Alright, I'm not 100% sure what the concensus is on promoting someone else's work on the forum. I asked a couple of people in the IRC chats, and they said that from their perspective it should be fine provided I went and got the artist's permission on the subject. So I did so earlier today after I spoke to ProfessorMegaman in an IM chat. He's told me he's been here in the past due to how good the site is at gathering multimedia for the various games in the series, although I don't know if he's ever registered on the forums personally. I didn't find his expected name, but that doesn't mean he couldn't be on here under a different name, but I never asked. Anyways, one of the reasons I'm doing this is because he also very recently completed a commission [one of what plans to be many and if those are done I'll add them here later ] for me for a possible project of mine and I felt not only should I show that picture off, but all the others related to DQ that he's done before. I'm sure some of these have been seen by a good number of you guys already, specfically the DQ1 pictures, but I figure if some didn't know the origin of these pictures, you will now. Just be warned, there are some decent sized pictures on here, and these aren't even the full sized versions for the most part. My commission is the one at the bottom of the DQ5 section as a minor note. DQ1 Related: DQ5 Related:

I had an interesting question in my head recently: We know in DQ1, it's intended to be one-on-one combat between the player and enemies, including vs. the final boss, Dragonlord [either or both forms one after the other], but it made me wonder, how would OTHER playable characters throughout the series from future games do facing the DragonLord one-on-one? There's multiple possible conditions though for the Dragonlord: - In his first form only - The second form only - Or BOTH forms one after the other. Possible Conditions for the playable characters are: - Maximum Level [usually 99, or if you really wanna go with DQ5 monsters, that particular monster's level cap] - Only at Level 30 [DQ1's max] for a greater challenge [or only ~30% of a DQ5 monster's Level cap] - Level 18-30 can also work if you want to imagine other situations. However it has to remain one-on-one: just Dragonlord and just the one playable character. They can't call for backup from other allies or monsters during the battle. Transformative abilities for the playable character are allowed [i.e. Puff, etc], since Dragonlord does have at least one transformation of his own, though. As for as what playable characters are appliable here: Class-based characters [DQ3/9/etc], and DQ5's recruitable monsters can be used, although I'm admittedly more interested in what preset class characters [DQ4/5/8/etc] are capable of as well. And no, I don't just wanna here about each game's main character vs. Dragonlord, but non-main characters too. I don't want every post to just be a game's main hero vs. Dragonlord you know. I hope this would generate some interesting scenarios, though.
