Very old 6' 195# US citizen that really loves games and might retire in 7 years. I'm Aquarius and have no pictures of myself nor do I need any - I recognize myself when I see myself in the mirror. Remember kids age is a condition not a state of mind.

Age a condition? Like an ailment or illness?

Right. Age is an illness that so far as no known cure. And while it primarly affects the body it can affect the mind as well; but only if you relent.

Hmmm, I wonder if you started going to casinos because of DQ games. DQ got me gambling at an early age :).

:evillaugh:

The first video game I ever played was blackjack. At five years old.

In real life, I refuse to play video poker against the computer. It's supposed to be the best odds in a casino, but in my experience, it's a sure loser, right next to the slot machines.

If you're smokers, just think of all that money going to cigarettes. Two packs a day, seven days a week, fifty two weeks a year. I don't even know how much it is anymore. $5 easily. $10 a day. $70 a week. Over $3650 a year, and I think I'm on the low side of the estimates these days.

Think of all the other things that money can go towards.

One day I gotta go to a casino. I started playing cards with my grandfather at 8 years old :D.

very flawed. I'm a smoker but I only smoke one or two cigarettes a day which amounts to 60 cigarettes a month which is 3 packs. To add on to that I never buy cigarettes in Canada, I either get friends to bring them from Korea and/or Japan. If I was forced to pay for those cartons it would only be $20.00-$30.00/10 packs but most of the time it's free. Smoking can be very cheap if you are smart about it. I've been smoking all 2011 and I've only had 3 cartons from Korea and 1 carton from Japan. I currently have 5 packs left from Korea and 9 packs left from Japan which will last me into Q1 2012

Well I don't smoke cigarettes but I have a different daily habit that is somewhat expensive so I can relate. Could the money be going somewhere better? I suppose, but it's something I like.

I don't even know how much it is anymore.

Last time I hung around someone that smoked was 2003 and they were buying 2-3 cartons a week at $60 a pop. And if the price doesn't deter you, the throat cancer will, so please don't.

my addiction is actually Red Bull...usually 2 cans a day (the limit). You can buy 24 cans for $40.00 though from Costco which is hella cheap when compared to stores.

I used to smoke about 1 pack a day, at 5.60 (euro) a pack, which amounts to about $7,53.

7.5 * 7 = 52.5

52.5 * 52 = 2730 a year. It's still a lot, but not as much as you counted :)

Mehh, shouldn't have started it at age 14..

But hey for the good news!

Im down to about a pack a week :)

the one I keep hearing is people discussing how much money you'd have if you were to instead put that much money in a savings account.

Gotta be around $12 a pack in NYC or higher. Not a smoker so I wouldn't know.
