  1. I just wanted to link to this interview where Noriyoshi Fujimoto, the producer of DQVII 3DS, says a lot of interesting stuff! I can't believe that they acknowledge our letters, and that Nintendo was so eager to help. Nintendo does great stuff behind the scenes and get little credit for it. Anyway, I'm really happy that things ended up like this. I spent some time with a broken 3DS until I found this article so it's like a reminder to get a new 3DS asap lol!

  3. Ok, so, we're all over the place in opinions, but general consensus of course being: we want DQ coming Westward. So this thread is designed for one purpose, and ONE PURPOSE only: as a means for concentrating any and all information for current and future campaign efforts. I will do my best to keep this updated when as I can with addresses for social media, physical buildings and for email. Including in this will be links to any campaign related stuff, such as art, youtube videos of various forms, news and when all is said and done, even official releases on various platforms and media outlets from Square Enix, or Nintendo, or Sony, on any Dragon Quest release or potential release. Please feel free to use this database to write letters, emails, link social media such as twitter, get twitter accounts to tweet to, hopefully I can find some google+ circles...tumblr still needs to be added, as does deviant art accounts. If there are any other accounts that should be added here, any news stories, fan videos, blog posts, media, fan art related to campaigning for DQ, gamefaqs forum posts...email addresses to SE employees that aren't within these databanks. Problems with various email addresses, or links to twitter accounts. Please feel free to post in this thread so I can update accordingly! Adieu! 4. Yeah, so I know this is way late to be asking, but I have Platinum on Club Nintendo and with it, a free digital download. Thing is, I don't know which game I want. This is the US site, bytheway. Logically, Donkey Kong would be the most financial and best option. But I have the disc already from the Best Buy Black Friday deal. I also have Animal Crossing, Mario Cart 7, and Super Mario Galaxy 2. (Mario Island Tour too, got it on sale but unopened). I was debating Punch Out!!!, Pushmo World, and Ultimate Nes Remake, since I never have played any of those games or their series/related titles. I have no interest in Yoshi Island or Mario Party. I kind of do not want to play New Super Mario Bros 2., as I am not really into Mario titles. Honestly, the one on the list I really like is Metroid Fusion, but I feel that using the reward on Gold for a Platinum status is nonworthwhile. The Coin issue is figuring out the last game to choose. I plan on selecting Earthbound and Super Metroid; in the end, there will be 200 coins to use on something else. [i would have had more for what I wanted had the sever not been acting up prior to the cutoff date]. I have Link's Awakening, Metroid, and Golden Sun already. I have played a bit of Super Mario Bros 1 & 2 and Super Mario World (favorite of three) when younger, but have not completed them ever. Otherwise, every other title within 200 coins might as well be foreign. What would someone on here recommend? I am at a loss.
  5. Not sure if it is okay to ask this kind of question here, but any guidance would be appreciated. I have an original 3DS and it randomly produces a line down the middle of the top screen during gameplay(black line on white/light screen; noticable line on darker screen, does not have a particular color). It seems to occur only during 3DS games (mostly seen from physical cartridge games and sometimes software; my download game "Shantae and the Pirate's Curse" never showed any signs although create Mii program has plenty times. Nor has virtual console downloads shown the line. I think the AR card reader game did cause the line as well). I do not remember seeing it happen when playing DS games either, though it might had done so with Dragon Quest IX. The problem swapped with another dilemma I had, which was the hidge squeaking when opening the system (the squeak does not happen anymore). I had talked to a Nintendo Representative on if that allowed for repair, but they said not to worry about it then. My warranty long expired at this point, but the line worries me. It does interfer when it shows up. However, I am concerned about sending it to Nintendo for two reasons. First is I really do not want to have a refurbished different system (I've taken care of mine, I do not want someone else's). The other is payment options Nintendo of America appears to only accept. I do not have a credit card. Do you think they take Visa Debit or even money order/check? I have not talked recently with any Nintendo representative on the problem, so also ideas on particular wording for maybe a discounted repair would be valued as well (I have never had a repair needed so I was thinking of mentioning that....). Anyway, I am not comfortable opening up the system on my own (I do not know what I be looking for), and I am not read for the New 3DS XL (it's large for my hands). Weak excuses...I know. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you
  6. Like the title says; I have seen tons of threads and posts about this item. But no actual pics as proof. I first played this game as a child when it came out. And then every few years again every so often. But I had never EVER seen the mysterious hat, nor had I EVER seen pics with proof of it's actual NES in game existence. So until now I thought it ONLY existed in the remakes, but not the original nes one. Well today I was proved wrong; it dropped from Pazuzu (YES, I know what the original poster says that was out for DW2: that pazuzu and magic vampirus drop it; but again NEVER saw it drop ever until today and that same poster said it was an item, NOT a helmet). And guess what else? Since I understand how people might think I was bs'ing I took 3 pics as proof; one when it dropped, one while equipped (yes you equip it), and one from the status screen. This happened in an emulator (which means nothing; emulators do NOT alter the game's original code, and YES there is only one nes version of DW2), and no I didn't do anything special; I simply killed pazuzu. And yes, I have fought literally HUNDREDS of magic vampiruses and NEVER gotten one (and yes I kill them last). I honestly NEVER expected this. Here are the pics. Good god.... I can die a happy man now. lol P.S. I also put this post up on Gamefaqs.com. I am so in shock right now.
  7. Hey there all! It's the contest originator here at the Den, plattym3 back in action! I was gone for a long time & have spent the past couple years doing all I can to get a punny laugh around here, but it's time to get serious again. King Zenith & Democobot have stripped away the "emeritas" word from my title, and I'm again a Contest Mod. Let's get right to work! So, Squeenix (Square Enix) applied for a trademark in Europe & North America (see topic) that has riled up the Den populance into thinking that a new DQ game is coming out soon. Theories have been batted around hundreds of times (see other topic). The trademark is for the name "Holey Heroes". The point of this contest is simple: predict what Holey Heroes is. The topic will run from when I post this until 11pm EST (8pm PST) on Friday, February 27th. You've got a little over a week to vote. Now, I'm going to put a poll up here with games/ideas I've seen batted around. When the topic closes, we'll all still be able to see who guessed correctly, but obviously no votes will be able to be changed. This contest ends when we get an answer as to what "Holey Heroes" is (if we ever do), and everyone who guesses correctly will get a brand, spanking new badge from Woodus! If you have an idea that you don't see in the poll, feel free to comment and that will be your vote! We've seen the 400+ posts, now let's 100% scientifically see what you think...
  8. http://www.screwattack.com/news/sony-selling-all-its-shares-square-enix This could be a potentially good thing if Nintendo buys those shares that Sony no longer wants, I only wonder what prompted this decision on Sony's part. Also, I'm hoping this isn't some troll post or anything.
  9. http://club2.nintendo.com/3ds-pokemon-promo/ Just register any 3DS system and one of these 6 games between March 1 and March 31: - Mario Kart 7 - Super Mario 3D Land - Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D - LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins - Yoshi's New Island Only for US/Canada folks. More details on the link up there.
