"Teerunaa, a pure Fire type, knows Psyshock" Good. ...not that it matters all that much to me since I'm leaning more towards Froakie.

The thing that disappoints me the most about this is that while Mega Venusaur and Mega Charizard get new abilities and stat boosts, Mega Blastoise only gets an ability that boosts all -Pulse moves. You know, all four of them, only one of which Blastoise is capable of using.
  3. Started Dragon Age II in the hopes that it could distract me from the fact that Nintendo screwed up the Fire Emblem Awakening release. It's not doing a good job so far.

I dunno if I'd really consider Diamond and Pearl colors The game itself looks good, but I'm not too sure about the starters yet. Guess I'll be waiting to see their evolutions. Although, the popular belief is that they'll evolve to be Grass/Dark, Fire/Psychic (as long as it isn't Fighting, we've had enough of that combo), and Water/Fighting, and while it would help balence them out, it only gives Chespin yet another weakness. If that turns out to be the case, I don't think I'll be starting with it. Also, the male protagonist looks way too much like Black/Hilbert...eh, guess I'll get over that.

I was going to suggest trading over WiFi, but I'm assuming that's not an option. But regardless, I don't think event Pokemon count towards PokeDex completion, so that shouldn't really be a problem.
  6. I'm taking this as more good than bad. I'm fairly certain most foreign games(especially games like DQ) have to go through some sort of 'evaluation', and at the very least we know it's being considered for a Western release.
  7. I haven't played it. I'd been thinking of buying the original PS1 version, but I guess I'll hold off and see if this remake makes it over here.
  8. Hmm. Wonder if this means the price of the original will be going down. Yay wishful thinking

The only real problem I have with Lucario's Steel type is that it makes it weak against Fighting...which is kind of ridiculous seeing as it's part Fighting itself. Also, I'm considering buying Emerald, if only so I can eventually fill the PokeDex. Despite the fact that I'll be long done with White 2 by the time I fill it completely, I kind of want the Shiny Charm >_>; Only thing holding me back is that I know as soon as I buy it, they'll announce R/S/E remakes.
  10. Had every intention of playing DQIII just now. Then I found my Pokemon Yellow and it somehow ended up in my GBA instead...oops.

My Yellow game has been missing for 10 years so I'd probably do the same XD

Who's ya starter? A-derpa! How far are you and is your Pikachu any good?

  11. RedJ

Well, you can't get Glaceon or Leafeon until post game unless you trade Eevee over to Black/White 1 to evolve it there, so that sort of cuts your options down a bit if you were planning on using them during the story itself. Anyway, I'm doing post game stuff while Dream Radar continues to hate me and only give me Munna and Siglyph. And does anyone else hate Hugh/the rival as much as I do? >_>

Since the animated trailer had the male protagonist seemingly use a Fire/Fighting based team, I'm thinking I'll do that. Although it'll likely be mostly Fighting- I was going to use Houndour/Houndoom, but you apparently have to trade for it, and since it's not in the UnovaDex this time around for some reason I'd have to wait for the post game or send over a fully evolved Houndoom. So I'll likely go with Emboar, Arcanine, Lucario, Seismitoad (might replace with Keldeo), Scrafty, and Braviary (not Fighting, but can learn a few Fighting moves and has a fairly high Attack, and I'll need a flyer). As for the Pokemon following you around thing, the script is probably too difficult for them to use for every single game. Plus, I prefer it only being a special thing- otherwise the novelty would eventually wear off
  13. Ah, Tempt Cave, my nemesis. The dungeon that always causes me to lose all interest in this game.

Tempt cave is the one when Meena and Maya get seperated from the hero right? THAT PLACE WAS HARD!

    4. hawkeye77o4

its the cave in the beginning of DW3 GBC that takes you from Aliahan to Romaly.

  14. It figures that now that I've started playing DQIII, I want to play DQV...CONFLICT.

Finish 3 then play 5, or flip a coin.

  15. Started a new game in DWIII GBC. Named my Warrior Pary and my Mage Magy...realized too late that I had made two horrible puns.

Well, given the game I'm playing... absolutely nothing!

    3. Mou-rie-SHOU-rie

wait, no healer in your in party?

    4. RedJ

I have one now, yes. I just couldn't think of a good four-letter name for him/her at the time. That's the one issue I have with this version- the four letter limit when you name your party members.
