Been doing random exploring and levelling during the week managed to get Thief to 27 and Priest to 21 with about 24 mini medals (so close to a hirameki!). I also figured out how to change your default pose, it's tied to the title you're using and only a few of them actually change it. Lucky Guy/Gal does so I've been using that one and the rest appear to be only for titles when you reach lv50.

After I reach lv28 I am going to attempt to do the Magic Knight quest and since Marine Slimes don't resist Wind I should be able to deal about 30 damage per Propeller Blade.

Absolutely loving the game and really hoping we hear something about a localization at E3.

I really cant wait till E3, we will know for sure if we will get DQX US/EU or not.

I wouldn't pin our hopes on E3.  Is Square Enix even going?  I know Nintendo has mentioned they might not attend or have a big presence.

Myself, I'm sitting here with my debit card in hand, agonizing about going down and buying a Wii U today, for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.  I have the 3DS but am getting close to the point where I need to consider going online to continue with the game, and the 3DS version only has local, no online.

If I knew DQX was being localized this would be a complete no brainer, I'd already be back from the store buying one.

E3 is the only hope left, if they arnt gonna announce DQ10 for us by then, then they wont announce it ever for god knows how long if ever. That new president is clamping down hard on developers of all divisions particularly those working on FF13 series and FFXIV, FFXIV got held back another month behind schedule due to having developers and localization staff removed to work on projects that will make immediate money.

Tbh the only way they will release DQX to us, is if they had us play on the Japanese servers, just like with FFXI/FFXIV, but pay a lower subscription fee. That way they can make money, and not spend as much for maintenance and staff.

Thing is a vast majority of mmo gamers, pretty much new gen, gets skeptical about paying a subscription fee, pointing at whatever random AAA title is F2P, saying "Subscription is bad! Im not paying 9.99 a month for it yo crazy! Thats one pack less of beer per month to help me along to heart cancer!" not realizing the reasons and critical quality advantages P2P has. SE knows this, so if they gonna release it to us and still make money, they gotta have us share servers with Japan and possibly charge us something around 6.99 a month or less. SE will never go F2P on any of their onliners. FFXI and the constant comments by Yoshi-P on FFXIV is clear on that. The vast majority of players on both games agree with P2P.

But yea SE is definitely gonna be there, they have to, specifically for FFXIV and Bravely Default. They lost tons of money due to several failures, they gotta show something.

Wait a minute. Does beer cause brain cancer?

If your lucky it would, heart cancer is a sucky way to go.

Over the weekend I've been doing quite a bit of leveling to finally make my Thief really worth it to other players to hire as an AI. Along the way I've unlocked Magic Knight, Sage and Battle Master and took some pictures of my victory over the quests:

Magic Knight

- This one was very simple. Defeat 10 Marine Slimes while you have the Magic Barrier buff on you. Bring a Magic Knight or Minstrel with you and they'll cast that small attack up buff on you to make it much easier to take them down.

60371538_zpsfb006d91.jpg

After this I leveled from 29 to 35.

Sage

- This one was even more simple than Magic Knight. Defeat 20 Metro Ghosts which appear in a dungeon near Jullet. I could 2 shot them with Tiger Claw so it went by really quickly.

60938491_zpsc1e040dd.jpg

And then came the Battle Master (Gladiator) quest... which was beyond irritating despite how quickly I finished it.

Battle Master

- Easy but irritating is the way I would describe this one. You need to defeat 5 Dead Peckers with the using the "Attack" command while unarmed and equipped with the special training armlets that were given to you when you accepted the quest. So obviously the best way was to get them near death and then switch out your equipment... and miss about 30 times before you actually land a hit because the armlet makes you inaccurate.

I was happy to be finished with this quest. :)

I was also randomly invited into a Team while running around town. I declined but it is funny to know that MMO players in Japan are basically the same as MMO players in the US. No matter what the MMO I always seem to get those random invites for no reason.

EDIT: Guess no one is updating with their adventure status so I'll just edit this post.

Seems like a regular ordinary door but we all know what I'm about to do...

62728163_zps85bebf2e.jpg

Yeah~~! Got my human form back! It was kind of weird seeing the Ogre form of my character with the hair color change I did... even though she y'know, technically had purple hair when I initially created her. And even with wearing a costume over your clothes the revival cutscene still has your character in their underwear but you'll be wearing the costume when you regain control...

Go figure. ;)

Damn kry703, you've been busy!

@ Alexandrious- yeah Gladiator is still on my to do list. I want to get some points into unarmed first because as krw stated you will miss A LOT.

Nah, that isn't really even close to how much I've done since. Lv51 on Martial Artist, Lv40 on Paladin were the major things so far. Also working on Warrior (currently 34) for another HP passive, saving up money to buy a plot of land for a house and hopefully saving up enough to buy an awesome pair of lv60 claws before I end up reaching lv60.

I wouldn't worry about putting points into Fisticuffs for the Gladiator quest. As long as you have a few strength passives and bring a Magic Knight with you for an attack buff it will be just fine (put them on the "Leave it to me" AI setting so they'll support but not attack the enemy). I also did that around lv35 on Thief and was dealing around 35 damage per punch so I doubt you'd have any difficulty on your Warrior.

