This is it! It was bound to happen!

No who cares option? :P

They're both probably gonna screw us, except Obama is a lot less likely to than Romney.

That's a good idea. I'd ban Fun. and Train. Nobody will have to suffer again.

All of the chest beating aside, we're still going to face the same, if not worse, gridlock and posturing resulting in an even more wasteful and inefficient govenrment.

Hm, that was a very Swanson thing to say, wasn't it?

I voted for neither when i entered the polls today. I know it essentially is considered throwing your vote away, but I did not like either of them.

Does not matter anyway, Obama already won, though Romney won the popular vote.

Obama just started getting ahead in the popular vote(at least on the Google election page).

Voted for a 3rd party candidate, but was hoping Romney would win. I'm not a fan of socialism.

So the election's over now? Or we're you just making a knowledgeable prediction?

It's over, Romney cannot win at this point, just get a little closer at best.

Sucks the congressional gridlock is still in effect. Four more years of nothing happening despite the best intentions.

You bet come tax return time I'll be making a big donation to the NRA.

Edit: Scratch that: GOA, since they're no compromise.

Reminds me of the NH primary- I knew Mitt had it, so I wrote in Hank Williams, Jr.

Nope, look at the polls again. Votes are still being counted, I hope you know that.

My wife voted straight Republican as always. I voted against incumbents as usual.

It's already done, Obama won.

Which is good for me, because Romney wanted to cut out Pell Grants and Stafford Loans.

In the months that led up to his nomination, Mr. Romney commended Rep. Paul Ryan’s controversial budget plan, which Democrats have criticized for its proposals on the Pell Grant program. In April the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, a nonpartisan think tank, published a comparative analysis of how the Ryan and Obama budgets would affect the shortfall in Pell Grant funds, concluding that:

The Ryan budget would both cut Pell benefits and eligibility and freeze the maximum grant at $5,550 per student per year, apparently on a permanent basis. … It would repeal the entire $101 billion in existing mandatory funding for Pell over the next ten years—both the permanent, open-ended funding and the temporary pools of fixed funding.

Awe the Pell Grant.

I wouldn't have been able to go to college without it.

People having to pay for their own education? *GASP* The horror. Trying to fix a government that is literally hemorrhaging money is also a terrible idea. This is the same government, of course, that has had a bill introduced thrice to get rid of the penny and failed to bother each time.

Look at it like a PC. You could go out and buy new hardware, or you can take a look under the hood, nix a ton of background processes nobody needs, and it's practically like new. The ways this government wastes money is disgusting and depressing. I'd feel better about "paying my fair share" if we had an efficient government and a balanced budget. But we don't. And we won't.

If the republicans don't want to lose Congress in 2014 they'll have to consider going for more centered policies. Also Obama doesn't have to worry about being reelected again. So I think you can be hopeful more things will happen, good or bad.
