Have any of you guys ever been in a play?

Recommended Posts

Title tells it.

I only been to one, and it is probably going to be my last one in my school years.

I was in Fiddler on the Roof, and I was in the orchestra pit playing the viola. Now there was that violinist girl who actually got the role of the fiddler, and she got to play her violin AND DANCE on the stage! Now I wanna switch back to violin! >.<

Lots of Christmas plays, both at the parish I went to in my hometown and at my current work.

Some musicals (my favorite genre) and non-musicals, too.

Nothing that counts as an actual play. The closest was being in choir.

Did acting in high-school. Got to play Trotsky in a short called "Variations On The Death Of Trotsky". Got to be very creative with coming up with different ways to die. Heh, I stunned everyone during the first rehearsal when I simply smacked headfirst into the desk with a good thunk. Play's in the vid below (edit: not me, different presentation):

Also played the lead in "An Actor's Nightmare", which I think is a standard play to do for most high-school students. A couple years after that I performed in an improv show, which was fun.

I was Dromio of Syracuse in my fifth-grade class' rendition of Shakespeare's "A Comedy of Errors". Despite being shortened slightly and the removal of the word "hell" (Antipholus of Ephasus: "Am I on earth, in heaven, or in hell? Sleeping or walking?...) it was pretty close to the real thing, which says something about an elementary school play.

I've been in a couple of musicals... In Honk! (essentially the ugly duckling) I was Bewick, a swan, and in Bugsy Malone I was Doodle.

I was chosen to be the butt-part of a horse for one play, in high-school.

I left class and never went back to it that day. Switched classes.

Not exactly a play, but rather a... musical, I guess?

It was some years ago, when I was still a kid. I participated on a musical which I don't even know the name, but I could tell, it was Country-themed. I don't like Country songs, so you can pretty much tell how I felt participating in the musical. (-_-)

The clothes the male dancers got to wear, which I got to be one, where pretty cool, though.
