Well, after jumping the gun here and being informed that what I posted wouldn't fit in here until a later time, I thought I should try starting a Mimas inferred that it might be a good idea to start a

Thanks! Though I hope you didn't feel like I was beating up on you about it. Since you mentioned not knowing where it belonged I was trying to be helpful. I've kind of wanted a thread like this for a

Yeah that encyclopedia sounds nice. Finally some Dragon Quest 7 monster artwork.   Too bad it will become out of date so quickly with all these new games releasing soon.

Estimation. Them doing a beta test at launch is a good sign, I think. Not sure how long it will take. I could see maybe a March or April release, though of course it could be later. And I don't see Square or Nintendo releasing this any sooner than a year after the Wii U version comes out.

Though of course there is a chance they don't release it here at all. I'm just assuming they will.

Today's Wii U focused Nintendo Direct had some details regarding Dragon Quest X on the system. There will be a beta for the game that will come bundled with the premium edition of the Wii U console, the game can be played by two players locally one on the TV, one on the controller. You can also transfer your character from the Wii version to the Wii U. There seems to be an indication that the internal memory will negate the need for a USB key but I might have picked that up incorrectly.

Wow, I missed that news in the deluge of WiiU stuff yesterday, thanks Gloomy! That is really cool news about 2 player local play. Since the WiiU Premium version has 32 GB of storage, you likely wouldn't need the USB stick, so that would make sense at least.

Of all the WiiU news, the Monster Hunter 3 WiiU / 3DS cross play and cross saves was to me the craziest. I'm not the biggest Monster Hunter fan out there, but Dragon Quest X or XI or whatever taking that same approach would be so amazing.

Here is information on the October major update.

Other than the new new classes we also have a price for housing, which will start at 500,000G but will decrease multiple times each day down to 20,000G near the end of October. Level cap goes up to 55 but a quest is required to to remove the cap. There is also a quest that will allow you to remove all of the points you've allocated to a skill. But the quest costs money after the first time (10,000G). There will also be a quest to increase the amount of equipment you can hold to 50 (from 25) and letters will be taken out of the items list and given their own command. More information will follow as TGS progresses.

The Saturday and Sunday DQX stage at TGS will be live streaming.

There is also a long interview that discusses the past and future of the game, including statements that the casino and Colosseum won't be opening for a while still. First half. Second Half.

This doesn't really belong here, but here is a web based application to keep track of which black treasure chests you have left to open to get mini medals.

I have a few months of news that I should add in, but the next major version up is on the horizon and scans of Jump have slipped through the cracks showing that the next version will add Mahou-Senshi ("Armamentalist") and Super Star ("Luminary").

New footage of DQ10 ver 1.2, looks like it's from the WiiU version of the game a lot of shiny surfaces and a better framerate speak to that! The new classes look great, particularly the luminary, goofy stuff. They also mention that owners of the Wii version of DQ10 can buy the WiiU digital version for a cheaper price!

I have been avoiding seein anything DQX realated to avoid feeling bad I can't play it, but this video just now ruined eveything. If they brought the new version to the west I would be forced to buy an WiiU. Even if you consider that DQ is not so popular in the west, I think it would do pretty well, it would be the first of it's type on the console, it would help give it a push.

If we do get it here, it'll be the Wii U version. Hopefully there'll be a DQX bundle like FFXI PS2. ((( Game, HDD/ExternalHDD/ThumbDrive ))

I'd like to see it come with a month of playtime, too.

I would certainly buy the digital version of DQX if it meant better performance and loading times. I wouldn't think twice about getting a Wii U with that Monster Hunter bundle either.

Not really news but maybe same comfort while we wait for actual news.

This image was posted on NeoGAF several months ago, purporting to be a hidden page inside the WiiU communities. It has placeholder listings for games that had not been announced yet including a new Yoshi game, Metroid, Soul Hackers and DQX. Soul Hackers has since been announced and earlier this week a new Yoshi game was shown as well as announcements of Virtual Console games including Super Metroid.

In my heart of hearts I know it's coming. I just hate not knowing when.

Zombie was Zombii U, there's Wii Fit U coming out, Resident Evils is the Resident Evil game coming out, which was announced the other day, as well as Yoshi. Phantom Pain is probably Metal Gear Solid, so it will probably come out on the Wii U. So we can hope!
