  1. I definitely don't prefer it over SDV, but it's pretty great. Reminiscing over some teenhood memories. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  2. It had a purpose in X (avoiding AoE attacks, pushing enemies away from healer, etc). They just didn't bring it forward as that wouldn't really work in turn based combat. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  3. I'm of two minds. I agree with you and don't want to reward milking the same game. However non Switch owners have been asking for this ever since XIS came out. It's inarguable a good thing that other platforms are getting this content. I haven't decided if I'm getting it day 1. At the very least, once the modding scene for it starts I will get it on PC. 4. When I first played the game I thought it was dumb and switched to classic mode. When XIS came out, I'd been playing X a ton. Free mode felt right and classic mode felt restrictive. All superficial of course, but I totally get why they included free mode now. There were probably plenty of JP fans who started with X Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  5. Where are you seeing this error? It seems to think you are trying to play in gues mode, I think. What system are you playing on? When you started playing trial, did you make an actual Square Enix account? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  6. Not entirely sure what you mean by advanced job quests, but if you mean quests that were packaged with versions 3 or up, then yeah you would likely need to own those expansions. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  7. Never made the connection in the slightest and I'm a total perv. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  8. It definitely isn't difficult, but that's far from the most important thing XD. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  9. It's hard to go back after Stardew honestly. That game perfected the genre, imo. It took the best elements of every Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons game and put them into one. If I had to recommend one to start with it would be either Friends of Mineral Town/More Friends of Mineral Town for the GBA or A Wonderful Life for the Gamecube. I started with HM 64 so it will always be my personal fave. I think it can be sort of grindy in retrospect, though. The Natsume translations are...poor however. And buggy. This new XSeed remake of Friends of Mineral Town is fantastic though in terms of localizatio
  10. Tangentially related then, I'm playing the Friends of Mineral town remake on Switch. Bringing back a lot of teenhood memories.
  11. Does Harvest Moon count as an RPG?
  12. You probably wouldn't like it if you aren't into DBZ. I played a lot of Legacy of Goku 2 and Buu's Fury (basically LoG3) as a teen. They erre a lot of fun, but in retrospect kinda grindy. As Eal said, LoG1 isn't really recommended. Balanced so poorly that several parts of it feel frustratingly unfair.
  13. I think Microsoft is making the right move here. It's actually kind of going back to what the roots of the OG Xbox were supposed to be.
  14. Wouldn't assets be trivial to port over though? Especially just from one version of Unreal to another?
  15. Extra work maybe? They completely ported the game over to a new engine in XIS. I dunno enough about game design to say more on it though, honestly.
  16. And if you want to see you play time for a game you haven't played for a while, you have to dig out the cart and launch it again. The thing that confuses me about their cudgy playtime display is that there's no reason for it to be like this.
  17. I wrote the ring fit thing off as a gimmick. Is it seriously worth looking into?
  18. Um...keep playing the game?
  19. What size paper did you use? I have some cardstock I stole from work, but it's letter sized. I feel it might be too small for this.
