  1. And here's a quick Google Translator translation. If a more professional translation becomes available, I'll make sure to update the translation as soon as possible. So wccftech, NotebookCheck, and NintendoLife are now reporting on the above rumour of the new alleged Nintendo Switch model.
  2. After so many tries, and on my first day of my Spring 2020 semester, I've finally defeated Mordegon, Lord of Shadows & Mordragon and Mordragon's Tail with the Reduced Experience from Easy Fights, All Enemies are Super Strong, Shypox, Super Shypox, and Townsfolk Talk Tripe Draconian Quests still turned on. And therefore, I've finally finished Act II! I can't believe that I've managed to get this far with all of the mentioned Draconian Quests turned on. And I have to admit it was very challenging for me (considering that I view myself a Dragon Quest noob in comparison to everyone else here). But I'm glad I've stuck with the Draconian Quests throughout my Dragon Quest XI S journey. And man did it feel satisfying in the end to do so. I imagine I'm going to continue to rage quit whilst playing Act III with the mentioned Draconian Quests turned on. But I imagine I'm going to have fun whilst rage quitting. Onward to Act III!
  3. I don't know how trustworthy and reliable this rumour is. But apparently a "leaker" has leaked more details about the new alleged Nintendo Switch model. And according to ResetEra user DukeBlueBall, the "leaker" has frequently post details about upcoming mobile devices, which the "leaker" apparently obtains from hard sources from semiconductor fabrication plants in Taiwan and China. https://www.clien.net/service/board/park/14491872 And here's a quick Google Translator translation. If a more professional translation becomes available, I'll make sure to update the translation as soon as possible.
  4. For media playback. But not rendering 4k graphics though, right? Correct.
  5. I could see that happening for what people call the "Nintendo Switch 2". But what we've heard about the new alleged Nintendo Switch model seems like a very far cry from the "Nintendo Switch 2". And I don't think having a 1080p touchscreen for the new alleged Nintendo Switch model seems beneficial considering most games (including many first party games) run below 720p. I don't think the Tegra chip is capable of that. And if it were, the thermals would be awful. The Tegra X1 SoC is capable of 4K output for media playback. But Nintendo has disabled that for obvious reasons.
  6. https://www.digitimes.com/news/a20200106PD206.html (The article requires a News database access subscription, which costs $12,400 (TWD) per year, or around $415 (USD) per year, which I'm not going to pay for.) https://twitter.com/mochi_wsj/status/1214195658137075713 https://twitter.com/serkantoto/status/1214224369779646464 So, I'd like to discuss my thoughts about the new alleged Nintendo Switch model. Just as a warning, my thoughts can be very long and wordy, so read at your discretion if you're sensitive to very long and wordy posts. I'm intrigued with the new alleged Nintendo Switch model allegedly having a magnesium alloy body. I'm not a fan of how easily scratchable the body of the current Nintendo Switch model is and how flimsy it feels at times (I can't really say anything about the Nintendo Switch Lite since I don't own a Nintendo Switch Lite). However, I do have some concerns about the alleged Nintendo Switch model allegedly having a magnesium alloy body. One is that the alleged Nintendo Switch model could potentially get hot to the touch when playing graphically intensive games at handheld mode. Second is that the Wi-Fi reception could be worse compared to the current Nintendo Switch model since there's a possibility Nintendo could implement a poor antenna placement (and the Wi-Fi reception on the current Nintendo Switch model is bad enough as it is). But, if Nintendo does come up with viable solutions with the concerns I have for the alleged Nintendo Switch model having a magnesium alloy body, I wouldn't be opposed to the new alleged Nintendo Switch model having a magnesium alloy body. The new alleged Nintendo Switch model having a better CPU isn't really surprising to me, considering that's what Nintendo did with the New Nintendo 3DS (and New Nintendo 2DS) lineup, with Nintendo doubling the ARM11 CPU core count (with the CPU frequency potentially increasing up to 804 MHz), adding L2 cache to the CPU, doubling system RAM, and adding 4 MB of extra VRAM on the GPU. And considering that the New Nintendo 3DS (and New Nintendo 2DS) lineup and the Nintendo Switch lineup use SoCs (Nintendo uses a custom, proprietary SoC codenamed Nintendo 1048 0H for the New Nintendo 3DS (and New Nintendo 2DS) lineup whilst Nintendo uses Nvidia's Tegra X1+ SoC for the current Nintendo Switch lineup (and Nvidia's Tegra X1 SoC for the original Nintendo Switch model)), the new alleged Nintendo Switch model having a better CPU could allow games to have shorter loading times, improved and increased frame rates, increased draw distance and lower pop-in, increased texture quality, and etc., which is the case for some games running on the New Nintendo 3DS (and New Nintendo 2DS), like Hyrule Warriors Legends, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, and etc. However, I'm concerned that the new alleged Nintendo Switch model having a better CPU might result in Nintendo and third party developers developing games exclusively for the new alleged Nintendo Switch model. Nintendo has released games that run exclusively on the New Nintendo 3DS (and New Nintendo 2DS), like Xenoblade Chronicles 3D and Fire Emblem Warriors, so there's definitely a possibility that Nintendo could develop games that run exclusively on the new alleged Nintendo Switch model. There's also a possibility that Nintendo would make games that can run on the current Nintendo Switch model as well as the new alleged Nintendo Switch model, but with shorter loading times, improved and increased frame rates, increased draw distance and lower pop-in, increased texture quality, and etc., when playing the game on the new alleged Nintendo Switch model (like with Hyrule Warrior Legends when comparing playing it on the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, and Nintendo 