  1. Ordered it today from CDJapan. Samples sound really great. Will be happy to add it to my Symphonic Suite collection

Moving my photobucket images here, so I can re-enable missing images I've used on posts.
  3. - Feelings for co-workers can certainly complicate things. As an HR manager, I would say: tread lightly. - Echoing others, it comes down to relationship security. I have a close friendship with a co-worker. Nothing more. And her husband has no issues with me. Even jokingly gives me tips on how to keep her in line at work. Yet the husband of another co-worker has expressed concern with me in the office, as if I'm a threat. - It can come up as a fabricated/perceived issue. Don't let it bother you - embrace it. When I was born, I was literally the only boy in the nursery. I've been stuck around females from the get-go. You could say, I'm an expert [emoji14] - This concern is not without reason and can definitely complicate things. Given my #2 point, I established our relationship as if we were office siblings, to stave off any prospect of unfounded rumors. She my office sister and me her office brother. Again, comes down to security in the relationship. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  4. I've enjoyed the additional 3DS story content, but the PS2 version is my all-time favorite. DQ8 was released a decade after I was introduced to DW. I am so appreciative of the story, graphics and music of this game. Started re-watching my cutscene movie last night. Good times.
  5. I got one free too with my phone. It's neat, but I've only used it to watch a couple of the NYT VR video segments. It's been sitting in a drawer for about six months now. Watching the videos of people wearing them, flailing and what not, is honestly more entertaining for me. As the technology progresses, I'm certain later versions will be far more engaging.
  6. I've used this controller with my emulators for several years. Can be a bit tricky with wireless range, but they provide a USB extension cord which takes care of that. https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-940-000117-Gamepad-F710/dp/B0041RR0TW
  7. My Android tablet does seem to enhance colors; however, when I take a screenshot and upload it to my laptop, the image is nothing compared to the tablet display (brightness/contrast way off, colors seem muted). I'd say that overall, the mobile game appears to be a sharper quality than the PS2 version. Yet upscaling the game in PCSX2 really did wonders for me in terms of image quality.
  8. When I upgraded from an S4 mini to the S7, I opted to reinstall the DQ apps as opposed to transferring them. Transfer apps like Samsung's SmartSwitch will copy apps (APK), but typically not the corresponding data (OBB) file. That's why we lose game save data and such transferring from one device to another (as KZ stated). Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the apps yet? Maybe just try DQ1, since it's the smaller of all the DQ apps. If that doesn't work, you may want to consider deleting the DQ directories from your phone before attempting to reinstall the app from the App Store.
  9. I purchased the Tokyo Metropolitan and London Philharmonic versions that were available for each of the games. I listened to both versions of each track, and picked the better of the two to load onto my iPod. I personally preferred them over the NHK, but that's just me.
  10. I downloaded some space fighters game I found for free in the Oculus store. You aim with your head, weapons shoot at enemy spacecraft, etc. Graphics were neat, but I could've used a dramamine afterward. So I stitched together a panorama of a location in DQ8 to test it out in the VR viewer. It was interesting to say the least. It still warped somewhat, and it seemed like I was nine foot tall (looking down on the valley). Plus, I'm not even sure if a panoramic image was the way to go with this (I see terms like monoscopic, equirectangular, rectilinear, and I wonder if I should get Rosetta Stone for English. And a physics degree.). C'est la vie, I suppose. I uploaded it in case anyone has a VR viewer and wants to give the image a go. I think I'll leave 360 media to the pros
  11. Hi everyone. Haven't posted in a while, but I try to check in daily to read about Den happenings. Bought a Galaxy S7 on release day, and got a free Gear VR. I've been following development of this technology back when Oculus first started their Kickstarter. Still a ways to go, but impressed on how far the technology has progressed in such a short time. Can't use it much, since 3D and me do not mix at all anymore. But still, it's all really neat. Anywho, I had an idea. What are the possibilities of taking screenshots of a game like DQ8 and stitching them together to create a 360/panoramic image compatible with VR viewers? In essence, allowing you to 'stand' in the game. I'm sure it wouldn't be perfect, and one could further ponder 360 video or even a VR port of a game. But I'd think for starters, a still image would be the easiest, given the relative youth of the technology. Just a late night pondering of mine. Anyone had similar thoughts? Hope everyone is doing well.
  12. Ah...days off from work. Nice to play catch up on stuff. Here's my pre-order:
  13. How could I have missed this when you first posted it? That was quite entertaining - thanks for sharing.
  14. I enjoyed it, rated 8/10. Han was spoiled for me before I went to watch it, and I could've committed a crime in retaliation. For me, it all felt to New Hopey. Start on a desert...looking for a droid. Carrying vital information. Save the girl. Blow up a death star.
