  1. Dwarf continent, you can take the train there, should be the yellow icon.
  2. I haven't started with crafting yet, so I don't know too much so here's the JP playguide on crafting, maybe that will help: http://hiroba.dqx.jp/sc/public/playguide/guide_4_12 The magic lab is unlocked via quest 121 you will need to go to 港町レンドア北 at level 20 (take the train and select レンドア) and talk to the npc there. Here's the playguide on that: http://hiroba.dqx.jp/sc/public/playguide/guide_4_25 Skills carry over across the different classes, passive abilities not marked with (専)are active on other classes. Weapon skills can be used on any class that uses that weapon if you invest into one. Because of this it's not a bad idea to raise your stats a bit by grabbing passives on other classes, but it may not matter if you use the A.I to kill everything. Here is a calculator for skill points Try going down this list and knocking out any quests you haven't done if you are looking for things to do. The equipment quest that allows you to break items down into crystals is a good one to make money, the dollar board quest so you can get around faster, or maybe the quest to get an extra stone for warping around with. Also don't forget to do the story, here's a walkthrough for that.
  3. https://mudfish.net/ For just 2$ you get a VPN that also decreases ping a bit. It runs on a pay per traffic plan where you pay for how much data you use. 2$ gets you about 25GB of data and will last several months. I've used it for a week now on DQX and i'm at 24.24GB left. It's fast, I haven't d/ced yet, and connecting to a single server, compared to SoftEther how you have to change servers when they go down, means you don't have to change your password every time you login.
  4. You can play with any mix of AI and real players, so you two can have 2 AIs with you as you play together. The game uses mostly katakana and hiragana, which is very easy to learn, if you've played previous games you might recognize some of the items right away but for the most part it's very easy to play. There are JP guides and wikis for most things, and google translate covers the rest. The menus become muscle memory very quickly too. Just recently the trial was upgraded so you can play to level 50, there's plenty of content for you to check out for free now and see if you like it and, can get used to the Japanese, so i'd say give it a go. I read on the website that you need to purchase the game from Amazon Japan to get the trial. Do I need to get it this way or can I get it from the Square Enix store for a digital purchase? It's cool that we can party up like normal too , I like being able to talk with people and work together to defeat the boss! I'm pretty sure you get a free 30 day sub with the game, not the trial. Here's a step by step on how to play get all set up to play the trial. I got mine from amazon JP, but some people haven't had luck with certain american cards there. You can try the SE store or playasia maybe if that doesn't work.

  6. We do have someone in the team playing on PS4, and yes, you need a VPN. They use mudfish (a payed VPN) but as far as linking it from the PC to PS4, i'm not completely sure, did find this while googling though.
  7. For the most part I think it's the same, just you can do the story and hit lv50 now, as well as change classes and use the storage. For the story, here is a guide, it's in Japanese but you can translate the page with google and it's pretty easy to follow. Your main objective is to get at least 6 of the key emblems from the list there. Then something will happen. Here is a list and guides for important quests Make sure you do quest 030 at level 10, located at the warehouse NPC to unlock your storage, as well as quest 034 to unlock class changing, this one might be a bit tough right at lvl20, so you can either wait, hire powerful A.I characters, or i could come help kill the thing. Not sure if trials can unlock the hidden classes, but here is a list with guides for the class quests, you will want to do the quests for your class to unlock some armor and a powerful skill. Note that some of these require you to have Version 2 and 3 installed to unlock. The guide for subscribing should still be valid, don't think they changed anything with that but feel free to ask if you run into an issue with it. Hey, thanks! One more question, I picked a warrior, but I'm debating what weapon to use. Is sword n' board better for soloing? If not, I really like the ax! I used the 2H sword when i played warrior, you should use what you enjoy for now. You will have a team of AI companions so you don't need to worry about soloing or anything. As far as skill points go, you will be able to reset later so you don't need to stress over that. But here is a skill simulator (in Japanese) for the future.

  9. Blue chat is 「ルームã€, it's a private chat you can invite 20 people to from what i understand, haven't really used it. But you can see your rooms in the app and chat in them as well as team and friends. I'm still trying to figure out push notifications myself but inside the app you can go to the chat you want notifications for and the top right has a bell icon, i have it turned on and just waiting to see if i get anything.
  10. I'm not sure which quest that is (Hade's Heart as a translation), but it sounds like it gives you enough time to see if you would really like to subscribe to the game. This is the final dungeon in the V1 story, sounds like you can play up to that part, meaning you can't finish V1. But that's still a lot of time to find out if you enjoy the game enough to subscribe.
  11. If you're trying to use the 2nd or 3rd character slot, you do that from the launcher. Same way you originally started, login to the offline mode and create a new human character and sibling (you will be given the option to skip the offline story and go straight to the scene where you choose your race.) If you need more character slots, you can buy the 4 or 5 character course on the hiroba site. I think it's the same page where you pay for subscription time, but 3rd red button on the right. Never tried it myself so not sure how much it costs though.
  12. You will need to create a new human/sibling I think? You get the option to skip the story, and then you can go online and select a race. It's been awhile since I did that so I may not be remembering correctly, a screenshot of the message might help.
  13. That seems to be a recurring problem for Americans unfortunately. You can try Rakuten, i use them to pay for my subscriptions and I just checked, they have the All in One: http://item.rakuten.co.jp/jism/4988601009362-41-156-n/ Edit: This seems to be the physical copy, here's the digital one, but it seems to be more expensive: https://dl.rakuten.co.jp/prod/801598154.html
