  3. Well, my attempts with ebay auctions didn't end as I'd hoped. I ended-up winning two and it totaled to about $101 dollars. 53 for the first win and 47 for the second, which I had been confident that I would lose because the other ones I lost ranged from 57 - 60 dollars a piece. So, I got two 32 GB Vita memory cards for the average price of a 64 GB Vita memory card. >_>
  4. Finished Gokukoku no Brynhildr, I would say it was worth watching. A less grotesque version of Elfin Lied, made by the creator of Elfin Lied. The Blu-ray version has full frontal nudity and explicit depictions of gore. The TV series version has them censored. Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Probably one of the greatest anime ever. It's a deconstruction of the magical girl story and it's done incredibly well with deep characterization. It's a very adult oriented series because of the horror and gore aspects. There's little gore, mostly horror elements and no nudity. Archenemy and Hero, or the Japanese verson: Demon Queen and the Hero, it's okay. Pretty subpar series after the fantastic first episode. Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~, First seven episodes are fantastic and then it becomes an awful, stupid cliche of itself. Don't watch. But if you do watch, it has gore and nudity. You have been warned.

  6. Finished Game of Thrones Telltale.... not worth playing.
  7. I despise how romancing SaGa for the ps2 got such a bad rap while the reviewers of game outlets didn't pay attention to the fact that it was a remake.
  8. If you continue to troll me like you have been then I will start marking your posts. Consider this a fair warning for your childish behavior. For that matter, remind yourself who it was that first started talking about Shin Megami Tensei on this forum and who tried getting people hyped for SMT4 when it was coming out in the US.
  9. Meh, the characters didn't really help. Melvin's "magic powers" seemed like a strange and poorly executed deus ex machina in disc 2 that never was elaborated upon. Maribel's entire character was completely awful. She's nothing like Debora or any of the sassy characters. She's just vain, rude, patronizing, and malicious even at the end of the game. Her character doesn't change or grow like other DQ games. Wolf-boy proclaims the huntsman as his father after knowing him for less than a week at best. One of my main problems with the "story" is that it contradicts itself. Evidently, Orgodemir can take down the 4 spirits and reseal them but God is apparently stronger than Orgodemir and the 4 spirits are stronger than God. That doesn't really make sense and Orgodemir is shown to have beaten both God and the spirits in one swoop in a major cut scene. We're expected to believe he lost on purpose, but then the next dungeon has the spirits and it loses coherence again. It's just so unlike a DQ game to do this, but I suppose it was an ambitious project.
  10. The story lacked all coherence in disc 2. Melvin suddenly gets "God-given" powers of telepathy and can use fire similar to a Harry Potter floo network call center. If the Monsters series is any indication, the new translation will only make things more confusing and ridiculous because they'll remove God's name and call him something ridiculous like "Nemus" in the DQ Monster series.
  11. Polygon gave it a 9.5/10. http://www.polygon.com/2016/6/22/11998068/tokyo-mirage-sessions-fe-review-nintendo-atlus-wii-u-fire-emblem-shin-megami-tensei
  12. Brah, re-watch that cut scene. Spoilers for SMT4 Original and the Apocalypse video: In the MC's dream, they explicitly call him "Akira", Akira was the mysterious man who was trying to protect humanity in the two alternate universes in which The Past Self was murdered before he could save Tokyo from utter annihilation. In the Law World, the angels won because he died from poison, in the Chaos world, Kenji took over and became a crazed demon. In both worlds, Akira took charge to build a better, more utopian, world after you cleared up their problems. In your world, The Past Self sacrificed himself and "Aquila" made a pact with the angels. Aquila was Akira of your world with a bastardized name. Judging from being known as God Killer, he's either an AU version of Aleph or Demi-fiend much like Flynn is the AU version of SMT1 Hero. Nanashi is Akira according to that gameplay video. Which means he'll either become the next Messiah or the SMT version of the Anti-Christ like Demi-fiend was. 13. Movie ticket? $12 for 2 hours. $6/hour Latte? $5 for 15 minutes. $20/hour New hardcover book? $20 for 10 hours. $2/hour New paperback? $10 for 10 hours. $1/hour New 1,000 piece puzzle? $10 for 5 hours. $2/hour Internet porn? $(your plan) for a long time. A lifetime of regret. DQVII for 3DS? $40 for 120 hours (it's faster) $0.25/hour Totally worth it! Not if you're looking to manage your time in an increasingly demanding work-life balance. And I would strongly disagree with the last one before the DQVII 3DS example.
  14. What are the changes and will it be another ridiculous 130 hour main quest? Honestly, not really convinced I should make the effort to scrounge up money to get this version of the game. I'm on the fence. Even if it gets shortened, this game was honestly one of the worst games in terms of Story, characters, world, and music. The plot is like a direct contradiction to the endgame content events. The reasoning and depth of the characters unravels and lacks all coherence the further you go into the story, especially in Disc 2 with the random powers by a certain character (MELVIN) that destroyed my suspension of disbelief, and the "going back in time" really just feels like an overly convenient way to backtrack the same locations for puzzle pieces to artificially extend the game's length. Not to mention the grinding was completely awful. By level 20s, I had to grind for 1 level every 30 minutes and it got longer at higher levels. The class advancements also took an extended amount of time after awhile and they were absolutely no fun whatsoever because there is a "Correct" and "Incorrect" way to utilize the job system. Which basically meant I couldn't play however I wanted, because apparently that's wrong. Overall, this was the second worst game I've ever had the displeasure of playing and I say that as a huge Dragon Quest fan. The worst game, of course, was Chrono Cross. But I digress, why should I bother giving the 3DS remake any time of day?
  15. I laughed so much at how he accidentally spoiled the plot twist concerning the main character and the previous game in the first few minutes.
