  1. I don't think there's any evidence for that. I've certainly never encountered anything like this with any other game, whether I've been using save states or sleep mode or simply had the game on for an extended duration of time. I had been using save states for a while, and my earlier state that I kept works completely fine. I think it's far more likely to be an issue with how the fan translation handles saves; this would be supported by the fact that the fan translation has had other issues/glitches causing save corruption/deletion.
  2. My understanding is that the save corruption is caused by particular (but unknown) actions. I had been playing with only save states until the point in the game when you need to reload your save file, so I don't know when the corruption occurred for me. It seems to be rather rare, though; I've only seen three other people who have had this issue. That being said, if you could upload your working save file I'd be very thankful.
  3. I faced the exact same issue during my playthrough (as described below). Sadly it seems that the fan translation still has some serious issues, which is a shame as I was very much looking forward to the postgame. I may as well ask again here: if anyone has a functional save file that's in Alefgard or up to the postgame, I would really appreciate it. I don't mind if it's for the SNES, NES or GBC version of the game.
  4. Hi all, sadly I'm faced with the exactly the same problem as JustJeff88. I've been using save states my entire playthrough so far; I only noticed when I had to obtain the King's Sword in Kol, so I have no idea when this glitch would have started to take effect. After selling the Orichalcum I saved and reset my game, only to be greeted with "Adventure Log 1 has vanished." I've tried to use my save file and save state(s) in different emulators, and going and saving in different places in all save slots with different versions of the game but to no avail. I know that the game was able to save correctly at some point in the past as I did have a (very) old save state that has a functional SRAM save upon restarting. I also tried using the Dragon Warrior Savestate Editor but it wasn't able to successfully read my save states. I doubt there's a way to actually recover my save, but if anyone could direct me to a functional save file that's up to Alefgard or even the post-game that would be much appreciated.
