  1. Finally got around to playing DQXI S, along with my little sisters. I've been enjoying it so far, though I haven't gotten the chance to play too much of it yet.

  2. I just started playing some more of my new copy of DQ7 (3ds) and whew boy I have been reminded as to why it's one of my favorite video games aside from Miitopia.

I'm looking forward to giving it another chance now that I have a real love for the series. I got 13 hours in when the rerelease first came out and haven't gone back since.

  3. So I actually managed to get 1,477 words on my DQMJ + Warriors fanfic. Huh, that's a pleasant surprise seeing as I'm also working on a DQ9 fanfic and several Miitopia fanfics.

  4. I finally got my own copy of Dragon Quest VII after a very long wait. Can't wait to over grind all my characters again :P

    1. Slimeknight

I am guessing it is the 3DS version.  I beat the PS1 version twice but I have yet to beat the 3DS version although I am pretty far.

  5. I just started two AU fanfics of both DQV and DQVII separately and I love the idea of them both so much already even though I haven't even finished the first chapter

  6. After a nice long break of playing Miitopia, I played DQ5, and now most of my characters are around level 35; I'm currently completing Talon Tower. (My main hero is lvl 40). I may or may not have over grinded on purpose.

  7. Ahhhhh I just had a lovely idea for Dragon Quest 7 AU and two roleplays...tbh I'm more invested in writing the AU than making/designing the roleplays. I literally got the idea of the AU from this song. The AU is simply hard for me to explain as of now so I'll just write it out in story format when I have the time :P

  8. I just revived my Dragon Quest + Warriors roleplay and I'm already having fun just imagining the chaos that I'll (accidentally) cause since I'm the admin

  9. I dropped out of the Warriors fandom because people can't handle the words "I don't want to debate" and can't act mature at all.

I'm going to keep reading the books but I sure ain't interacting with the toxicity of the fandom anymore.

I would say that's a very wise decision.  Always good to learn when not to engage, and when to move on, especially earlier on.  Some people take a very long time to learn this, some never do.

  10. Why am I so tempted to make Maribel into a Stubborn Scientist in my Miitopia fanfic why brain why

  11. I can't be bothered to progress the actual plot of DQ8 so I'm just going to mindlessly grind for a bit, I guess.

  12. I'm going to try playing Dragon Quest 8 and seeing how far I can keep at it before I get bored lol. (Don't be surprised if I do get bored tho)

No, it's just that I've been losing interest in playing video games in general / not having the time to. (I feel like it's more of me not picking up the game in a while and then forgetting where I am in the plot but ehhhh)

Whenever that happens to me, I typically take breaks.  Maybe give that a try for a good period.  Like just spend time working on your drawing skills.  When I was in 9th grade, this was the first of many drawings I made:

I never finished it...it took a very long time, and by the time we were required to start a new project, I just put it aside...the air brushing came way later when an art teacher in 11th grade suggested other methods of adding some flare to it...the original work was in soft pencil, and I wanted to make it misty looking, which is really difficult after the fact with pencil, so I spray painted the top lightly with white paint.  LOL.  It looked better then.

Anyway, growing up, I was heavy into games...pretty heavy.  Though I preferred spending more time outdoors doing other things, mostly shooting hoops, and playing pickup games with friends, or riding a bike, or hiking up a hill just to see the top (despite being afraid of heights I love being in high places).  So I guess what I'm saying is focus on other pursuits for now.

Are there any books you like to read, or any genre you like to read?  I find when games become way too much, but I feel like spending time indoors, it's either a movie or a book, and I tend to prefer books.  If you like Fantasy or Sci-Fi, I can give you some options to look into.

Then when you feel more comfortable, come back to games, and they'll be more fun again.  It's kind of cool how that happens.  Similarly to being cooped up indoors for too long, taking a long walk or hike, then coming back and it feels really nice to be home again.

Yeah, recently I've just been writing and drawing and briefly playing video games when the mood strikes me. Tbh I prefer writing DQ fanfics at the moment instead of playing the actual games, but that may change eventually. That and roleplaying but the only DQ-ish rp I'm in is mine and it's pretty much dead atm so that's fun

  13. Why must roleplaying be so hard for me when writing fanfiction is so easy at the same time? Especially when it comes to the fictional kitty cats that kill each other (Warriors)? *sigh*

  14. I have a good idea for a DQ animation. The only problem is that I don't feel like making it yet.

  15. I finally got ten subs on my youtube channel!!!! So now I feel more motivated to do more Dragon Quest art!!

  16. It took me 3 months, but I learned how to animate! I've also learned that onion skin is a lifesaver.

    1. Imutone

Yay! I'm so glad you've made progress with that!

  17. I have been playing Dragon Quest 7 for 3-4 weeks without stopping. It was amazing.

    3. ignasia

Nice, so what's your favourite part?

    4. JaybirdC

They made a VII? Nobody told me that.

  18. So I spend 6-8 months not playing Dragon Quest 6, then I started playing it last night at 9:00 pm until 2:34 am and now I'm hooked. It's a difficult yet simple strategy to get me to play Dragon Quest 6 for hours.

    1. ignasia

      It's a good game. Enjoy.

Dragon Quest VI is a great game, you should have fun. My favorite part is probably around the time your underwater.

    3. Marrowfrost

the good thing is that I left off close to the end of the game. All that's left is to grind levels.

  19. I get very sick, spend 2-3 days trying to figure out my grandmother's laptop, and having the possiblity of MAYBE going back home. Yay summer.

  20. I am excited for next Monday to end because it's my last day of school. Thank goodness school is almost over.

    2. Marrowfrost

mine ends on a Monday, the only day i'm grumpy on.

Do you mind if I ask what happened to bring such a large blanket statement of condemnation?

My experience is people should be taken individually, not so much as a group, unless they act in a group, and then only that actual group, not related groups.

    3. SlimeVagrant

What if you hate most individuals?

    4. Marrowfrost

Someone called my best friend a worthless piece of sh*t yesterday and she wanted to commit suicide. But she's better now, but mostly just some of the people at my school. I was having a REALLY bad day and I was really grumpy.

  22. I just started playing Dragon Quest 9 at school on Friday after a 6-8 month vacation of avoiding playing my 3ds. It was worth it.

    1. Liamland

It also has great local multiplayer if you can find other players near you.

    2. Marrowfrost

Sadly, I don't have any friends to play multiplayer with. I could try getting one of my friends into it, but that'll mean more work during summer break, and I'm just planning to do a repeating cycle of 'do chores, play 3ds, do chores, play 3ds', but now I guess I'm using my mom or dad's computer this summer as well!

    3. Liam

It really is. I'm one of the people that really enjoy learning about the technical ways game mechanics work, and DQIX really is the most in-depth game in the series I've seen.
