The Mystical One 245
What they *should* have done, was pick his name randomly from a list of preset possibilities. :)
Ruesen 39
Could have also just made his name, "Prince (of) Cannock" and that would be that. No need for a silly first name.
Tiael 231
Oh don't worry, there's Princess Princessa of Moonbrooke if we ever see her.
linnear 0
I've just got a Lucida Shard, two Denisium and a Celestial Skein hehe. When you are speaking to one of the special guests, do you have to be dressed like them to get certain items??
The Mystical One 245
Dressing like a special guest gives you an accolade. Otherwise, talking to them will get you pieces of gear in various situations: All guests: 1. Talk to them. 2. Talk to them on your birthday 3. Talk to them with a fully upgraded inn. Guests with 4 or more pieces of gear to give also have: 4. Talk to them as the appropriate class. Guests with 5 pieces of gear to give also have: 5. Talk to them after completing quest

Tiael 231
Is there anything exclusive to DQVC this week? Just wondering, this sale doesn't seem that good.
Dunamis 0
Is there anything exclusive to DQVC this week? Just wondering, this sale doesn't seem that good. Well, I did score a second Nightmare Gown (which I could make into another Celestria's Gown if I wanted, as well as it's upgraded version). I also got a pair of Depressing Shoes for only 888 Gold. I'm hoping that since the theme is "cursed items", there will be a Reckless Necklace for sale or two. Heh, then again, just after checking, I really don't need any more Reckless Necklaces. I've gotten all the Alchemy recipes done that require Lucky Pendants or things made using them (such as Monarchic Marks).
The Mystical One 245
A little bit later today the gamefaqs crew should know the full list of items and how to map method them to get what you want. Japanese players haven't pulled up the English list yet either; they usually beat the gamefaqs users to it. I got: Terrible Tattoo Hades Helm Assassin Dagger Malicite Depressing Shoes Black Knickers Only those first two are actually cursed and, but everything at least has a dark and/or gloomy appearance. And malicite curses things.

King Zenith 641
Grundies eh? Sounds pretty gross. EDIT: Thanks for that list though. Good to know.
Deathtamoor 3
I am totally psyched for this week's DQVC theme. I need a Skull Helm and about five more Reckless Necklaces. Some more Nightmare Gowns couldn't hurt, either! However, I have trouble getting the "DQVC Map Method" to work. For one thing, the websites all seem to be a few days behind, so they don't really give accurate information. Out of curiousity, did you get the Chest Timer to work for you? Tiael 231
Ugh, count me in for sharp shades that aren't on the list, as the 2 weeks it's been available I failed to obtain them.
Dunamis 0
Now this DQVC seems quite promising! All the DQVC items have to do with Dragons, so stuff like a Dragon Robe and Dragonlord Claws is all up for grabs! I already got a spare Dragon Robe just today. And the new Legacy Hero is...Debora, from DQ5. Apparently she's one of the characters that doesn't have a class-specific gear, because I tried talking to her with each class and got nothing. Also, it seems we only get 1 DLC quest this week...kinda odd, since we've been usually getting them in pairs.
The Mystical One 245
She's got Robe for talking to her, Hairpiece for talking to her on her birthday, and Highness Heels for talking to her with a fully upgraded inn. She's one of the three gear people.
Deathtamoor 3
I'm guessing no DQVC exlcusives this week?
King Zenith 641
Also, it seems we only get 1 DLC quest this week...kinda odd, since we've been usually getting them in pairs. Yeah, that was kind of unsettling. I hope they aren't going to skip it. The second one we should have got was that crazy Goretress Guerilla one where you have to find them all and you can't use zoom or evac. Also, you can only land the starflight 6 times. Seemed like a worthy challenge. Oh well, maybe next week.
Dunamis 0
I could be wrong, but isn't this the first time that one of the Final Four weapons/armor (Dragonlord Claws) is being offered on DQVC? Also, the Dragon Robe is for sale, and you only get one of those in the main game. Good luck! As I mentioned in a previous post, I did score another Dragon Robe, so that was good, but I'm seriously hoping I get the Dragonlord Claws, since that'd make my first S-Rank chest weapon (especially since I don't have any S-rank chest grottos yet) and they'd supplement one of my characters very well since her main weapon is Claws. cartman414 6
There is the map method, for anyone who doesn't have issues gaming the RNGs.
linnear 0
Yahoo!!! I got the dragonlord claws yesterday, these type of occasions make it all worth while. I love this game I'm playing through this at my own pace, just trying to level up my characters, and when i get something surprising happen like this, it just makes me smile
Wes 134
Well, this week is pretty expensive. I actually have to play DQIX so that I can afford the DQVC stuff (the wand is about 42k gold)

The Mystical One 245
I just make sure I have a few million in the bank and then I don't worry about it. Also I tend to make enough just leveling up legacy bosses to cover any DQVC costs.

Really, because I made about 400k just farming for mythril... XD I sold all of my mythril. Lately, I've been farming Gold Golems in Gleeba, then checking on the mythril. But mythril doesn't seem to appear for me much anymore, whereas the other alchemy spots respawn. Just on a dry spell I guess.
