and the second asks if you want to share with the party.

Unlike gate quests these don't have to be defeated in a particular map. You can kill them anywhere you find them including in the labyrinth.

Things to keep in mind:

  • You may only have 5 active request scrolls at a time
  • You can have 8 (i think) in total. (Until you turn them into the guy in Rendoa they don't leave your log)

Speaking of the man in Rendoa port town... It is the 2nd to last option in beginner's train listing. He's in Rendoa South here:

Just pick option 1 until you get the rewards. I have no idea what the other options do quite honestly.

How I look up what I need to kill....

I use that to type in what I am told the target is. Toward the bottom there's a katakana keyboard. I cut the name and paste it into here:

Talking to the guy, the 2nd option lets you sell an unused request scroll to him for 100 gold.  This is more than you'd get selling it to an NPC store and can be handy if you don't feel like doing it.
