Ah, I'm picking up an error as well, though it's a bit complicated, as I'm not using special symbols, just text.  Glad you got your issue figured out, and welcome to the Den.

Are you seeing the "New Topic" button just below the "follow" count for that particular forum, on the right side, and just above the actual list of topics?

If you do, and you click on it, what happens?  I have noticed this board is a bit slower with certain functions.  It took like 8~10s of waiting time for the last topic I created to load up after clicking the new topic button, and before I could write the initial post and title.

  4. So DQ11 is DEFINITELY updated from the Switch version, and graphically seems far closer to the PS4.  It seems like they haven't been idle, and have swapped out some textures and models.  I made a post about this on GameFAQs, so I'll link to that:

Thanks, I hadn't gotten through it all yet.  Taking it piecemeal, but I do like how they opened with the new trailer.

FF16 also looks quite good, and I'll probably get that, as it feels like a return to form, while keeping certain new battle system conventions with some tweaks.  Also interesting to see a truly massive and menacing looking Behemoth (beast/dark), versus the Phoenix (light/restoration).

I'll get to more later when I have a chance.

I am quite happy with the improvements to DQ11 though.  It's a nice step up from the XBOX reveal.

      Ah, glad it worked out.

Buy somewhere between 200 and 1000 tokens, whatever you can afford and feel comfortable with.

      Save.

Play Poker and double or nothing each time only to a max of 3 or 4 guesses before taking the wins.

      Reset if you lose everything.

You could play Slime Quest Slots as well, but it's not very lucrative.

Do note there is a bunny girl in both casinos (only one in Act 1, 2 in Acts 2 and 3), that lets you know which Slime Slot is hot or not, and another called the Jackpot girl, who tells you what the value of the jackpot is (max 1m), and another who gives you a hint on the best slot.

There's a special item from DQ2, a Tombola Ticket, you can find on the casino floor, it allows you to play the DQ2 lottery game for actual Gold prizes.  I suggest playing it a bit if you're low on cash to trade for Tokens up front.  You can't miss it, it's near the bar on the left on the casino floor (or the right if you're on the floor facing the stairs to the exit).

      Save again at 3000 ~ 5000 Tokens

Automate 10 token slots.  There are a number of ways to generate automation on PC.  Let it run as long as you want, getting as many tokens as you feel you need.

The only item in the first casino that offers a good resale value, is the Mercury's Headband.  Later on, in the second casino, you can exploit Sage's Elixirs for infinite Gold (9 at a time, unfortunately, but it doesn't take long to buy 99, then run down to the nearest shop to sell, and return to the casino, to repeat until you're satisfied).

For 100 token slots in Act 2, you'll want to keep at least 30,000 tokens, though I recommend 50,000 as a decent cushion should things go wrong.  30k is sufficient, 50k is if you're a magnet for bad luck.

  7. My DQ3 party now has 3 pairs of elevating shoes and I'm spamming the Lyre of Ire in a room that spawns LMS. Still not leveling as fast as I'd like.

    1. ignasia

      ignasia

Using the Lyre negates the Elevating Shoes.  Even if the Golden Claws worked as they did in the NES, it would still help negate the Elevating Shoes, as it tracks only to each individual character's steps.  So even if walking around, the rear characters are always 2 or 3 steps of EXP behind, which over time does add up.

Plus the Elevating Shoes are only worthwhile from levels 1~40.  Post 40 the EXP amount is so high 1 EXP per step has no value.  Though the Luck bonus does make it worthwhile for status defense.

Halo's a good series.  Good characters, good writing, good storyline, good battles, fun weapons, great multiplayer, etc.

It's a series that has certain moronic fans who love to claim firsts for a series with none.

Oh wait, that's my power supply.

    1. ignasia

      ignasia

Wow.  I'm not sure what to say.  I live in a desert, and while it's absolutely punishing being outside, it's never that hot inside (even without air conditioning, though I guess it's a product of Adobe style builds generally keeping a better temperature naturally...albeit this isn't true adobe, so it's not quite as cool as those buildings are, but then I'd never have wireless internet, as those walls absorb it, and wired would require running everything on the ceiling to get just behind the desired wall of the wall plate, as the walls are completely solid adobe brick, so not even plumbing is within them).

