WHY IS THIS IS A THING? The year 2018 is a BIG year for Dragon Quest. It is the year when Dragon Quest XI got released.It's a quintessential entry in the series. And like many good things that happened this year it must come to an end..and after finishing DQXI it has left me with a yearning to go back in time. To the world of Alefgard once more. This map is based on SFC Dragon Quest 1 remake. I've been working on various sprites and referring to official artwork along the way and this is probably just me trying create my take on how Dragon Quest asset need to be done.It needs to stay close to original artist intent as much as possible...of course with very few creative license here and there. I mean...... for it to be Dragon Quest game it cannot be without their iconic design right? (example the S&M gear NPC above) I've been working on it for maybe a good two weeks now.Of course it's subject to more changes down the road..I haven't decided on the full scope of what this project's gonna entail.More information will be revealed after I've updated this some more. Some of the stuffs shown are just proof of concept.There's no telling how far this development will continue. But in the event i decide to abandon it ill just give all the assets away for people to try and continue the way they see fit. for now i'm happily tinkering away with RMMV and and wonder about what kind of cool take i can make for Dragon Quest 1. I really like GBC version have intro for Dragon Quest 1. I decided to make my own version using existing offical art. Intro 480p.mp4
