You can change servers by logging out and logging in to a different server (sometimes it forces you to join the same server, I'm not exactly sure what causes it) our you can pick a different server when you return to the main game from the casino or player neighborhood servers.

Taming monsters requires you to be in the monster scout class, and that you have a book for the monster you wish to scout. I don't know the exact mechanics, Cranberry helped me scout Buddy, my Moomon/Teeny Sanguini.

Your fame level is the second level listed in your stats menu. When there are zero points to next level (listed below fame level), sleep at an inn (not a player house). You will fame-level up then.

Yes, there is a daily quest, the gate quest. It can done from the NPC standing near exit of each town. They give exp and gold.

After you become level 20 you can unlock the magic dungeon 魔法ã®è¿·å®® from the Rendoa town レンドア. You can enter the dungeon, and gain tickets as reward once each day. You can enter the dungeon

many times, but the ticket reward is once per day, the tickets' used for lottery at the concierge.

You can also use coins at the dungeon, such as metal slime coins, which would give decent exp. Or other bosses coins.

There is a ride, the dollar board ドルボード which can be get from a quest in gatara the dwarf town, ガタラ.

Dharma Temple? I assume you mean the temple for skill quests, which is from Version 2. You need to finish the first main story first, and finish first chapter of Version 2 before you can do anything there.

Yes, you can go to major towns using the train in the station. You however need to finish the emblem story quest for each capital before you can go to each capital with the train.

You can also register your ルーラ stone at the church for easy teleport later.

Ok so I can't believe I'm having a problem with this quest, but I can't figure out why the game won't let me complete the Concierge quest (quest 032).  I was able to accept the quest just fine, and I can see it in my log. I know exactly which enemy I need to defeat and where they are, but the quest item never drops no matter what (I've killed tons of the sword enemy).  Whenever I go to my quest menu and press Y on it, a message pops up that seems to say that I can't do the quest now (I can't read the full message though), and thus whenever I encounter the quest enemy, I don't even see like the quest target over them.  Also note that my character is level 33 now.. could it be related to me being overlevel, because I know this quest is supposed to open at level 15.. but still, that doesn't make sense to me.

Edit: I figured it out.  Apparently from Version 3.2 and onwards, they made it so that she slimes スライムベス now drop  the アストルニウム  (key quest item you need), not those flying swords.

You can buy dollar board gas from item shop. Most item shops at village or town should have them. ドルセリン is what they are called, at 500g each.

You can get ルーラ stones by... many ways. You can get 1 from quest at level 24 from Rendoa レンドア. You can also get 1 from talking to your first yellow named npc. Though I assume you already got that since you  already have 2.

You can get another one from exchanging mini medals at Rakkaran ラッカラン. From the train station at Rakkaran, leave and head upstairs. You need to do a quest before you can exchange medals.

http://xn--10-yg4a1a3kyh.jp/dq10_quest_x01.html

Another one can be obtained from casino from exchanging chips.

There are more, like from stamps that you can only get from 2.1, or being subscribed for 360 days, 720 days, 1080 days....

And others from story, fishing coins exchange, battle road coins...

Also, just a sidenote... but does the team chat does not appear at your game? Or you don't know how to chat or reply to it? Or do you....

Anyway, if you are playing on PC, you can press Ctrl+Left or Right arrow button to switch chat input between normal, whisper, and team chat. Saw you online but wasn't able to get a reply last night.

Lottery ticket can be gotten by doing the magic dungeon daily. You get some each day from the magic dungeon. You can use it by the concierge npc at the inn.

Metal slime coin can be obtained from lottery at glen グレン the ogre town. Or purchased from the bazaar from at least around 4000g each.

Metal king... is quite rare. They are not purchasable nor sell-able at the bazaar. It can be obtained from special lottery, which tickets are... harder to obtain. You can obtain some if you use special boss coins at the magic dungeon.

The best way for leveling? It depends on whether or not you want to use money, but the general idea is just grind monsters. A nice monster for grinding at version 1 is タコメット, which is located at ã‚ãƒ¥ãƒ©ãƒŠãƒŠ, which is at the weddie continent, from the julette ジュレット town.

If you want to spend money, buy metal slime coins then use them at the statue or fountain at the first area when you enter the magic dungeon. You can use up to 4 coins each run. At higher level you can use hagu meta coin, ãƒã‚°ãƒ¡ã‚¿, similar to metal slime, albeit more expensive, goes around 20,000g~ each. But gives way more exp each. Can also be obtained from the lottery from glen.

I've got another newbie-ish question about having the emblems from the story and traveling~

Does getting the second emblem supposed to unlock access to 2nd village of a continent via train, or some kind of unwrite-able ruura stone for a town in that continent?

I'm asking this question because in a lot of Cranberry's tutorial videos she mentions that getting to certain towns seems to be easier if you have said emblem.

If so, what do I need to do specifically to get whichever thingy it does?

Yes, if you have the second key emblem from a continent, you'll be able to use the train to get there from then on.

Concierge, they are at every inn in town. They are a separate NPC from the inn keeper. Usually have æ¡ˆå†…ä¿‚ before their name.

Get lottery? That's basically all the way to it... by dailies. Do the magic dungeon daily, the gate daily quest..... there are also some other ways to get them, but not-repeatable, like some quest that reward them once.

I think some boss coins might also reward them when used on the magic dungeon, though you would need to get the coin or buy them, which normally aren't cheap nor easy to get.

Events sometimes, when there are any events that reward them....

Edit:

Not related but...

I don't know why, but my fonts in my post sometimes get weird....

Double Edit:

Oh I can remove all font edits to return it to normal... silly me!

I've got a question about logging out.  Up until... a few days ago I've only been logging out via talking to the priest (the most traditional Dragon Quest way in my mind)  I recently started logging out via ã•ãã›ã‚“ー>Bottom left option twice... and, well one time I logged in after doing that and there was some kind of message about support?.  I'm just wondering.. are we not supposed to be logging out from that area?  Is it more of an emergency log out or an "I'm stuck" kind of thing?  Is it considered "less safe" for character data being stored on the server, or anything like that logging out that way?

And also, is there a "proper" way to log out at the bar (I.E can you log out from talking to a specific NPC), or do you just use the same options?  I think in older versions that was how it was possible for people to hire you when you were offline, but I can tell that doesn't seem to matter as much where I log out these days (besides maybe logging out at a church, doesn't let you get hired?  can someone confirm that?)

And I've got a second question about Dragon Quest 10: Odekake moshasu de battle (The card game).  Has anyone here like... tried playing it?  I downloaded it on 3DS just because it was free, but I haven't actually tried playing it just yet.  I'm sure it'll be pretty confusing, but does it link to your main DQ10 account or something?  Has anyone posted any threads or information about the game here, because I couldn't find anything.

The only time I use the priest to log out is in offline mode. For online I always use the ã•ãã›ã‚“ command and use 冒険を中断ã™ã‚‹ and登録ã—ã¦çµ‚了ã™ã‚‹ if I wanted someone to hire while I'm offline.

In the older versions you had to talk to the NPC at the bar there and log out there, But that changed in 1.4.(can log out anywhere and have someone hire your while offline)

I don't think the Odekake moshasu(ãŠã§ã‹ã‘モシャスdeãƒãƒˆãƒ«) has been updated lately? I played it few years ago when it was not free. You can link to your main DQX account had have tickets sent.
