Bottleneck Gallery: Chogrin's 8 Bit & Beyond 2

Recommended Posts

Williamsburg, Brooklyn has an upcoming video game themed art exhibit, called Chogrin's 8 Bit and Beyond 2 at the Bottleneck Gallery.  If they allow taking pictures, I'll post some.  Otherwise, here is the content from the email I just received, along with some preview pics:

Hi guys,

This Friday, August 8th, we will be opening our next group exhibition, 8 Bit & Beyond 2, curated by Chogrin.

We have invited over 70 artists from around the world to pay tribute to some of the most important games of our generation and we honestly couldn't be more proud of the submissions for the show.

The opening reception will take place from 7pm-9pm eastern. As always, admission and drinks are free.

If you are interested in purchasing a piece from the exhibition, you will have a few opportunities. Besides being able to pick something up at the show, we will be holding a Bottleneck subscriber preview, on Thursday, August 7th, from 8pm-9pm eastern. And if you can't make the show or the preview, all remaining work will go on sale Saturday, August 9th, at 12pm eastern.

There are also a few other things going on around the event.

Right after the opening reception on Friday, we will be hosting our first Tapehead screening at Videology bar on 308 Bedford Ave in Brooklyn for the Fred Savage film, "The Wizard".

The screening is free however seating is limited on a first come basis.

We will be selling not only the Kyle Crawford event poster above but we will also be taking reserves at the gallery for the Electric Fang, "Lucas Barton" figure if interested. Any left over will go on sale Saturday.

The 18 x 24 screen print (edition of 50) will cost $40 and the figure $60 (edition of 20). As you can tell, "The Wizard" is a film that means a lot to us :-).

Please follow us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram for more information on all of our releases.

Hope to see you at both events and thank you for all of the support!

Joe, Arseny and Josh.

Nice pics. Good luck.

Why is the Barton figure for 18 years and older?

Probably because they're the only ones who will know who Lucas Barton is.
