@Choppasmith how are you extracting the data from the stringDataEn.bin and stringMapEn.bin? I'm trying to build a script similar to https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/nes/563408-dragon-warrior/faqs/42955 using the dumped data you provided, but so far I've just been reading the raw hex and looking for codes to remove so I can dump the raw text without the binary references the game needs. Do you have a tool or a format your using to read those files? If it's simple enough to use I can create scripts for JP->En, Jp->Ko, Jp->Ch since you included the string data for all of those. When mention dictionaries (also from what you mentioned I'd bet the dictionaries are a form of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamming_code because they're space efficient) are you referring to the bin files or how the data is stored in the ROM?
