Wreck-It-Ralph

Recommended Posts

My family went to see this yesterday, and we all enjoyed it. I think my wife and I were the only ones laughing at the Konami Code part :)

Seen the preview for it not too long ago.

Can't afford to go see it though.

Which is unfortunate, it looks like the short lived UPN show Game Over if it were done right.

I've never been in a movie theater, though I should get around to it someday. I usually rent or buy when I want to watch a movie. This movie seems to be good enough for a buy whenever the blueray comes out.

You had to spoil me a part of the movie, didn't you? Oh well.

I'll still watch it.

It's something that I'd like to see eventually but I don't want to see it in theatres.

The last time I went to a theatre was for the South Park movie.

I think this movie has a few credentials going in already.

1. It's not a direct adaptation of a series, so there's freedom in the writing

2. Someone seems to actually be doing research on the games included for references

3. Disney already succeeded with this premise with "Roger Rabbit," which is one of my favorite movies.

It opens on Boxing Day in Aus, and that's the same day Les Mis opens.

Decisions, decisions - either way it'll be awesome; I plan on seeing both in the cinema, just not necessarily on the same day ^_^

*pout* Other half wants to win "awesome points" by taking my sis's youngsters to see Wreck-It Ralph while she watches Les Mis

We watched MovieBob's review, and it does sound enjoyable.

We just went to the live production of Les Mis last month and plan on seeing the theatrical release as well when it comes out here.

Barely worth the money for Wreck-It Ralph. If you haven't seen it yet, wait until it's in your local dollar-theater. (Though ours really costs like $2.00 nowadays.) it's good, but Disney, well... Disney-fied things. Love the concept, but it could've been a whole lot better. And Fix-It Felix just sounds like a whiny little b***h.

I can't tell if their target audience was once-kids from the 80's/90's (or nerds like me who were born in the 90's but were too young to remember it) or today's little-kids. It was really a little kids movie, but the only cameo in the whole movie that people that age would even come close to recognizing in Bowser, or the mention of Mario. Possibly Sonic, if they payed enough attention to even see him.

I know that earlier this thread I mentioned Les Mis and the "what to see..." dilemma that resulted, but it worked itself out.

Les Mis had a preview screening over the weekend (yes, totally worth seeing, though it's better on stage), so we saw Wreck-It Ralph

Pretty sure we weren't the only ones who got the konami code gag when we watched :D

Really enjoyed it ^_^
