Bjorn the Behemoose from DQ5. That fight was incredible to me.

Sorry for late response, but it has some translation quirks, for example Pankraz is called Papas. There arent as many monsters recruitable for your party, but the game is gorgeous especially during the unique boss fights.

I like Dragon Quest for its stories and gameplay. My favorites are V, VIII, and IX. I love V so much that I actually had a disc made of the PS2 version that was playable on English consoles that had an english patch on it.