Last one on the list. If you're in battle it's the only option on the 2nd page.

edit: Finally bought myself a plot of land for a house! Since the added districts still have free spots open in every location I decided to pick one up in Toon Town. Cost 75000 gold since the price hasn't fully fallen to 20000 but I'd rather get a spot in a location I like than miss out.

Did the second Puklipo key emblem (boring, so boring...), second Weddie key emblem (pretty awesome) last weekend and leveled my Martial Artist from 52 to 55 (did the lv cap increase quest too). I'll be cutting back on playing during weekdays for a bit since I have a nice long vacation coming up and will definitely be playing the game like crazy during it.

btw Saigan. I know your subscription has run out but you can still accept friend requests through http://hiroba.dqx.jp when you login there. And for anyone else I've sent my info to... the person you're sending the request to doesn't need to be online! Just send it and they'll see it the next time they login or check the hiroba website.

With the Hiroba diary feature, I don't need this place to record my gameplay anymore!

Well, the hair change and the rental outfits are newer additions to the game, so I guess they did not plan for them in those scenes. But, you will never know what it is like to be shoved out into the cruel world with nothing on but your underwear. Why did that old man have to stare at me?! I made a fast dash back to the church that day, and never looked back.

The pain of knowing I'll never play this game :(

Oh come one Saro! Just get a Japanese Wii or Wii U (you can probably get the first for fairly cheap at a local Book Off)  and join us!

lol yeah I think it was down for 2 hours earlier wouldn't have mattered since the request expired. I sent it to you again though.

Right now I'm looking ahead to what to purchase after getting a pair of lv60 claws (450k for 62 attack... yikes). I took a look at that lv42 set that can be equipped on like 7 different classes and was absolutely shocked at the prices.

+32 MP hat = 20k. Same price as the lv14 hat I have with 32MP.

+12.0% no MP use gloves = 10k. Same price as the lv14 armbands I have.

Everything else was similar except for the upper body pieces which I'm aiming for 100% Instant death resist and a decent element resist (preferably Ice). Those are just under 100k.

An extra special THANK YOU to Mimas for helping me set up and configure the VPN.  Tonight, I went online for the very first time.  There isn't a whole lot to say yet.  I just went outside and slayed some slimes and eggplant creatures for a bit and reached level 4 before I had to call it a night.  But this is a big first step for me!  Having been offline only since I got the game in January, at long last, I get to venture out of my offline world and see what online has to offer!  I'm not sure how far I can get in 20 days (after that I'll just have Kid's Time) but I'd love to take a crack at that scythe wielding madman I saw in the tutorial.

Been doing some Magic Knight leveling and in general absolutely loving the class a ton since I've been able to break away from the insanely popular Goruba/Garuba spot.

68563233_zps687f0279.jpg

Been training on these guys on the western beach of Radis Island and went from lv28 to 35 today. Didn't see a single other player using this spot which is incredibly refreshing for training during the weekend. The spot itself is absolutely great for training Minstrel/Magic Knight since attack buffs easily offset their higher defense and these guys waste half of their turns buffing themselves with elemental forces that do nothing since none of the player races are weak to any element.

Also changed the hairstyle on my Ogre. Looks much better now. :)

Mimas joined up with me and I had my first party game.  She escorted me through the early story mode stages and I had my first online boss battle.  Mimas and her friend took a supporting role and let me be the one to fight the boss.  With my companions kindly keeping my MP up, I was able to topple the beast with my Crack spell.  With the boss defeated, I now had the ability to zoom.

Next we went to a major town and took a train ride!  I recognized the train music from Dragon Quest 9, the Starlight Express theme!  This train however couldn't fly, but it was fast and got us to the next town in a flash.  Mimas then took me out in the field and had us clean up the countryside of monsters for a while.  Admittedly Mimas did all of the work.  I slashed them a few times with my fan, but Mimas easily took them down with her club, and did a lot more damage than I was able to muster.

I'm already impressed with what I've seen.  A lot of monsters that we are engaging I have not seen before.  A few creatures I recognized from the offline mode, but many were new.  This certainly is a much larger world than the little piece of the world I've been confined to in offline mode.  My offline mode questing has not been for naught though.  It taught me how to use the battle system so I had no trouble issuing battle commands online, and I can navigate most of the basic menus by myself.  And, my online character has a silly flower hat that I received from that offline sibling.  Though that silly hat is not an amazing defensive piece, it's serving me well for the moment here in the early game.

I wonder if I will have a chance to return to my home village.  After the dramatic events of the tutorial, I definitely want to return to it and see what is happening in the aftermath of the tutorial's drama.

I was on for quite a while this morning.  In an effort to be more useful the next time I join up with someone, I spent a lot of time grinding today.  I've reached level 14 now, and I also upgraded my equipment.  I have a full suit of Scale Armor now, and a stronger fan than I had last time.  Slowly but surely I'm carving out a place in this online world and gradually starting to hold my own against more and more creatures.  The next time Mimas joins up with me, I think she'll be pleasantly surprised that I'm more capable than I was before.

Don't sweat it. I mean it literally takes 100s of hours to get all of the important passive boosts. I've got about half of them done with nearly 230 hours clocked on my character.

I feel poor again after buying the lv60 claws I wanted but gotta spend money on awesome equips sometime. They're like an extra 18 attack over my current pair so definitely worth it.
