I picked up Bloodstained recently. Got 100% Map completion and it's a VERY good game. Really scratched my Metroidvania itch.

  You should look into getting Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. I bought it last year in anticipation for Ritual of the Night, and I was not disappointed. Curse of the Moon plays a lot like old school 2D Castlevania games and is a lot of fun thanks to the different characters, routes, and modes you can unlock.