2DS vs playing it on the New Nintendo 3DS, New Nintendo 3DS XL, and New Nintendo 2DS XL). And to be honest, I think that possibility is the most likely scenario for Nintendo games. But when third party developers are concerned, I'm not sure whether third party developers will choose making games exclusively for the new alleged Nintendo Switch model or making games that can run on the current Nintendo Switch model as well as the new alleged Nintendo Switch model, but with shorter loading times, improved and increased frame rates, increased draw distance and lower pop-in, increased texture quality, and etc., when playing the game on the new alleged Nintendo Switch model. As of right now, the release date for the Nintendo Switch version of Doom Eternal is unknown, but is set to be released after the PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia versions of Doom Eternal are released on 20 March 2020. And I hear some people speculating that Bethesda is waiting for Nintendo to announce the new alleged Nintendo Switch model, so that Bethesda can work with Panic Button to have Doom Eternal run on the current Nintendo Switch model as well as the new alleged Nintendo Switch model; and I'm guessing there would be improved frame rates and possibly a slightly higher resolution when playing Doom Eternal on the new alleged Nintendo Switch model. However, I'm concerned that third party developers could potentially choose to make games exclusively for the new alleged Nintendo Switch model. There's a rumour that Nintendo and Square Enix discussed the possibility of bringing Kingdom Hearts III to the Nintendo Switch. But despite Unreal Engine 4 support for the Nintendo Switch, bringing Kingdom Hearts III to the Nintendo Switch was deemed unfeasible without massive downgrades due to how demanding Kingdom Hearts III is performance wise (although I think it has more to do with how incredibly unoptimised Kingdom Hearts III is for all of the platforms that Kingdom Hearts III is released in (the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) in my personal opinion). I think there's a possibility that the new alleged Nintendo Switch model has enough power improvements that allows Square Enix to bring Kingdom Hearts III over with acceptable performance alongside acceptable downgrades, considering that the main bottlenecks for the current Nintendo Switch seems to be the memory bandwidth and the CPU frequency of the Tegra X1 SoC on the original Nintendo Switch models (I believe the Tegra X1+ SoC on the current Nintendo Switch models and the Nintendo Switch Lite runs at the exact same clock speeds as the original Nintendo Switch models). The reason I've mentioned the rumour about the feasibility of bringing Kingdom Hearts III to the Nintendo Switch is because there are games that third party developers would like to bring to the Nintendo Switch, but are not able to due to the Nintendo Switch not being powerful enough, like for example Elder Scrolls Online. I don't think it's completely inconceivable that the alleged Nintendo Switch model would be released in mid-2020 to late-2020 since the New Nintendo 3DS models were released worldwide around 3 years after the worldwide release of the original Nintendo 3DS models. I hope with the new alleged Nintendo Switch model, Nintendo will also release a revision of the Joy-Cons with better ergonomics and being built with higher quality materials (especially for the contact pads below the analog stick since it seems like debris from the contact pads being scratched by the metal prongs on the analog sticks causes the Joy-Cons (and potentially the Nintendo Switch Lite analog sticks) to drift). And although this is probably unlikely, it would be nice for Nintendo to release a revision to the Pro Controller with a better designed D-Pad (considering the design of the D-Pad on the current Pro Controllers is not great). So these are my thoughts in regards to the new alleged Nintendo Switch model. I'm very well aware the rumours of the new alleged Nintendo Switch model could very well be false. I'm also very aware I could very well be ignorant and misguided when talking about my thoughts on the new alleged Nintendo Switch model. But I find it rather interesting and entertaining to talk about rumours about the new alleged Nintendo Switch model. And at times, it can be quite educational when listening to people who work in the electronics industry and/or video game industry talk about their thoughts about the rumours regarding the new alleged Nintendo Switch model (like with the ResetEra thread about the new alleged Nintendo Switch model rumours). I'd like to thank @Woodus for creating the Video Game Technology forum, so I can discuss video game technology rumours, like this one, and possibly discuss announcements of new video game technology, here in Dragon's Den. So feel free to talk about your thoughts about the new alleged Nintendo Switch model. And I look forward to hearing other people's thoughts on the new alleged Nintendo Switch model rumours.
  7. Thank you. Also f*** Mighty Magic Burst.
  8. So I've managed to beat Mordegon, Lord of Shadows a few times. But my entire party died when Mordragon's life is about halfway depleted. Mordragon & Mordragon's Tail sure loves to spam Disruptive Wave and desperate attacks. It's annoying that if I die fighting Mordragon & Mordragon's Tail, I have to start again from the very beginning with Mordegon, Lord of Shadows. At least everyone's HP and MP are restored when I fight Mordragon & Mordragon's Tail. Keep in mind I'm playing with the Reduced Experience from Easy Fights, All Enemies are Super Strong, Shypox, Super Shypox, and Townsfolk Talk Tripe Draconian Quests turned on.
  9. So I'm almost done with Act II. Whilst I surprisingly defeated in one try, I have yet to defeat Mordegon, Lord of Shadows, since he is straight up kicking my ass. Keep in mind I'm playing with the Reduced Experience from Easy Fights, All Enemies are Super Strong, Shypox, Super Shypox, and Townsfolk Talk Tripe Draconian Quests turned on.

  14. Malicious Sprite Bulbs do spawn Wight Bulbs. You probably just have bad luck with the RNG. There are accessories that increase your chance to encounter rarefied monsters, like the Wing of Serendipity.
