Links to Japanese Resources (Use Chrome to translate the text if you don't understand Japanese. Be warned the translation is questionable at best. Also, I make no claims to lack of viruses on these sites. I've been to all of them and have not gotten one, but yeah. They're not internal links so be warned) :

The dictionary for Dragon Quest X. I'd recommend getting this as it will add Dragon Quest X specific terms to your dictionary for ease of access while in game and speaking to others.

http://hiroba.dqx.jp/sc/public/windic_1

Interactive Map for Dragon Quest X!

http://dq10.i-k-e.ne...e.net/map/全体MAP

Want to figure out how the configuration menu works or the basic gameplay? The Hiromashi site has detailed guides on it all. This link is for the windows configuration menu. Look through all the sections. It will likely have what you need!
http://hiroba.dqx.jp/sc/public/playguide/guide_4_1_win

This site is good, but it has outdated data. It also does not have data for all the quests. Same with crafting on the site. They do have guides for the 1.0 story and 2.0. However, those aren't too updated either.

http://dq10.org/

This is my goto site for most look ups. This is USUALLY updated, but some of the quest walkthroughs are a bit lacking. This gets updated quite frequently. They also have message boards, which I have used to get some good ideas.
http://xn--10-yg4a1a3kyh.jp/

This site is an extension of the last. It's their wiki, so it doesn't get updated near as often for some rea Gamson. It does provide some useful things though.
http://wiki.kyokugen.info/dq10/index.php?%A5%C9%A5%E9%A5%AF%A5%A810%B9%B6%CE%ACWiki

This site Ayumira )KRW) likes a lot. It has some really good maps and resources. It also has gathering maps to make some good money. I mainly use them when new content gets put out if I want to do it within a hour of the update. Also, I use them for their spell of gifts list.
http://dragon-quest.jp/ten/

The above mentioned list. I use this one primarily in junction with the next one. If you want details on how to claim these codes see the Gameplay section for Takarina's guide.
http://dragon-quest.jp/ten/other/jumon.php

This is anotehr spell of gift list. It's on a pretty popular Japanese blogger website. I generally like poking around there just to see what the JP people are talking about. It's pretty neat too if you like dress up. *Dreamy eyes at Elsa-san's outfits*
http://www.dq10yuka.com/archives/28068215.html

This site is what I use to look up monsters for any reason. The most common lately has been for request scrolls. What I do there is use the katakana/hiragaana keyboard and type in the name from the game since copy/paste doesn't work too well.
http://www.d-quest-10.com/list/f_e_005/exp_1.html

The above mentioned hiragana keyboard.

The above mentioned katakana keyboard.
http://www.lexilogos.com/keyboard/katakana.htm

Skill point simulator. How great it is? Idunno, but Polantis likes it. I've never used it. The 2nd site listed here also has a skill point simulator if you want to try it out. Again, I've never done it.
http://cpro.jp/dq10/skillsimulator/

That wiki's fishing list is posted here. When I was REALLY into fishing I went here to find things. It's a bit hard since if you don't know Japanese you have to flip between translation and original text, but hey it works!
http://wiki.kyokugen.info/dq10/index.php?%B5%FB%C0%B8%C2%A9%C3%CF

This is a java app developed by Square-Enix. They had a campaign where if you got to the main continent here you could get some lottery tickets, and a gold casino ticket. I was a sucker and tried it. None of it can be translated within the app to English, but hey! they have a slime tetris game where you drop slimes on each other to make a king slime and throw it in a well. It all was amusing at first. You do need to set up a Yahoo! Japan account to play it, I think. I honestly don't remember anymore.

Its important to log off properly when you are done playing.  People won't be able to hire your NPC if you log off incorrectly.  You also leave a "ghost" behind in the party if you don't log off correctly.

To correctly log off:

Open your main menu and choose the bottom right option.

Next choose the bottom left option.  Confirm your choice.

Choose the bottom option, which should be selected by default, on the next window.

Confirm and your character will crouch as if praying.  The game will log off within a few seconds.

This is the easiest way to log out.

Alternatively, you can also visit a church to log off if you wish.

Select the first option from the priest.  First he'll ask you if you want to set this location as your respawn point if you die.  Choose yes or no accordingly.

Next he'll ask if you want to log off.  Choose yes or no accordingly.

It's also possible to log off from the pub.

Talk to the bar lady and choose the 2nd option.

This gives you the text box screen.  The bottom option will log you off.

OK! I added external sites. Weird thing when I posted it though. It kept hiding the content of my post when using the normal editor. I had to post int eh full editor to post without it losing the content. Dear admins this is my bug report cause I am a programmer now, and feel obligated to tell you. However, I am too danged lazy before work to actually find said bug reporting system.

Also, I did this when I woke up a hour early for work, and didn't want to go in TOO early. I'm not a morning person at all. Let me know if things aren't up to snuff. The links don't have witty comments (at least what I consider witty). Apologies, but when linking to Japanese sites I just don't feel right possibly adding to the confusion, and apprehension that might already exist.

The Hiroba site updated today, adding 2 useful new features:

You can now view your Quest List and Stamp Cards from the site.

I'm sure the quest list will be useful for people who are trying to work on quests that they can't find guides for/are stuck on, since they'll be able to copy/paste the quest description into a translator, and I've seen people a bit confused about the in-game stamp cards with regards to version 3, so this might help them, too.

I'm working on a Spell List for Dragon Quest X. It's in it's VERY early stages at the moment, but I will continue to update it as I learn more spells. I useful feature here is that it also contains translated spell names that will be used in the translation patch when it is released (these are not up for debate among members who are not part of the translation team, however, I imagine Tim will be willing to take suggestions for spells that A) we have not already translated, and B) do not exist in other Dragon Quest games that have received official translations).

Could you create a thread instead of a doc? That way so long as the forums exist I can link to it. Docs can go poof threads aren't as likely to do so.

Once it reaches a more complete stage, I might see if Woodus would host it on the Den. But the information is organized in a way that work best in a spreadsheet or database, a thread post probably wouldn't work well.

Cran has a "DQX Tutorial" series on her YouTube page that I think would be useful to add to this.

@Cran:  Before we have Ashes add it to the main page, do you want just the main link posted, or do you have a playlist or something you'd prefer?
