  1. Mother 3 has a couple of these. I also remember my first time playing Chrono Trigger, and - Also, in Virtue's Last Reward:
  2. I drew this picture so I could make a custom phone case out of it, and it arrived today! Very happy with it
  3. Thank you both so much! Finally managed to get some time in to finish it today! Here the initial sketches and lineart for this piece:
  4. A little preview for a piece I'm currently working on! Not yet finished though, Angelo and the background especially still look pretty rough, and I intend on adding Dhoulmagus as well!
  5. Your DQotS character is so cute! I love the DQIII-based gadabout picture of her!
  6. Thank you! She's definitely very eighties, one of the reasons I love her design so much! I also drew Angelo today! I remember not liking him very much on my first playthrough, but going through his party chat dialogue has really improved my opinion of him. I love his constant sarcastic quips.
  7. I've been replaying Dragon Quest VIII (again), which put me in the mood to draw more Dragon Quest - here's a little drawing I made of DQIV's heroine!
  8. Hope this is the right place for it, but I made some Dragon Quest outfits! You can save these to your custom designs once you've unlocked the Able Sisters. You can also search my creator ID to see all outfits: MA-3446-4789-8332
  9. Thanks guys! After seeing the Dragon Quest Your Story trailer, I wanted to draw some fanart for it, so I drew Bianca's new design and redrew a screenshot from the trailer with her original design!
  10. Hi there! Back in 2016 I posted an art thread with Dragon Quest themed Inktober drawings. In my excitement for the upcoming SSBU DLC I decided to draw some DQ-Kirbies today, and figured I might as well create a new art thread for my future drawings (as I REALLY need to start picking up the habit of drawing frequently again). This thread will probably mostly be DQ drawings, perhaps some other RPG/video game art as well!
  11. I'm SO happy. I was hoping for Erdrick, but I got so, so much more. The Dragon Quest VIII hero being playable is more than I could ever have hoped for. Banjo Kazooie coming to Smash is amazing too. Knocking it out of the park, Nintendo!
  12. Played a little bit of the demo today, really enjoying it so far! You've nailed the Dragon Quest feel - the NPC interactions are charming, and the music makes me feel very nostalgic. I really like some of the new stuff you added as well, like the ability to pick your character's appearance, the type of relationship with your teammate and being able to save on the world map. Seeing Trode and Stella was also a nice surprise. I'll let you know if I run into any problems, but so far so good!
  13. Wow, these sound really authentic! Great job!
  14. I would love to see Milly in DQH3. Probably an unpopular opinion, but I like her WAY more than her brother. Perhaps some playable villians? Not sure how they'd work it into the story, but I'd love to play as Dhoulmagus or Marcello. Debora would be neat too, just to represent all the DQV wives.
  15. Yeah, I agree. It's a small thing, but it did bother me a little. I guess they added it because the hero is the only character you can control outside of battle, and it wouldn't make much sense to play as him when he's dead. Makes me wish they would've gone the DQVIII route and made all of the characters playable on the field.
  16. Not regaining your health/mp when gaining a level. I remember VIII's Dragovian Path being a lot easier in the 3ds version when compared to the ps2 version, in part because i got all my health and mp back each time I levelled up.
  17. Really looking forward to the Photo mode (I'm going to spend so much time taking pictures) but I think my pick would be the new cutscenes. I think it's really cool they managed to get nearly the entire original cast back, and I'm really looking forward to hearing their voices in the new cinematics. Like Glaceon I'm not a big fan of the new endings, but maybe I'll enjoy them more in English.
  18. Wow, I didn't even realize until the Hammerhood cutscene! Really cool of them to go the extra mile. I hope they did this with all the voiceless cutscenes from the original.
  19. Coming to PS4 on 28th of April 2017! Turns out the Best Buy leak was true! Can't wait to hear the characters' English voices.
  20. Adorable! I love how muscular she is. Just look at that six-pack!
  21. Sounds like somebody has a type. Heh, trust me, I'm well aware. I'm kind of surprised my post has been the only one so far. I assumed Heroes was one of the more popular spinoffs, so I figured at least a couple of people would give their opinion.
  22. Luceus: His personality basically boils down to: 'I have a strategy for this!'. Never really used him in battle, and I didn't care much for him or his I-have-devised-the-perfect-strategy running gag. Aurora: My player character - my second most used character after Yangus. Once again, her character remains pretty one-dimensional, but she's one of my favourite characters to play as. Cold Fission! Doric: It's impossible for me to dislike muscular characters. I used Doric a lot during the first few hours of the game, but eventually replaced him with Jessica since Yangus already filled my heavy attack slot. I like that he fights by your side despite the fact he's a king - I don't think Dragon Quest ever had any kingly party members before, not counting Best king award still goes to Trode, though. Isla: Didn't really care for her, and only used her in my party when it was obligatory. I like her outfit, though. By the way, thanks for doing these daily threads, Glaceon! It's been a lot of fun. Let's hope 10 and 11 make it over to the West so we can have more of these discussions!
  23. Back when I discovered Vocaloid, I only listened to covers I found on Nico Nico Douga - I liked the songs, but the digital voices were kind of grating on the ears for me. It wasn't until I played Project Diva that I got used to their sound, and started appreciating the original versions of the songs. If I were to pick a favourite Vocaloid, it would be either Miku or Rin. Miku gets the best outfits and has one of the most organic voices of the bunch (I remember listening to Freely Tomorrow for the first time, and being blown away by how real her voice sounded). Rin, however, has some of my most beloved Vocaloid songs - Meltdown, Tokyo Teddybear, Kokoro, Regret Message, etc. I like Luka too - Double Lariat was one of the first Vocaloid songs I discovered, so it's got a special place in my heart. Kaito, Len and Meiko are... meh. I only like Kaito's voice in two songs, Rin sounds much better than Len in my opinion, and while I can appreciate Meiko for being the first Crypton Vocaloid, I'm not particulary fond of her voice.
  24. Oh man, I love that song! Never played Super Mario RPG (though I probably should, I've heard nothing but good things about it) but I adore the soundtrack. 'Beware the Forest's Mushrooms' gets occasionally stuck in my head:
