Pokemans!

Someone wasn’t watching Pocahontas closely enough.
Very much so, although the copy I saw on my The YouTube was spelled differently. It was called "Poke A Hun's Tush."

It was more than likely a Hub of some kind.

That exciting?

I mean, to be fair, the Den gets pretty quiet when a big game comes out.

Fun story: my manager was hyped for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and drove to GameStop after work on Thursday because they were releasing it a few hours early, I’m guessing because they both launched at midnight and a Pokemon and Star Wars game coming out at the same time would be pure chaos.

I don’t think Pokémon Sword and Shield coming out has anything to do with the Den being quiet. I love this place, but it’s not necessarily the busiest place most days. 😜

I’m referring to this particular topic. I should’ve clarified on that. It’s been bustling pre-Sword and Shield but has gone quiet.

All the sexual innuendo killed the vibe? Well, let's restart Pokémon risqué!

I'm headed for the first gym. I might have to put my starter in the box because he'll be over leveled and won't obey by the time I get there. I got Shield if anybody needs exclusives.

I find it very odd that the combo pack of both versions is what's on the Amazon Treasure Truck today, and for full $120 price.

Yeah, seems like a rip-off to buy the combo pack for the full price of both games. Usually combo packs like that have some kind of dollar discount on them.

As far as I know too it’s not like the combo pack offers any sort of bonuses that make the price tag worth it. Usually combos like that give you something to make it a bit more worthwhile.

They come with two Dynamax Crystals, which still isn’t a good deal lol.

I buckled and bought Shield (because Galarian Ponyta is the #$*!) and Walmart sells them for $50, so if you buy that bundle it’s actually a worse value then getting them both at Walmart.

My price point for that series is $30. I'll grab it next year sometime.

Are Pokemon games ever on sale?

I buy used. Have for ages! DQ I get new and a couple 3DS Pokémon I got becuase they came out around Thanksgiving when we'd be stuck at my in-laws for 5-6 days and my brother-in-law and I would play the new games together, but for most everything else I wait half a year and get used or dirt cheap PSN titles.

Maybe eal bought Shield because he’s secretly a brony and wants to name that Ponyta after a character from Friendship is Magic...

I’d buy it (but highly doubt I actually will) for that price just because they gave Farfetch’d some much needed attention and an evolution. Not even interested in the game(s) and series much anymore.

Pokemon is the one franchise I just can’t quit. I started with the show and was able to leave that behind after they changed the voice actors, and also realizing that no actual plot progression will ever happen. Ash literally on the Pokemon League for the first time THIS YEAR. But the games have been impossible for me to shake. I’ve had harder times playing newer games, even remakes of older games, but I can easily pick up Pokemon Crystal or Sapphire and play them for dozens of hours.

So, Pokémon Sword is actually pretty damn good. After 7 hours (yeah, I was distracted by the Wild Area for a while) I finally took on the first Gym Leader. That was probably the most hype gym battle I've ever had. The atmosphere is amazing, and really works to get you pumped up.

I also really love the QoL updates the game has. The streamlining was a good idea on GF's part.

Started Shield a couple hours ago. One thing I didn’t like about Y was how you couldn’t enter a town or walk around a route without your rival or some other random person halting your progress. I’m hoping that this is just early stuff and I won’t see much of Hop soon.

I’m nicknaming everything I catch, because what better way to remember Pokemon names like giving them new names lol.

I see a bunch of people doing that with nicknames. I wonder how many people use nicknames. I can't ever recall renaming a single Pokémon ever. Haha. They're all just nameless tool, like my demons in Strange Journey.

I never nickname Pokemon either but I’m feeling pretty casual with this playthrough so I thought I’d experiment because people say they’re closer with their Pokemon when they’ve given them nicknames.
