What anime are you watching?

Recommended Posts

Maria the Virgin Witch was good.

If you wanted to invest in 100 episodes of in the most shonen-feeling seinen anime there's Space Brothers.

Digi hated it and his downward spiral while watching it was funny, but Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU is good if you watch both seasons together.

I think the best one is the one called Newman. His evil is so great the main character always says, "Hello, Newman," whenever he arrives.

I have lately been watching a plethora of mecha anime including Gundam SeeD(just finished), Escaflowne, and Code Geass. However, the one anime that has been REALLY grabbing my attention lately was Dea

I didn't mind Vic at first. He has no real vocal range, but that's not necessarily a bad thing as long as he can act and as long as he's not voicing numerous characters in one thing.   But then a fr

Nah, I'm saving my next multiple hundred episode binge watching marathon for Gintama.(I heard it was really good, and I guess I'm a sucker for some good Shonen)

SNAFU? Never heard of it, I'll check it out I guess.

It's about a stuck-up high school student who thinks he knows how the world works but that just isolates him from the rest of his classmates so his teacher forces him to join a club with only one other member and two loners have to basically be loners together. There's an hour long video of Digi getting drunk watching the whole first season and noticeably getting more depressed.

As for Gintama, if you look, you'll find a list fans have put together of episodes to watch. It's over 300 episodes and a lot is non-essential so you might as well only watch the "Best ofs" they recommend.

I recently watched Genmu Senki Leda (which is hour long fantasy about a girl who ends in a magical word after writing a song) and Cyber City Oedo 808 (three 40-minutes episodes of cyberpunk) which I wrote a status about. Both are awesome, even though first is source of too many porn...Recommended watch for everyone^^

too many porn...

That's a thing?

Oh yes. My mind is permanently scarred from the DQ5 section on Pixiv. Many horrors abound there.

Anyways, Toonami tonight. DB Super is still incredibly entertaining for me. JoJo's with the fanservice, and Gundam with the exposition. Not a bad night.

I wanted to hear how the dub for The World God Only Knows sounds. I guess Nami decided that her ditzy, childish voice for Elsie would be "literally a 6-year-old." Can't blame her since there's a stretch of episodes where Elsie obsesses about fire trucks. Still sounds pretty funny.

Giving the Fate franchise a go in order of plot, which was probably a smart choice considering how deep the relationships and storylines and family histories seem to go. So basically watching Fate/Zero right now. Then will come Fate/stay night, followed by Unlimited Blade Works. Then maybe I'll explore some of those alternate universe shows if I care to (probably not though).

I wish I could say I was excited for that. Not to say I'm not interested, but I missed the series when it ran back in the day. I'm likely to be lost during these new episodes.

currently watching a handful of series. First off, I'm watching Little Witch Academia. I loved the OVAs and the series is pretty cool so far. Next is Dragon Maid, which I've found to be an adorably gay series. Lastly is Tiger Mad W. If you're a wrestling fan, I recommend it.

On the English side of things, I'm watching DB Super. Pretty awesome.

Not a necessity, but inseparable from the human experience, like the sun rises and moon falls, like death is absolute, so is cringe.

Normally, you watch Unlimited Blade works series after Fate/Zero, since UFOTable pretty much linked them together.

The original Fate/Stay Night is optional. It's made by another studio, and while it's pretty average at best, it nowhere near as good as UFOtable's rendition.

As for the "alternate" shows, I highly recommend Carnival Phantasm. It's the Fate series (and it's sister-series "Tsukihime") pretty much making fun of themselves. It's honestly a really fun anime to watch.
