  1. Any progress? I've been putting it off due to lack in confidence in my ability to hit the next story trigger.
  2. Phantasy Star Log #1 So I tried to kill this Medusa in a dungeon but I need a specific item to win so I died. I also went to a town where a guy was dwelling in a dungeon and was killing animals. I also bought Odin a better gun.
  3. That seems to be the story of everyone who plays this game.
  4. I bought it for Switch and it's so addicting! The game is so quirky in terms of how it's designed. Sometimes this is annoying but most of the time I'm cool with it. Has anyone else played it?
  5. Ok I just have started playing the RPG moon originally released for the PS1. It's a game about why the heroes in Dragon Quest are actually evil because they kill random monsters. The protagonist is a boy who gets sucked into a DQ ripoff where he must level up by talking to NPC's and bonding with them. I don't know how far I am into the game but I think I'm pretty early since there has yet to be a huge overarching story yet. I presume I have to level up some more in to figure out what happens next. And in that respect, I find the game really suspenseful to play.
  6. Even before this video came out, I knew he was gonna mention being able to ditch Princess Gwaelin if he did a video about Dragon Quest. It's the exact kind of thing he would joke about. In his Zelda II video, he uses footage of Dragon Warrior when talking about random encounters in that game. 4:33 I think there's a Dragon Warrior cart in the background in another video but I do not remember which.
  7. Tact seems to play more akin to Fire Emblem/Devil Survivor, which are games that I love, but are definitely not like Sengoku/Kichikuou Rance. The latter games are about conquering land on a world map via skirmishes that use more conventional turn based battles when it's your turn. If you win the fight, the piece of enemy territory is yours. When it's the enemy army/armies turn(s) then you are forced to do, as you expect, skirmishes. However when it's the enemy turn you fight to defend your own territories. If you lose or choose not to fight, then you lose the piece of land the enemy was trying

Strange, I capture2txt that image and I was able to post it, I will post it back here as well.

Here's what I was gonna say to @YangustheLegendaryBandit in this thread.

  10. If there's a DQ tactics game, it would be cool if it played like one of the Rance games
  11. 1. No idea if it would happen. It would be a good twist. 2. Seems impossible to answer. Both are the only games that get tie-in manga. 3. Maybe. 4. I heard Phantasy Star III is awful lol. 8. I'm not far enough in the game to figure that out. 9. P U F F P U F F 11. No idea. 13. Slime themed pastries like jelly slimes or something.
  12. Happy birthday!

Happy Birthday you slick saucy gooman, you! (no homo)

  13. I have my own reasons for preferring Loto/Roto. It has to do with the fact that I've noticed that a lot of "legendary heroes" IRL tend to have simplistic/short or mononymous names like "Joan of Arc". Loto/Roto kinda falls into that trend.
  14. Hey guys I have finally updated the article about the cancelled localization with the info I got from @Dwaine confirming that it does not exist. Sorry for taking so long. It took me a while to get back into the groove of writing articles for that wiki.
  15. First off the SFC version is basically finished. Like it's 99% finished and just has some glitches. Also while the DS version does have some higher res sprites, I and many others think that the SFC version's aethestic is way better. The DQIII remake for SFC also benefits from being similar in look to DQVI. Again, many people agree on this.