I've been through a similar scenario before, but never quite that bad (though mine was more electrical surge issues based on super dry climate and heavy thunderstorms overwhelming the grounding elements).  Is there anything on places like Wish List for you?  You could potentially get a much cheaper, even if more cheaply made (it is a bit iffy as to product quality, but usually it's decent as per my sister and most of her friends' experience, and that's out here, the #$*! of the US, New Mexico, the place everything thinks is actually Mexico and 3rd world).

Yeah, Wish List might be a good option for you, at least on the cheap, at least for right now until you can afford a better one, or move out of there.   You could also cross reference online for build quality reviews, though a lot of decent stuff does get picked up fast, there's often a fair amount of options.

Eal, the group that was created, Black Lives Matter, were deliberately destroying their own towns, were ignoring issues inherent to the black community, pushing leftist rhetoric that the system of government is "systemically racist," which is a rallying cry and crafted concept by the Frankfurt School as a method to reform class warfare into race warfare using refined definitions forcing nonsensical positions based on complete false pretenses.

For a system to be racist, there must be specific rules, laws, and training to focus on a particular race, or ethnicity.  Something that doesn't exist.  So the very premise of Black Lives Matter, that being black in America is systemically under threat at any point, and thus is a specific trouble point, is diverting attention of actual issues (like black families breaking down, gang activity and the draw for more kids to join gangs, poorly run schools that get ample funds but without proper spending and cries of lack of funds, and in some cases actual funding gaps for certain programs, black on black violence, why most riots tend to end in destruction of black businesses and housing done almost exclusively by blacks).

The idea of All Lives Matter is to say yes, Black Lives matter, but they're not the only group under threat by governmental forces when the system goes south.  They are disproportionately affected, but there are ample reasons for this (the main factor for non-Southern states during the era of Jim Crowe Laws, was the deliberate breaking up of Black Families, and pushing women, especially black women towards welfare and a single-parent household).

      ....

I guess the question is, why do you think the police system is inherently racist?  What particular rules or laws within the system and training and rules can you list that target any racial group?

      You won't find any.

What happened with George Floyd was awful, but not a product of the system, but instead a product of specific individuals within the system.  Who kept this particular cop within the force despite his many infractions, far beyond the threshold to maintain him?

What potential rules could you possibly add that would have assured he was removed, when the existing rules in that department stated outright he should not have been on the force?

Now, with the other 3 cops who were complicit in the murder, all of them were trained specifically NOT to behave in this way.  There was old training way back if someone was specifically belligerent, to put pressure on the base of the neck to hold them down so they could be cuffed, and it could only last for 3 minutes.  This was removed from every police department that used this rule, due to the potential threat to asphyxiation which had occurred, as there are other methods of holding a highly aggressive and belligerent individual (including someone very high on drugs, and thus one who cannot feel their muscles being torn as they progress through their actions to attack anyone in their way of whatever it is they're trying to do, police or civilian, in their drug fueled rampage...and yes, that happens on some drugs).

So let's assume we change the rules further, if the rules that those other officers were taught weren't followed, what potential changes would cause those same officers to behave differently?  Why or how do you think they would behave differently in a future scenario, when there are ample videos, including those on "Cops" and other police ride-along video programs, that document police activity, showcase police doing.  Something most policemen and women have stated their training explicitly taught them NOT to treat Mr. Floyd in such a manner, nor allow their fellow officer or officers to do so.

So given the system itself already has rules to prevent this.  Given if you look at the rules of racial relations and community policing, there is EXTRA emphasis on those relations, after certain events like the Rodney King beating.  What potential rule changes or changes to how police operate do you think would somehow change the behaviour of someone who is, by their own behaviour, either racist specifically, or just a belligerent cop?

Did you know the stats bear out more beatings and shootings on non-African Americans?  That might not be a common narrative, but if you check the stats, they bear it out.  So the "Black Lives Matter" narrative is one of political convenience, to generate tension based around something most people abhor in this day and age: racism (or sexism, or any ism that is an inherent hatred for another race).

So from there it also begs the question, sure, ok, stats bear out more white people get arrested or shot, or whatever, but per capita, and as a % of total population, there are more arrests and jail sentences (and even killings) of blacks.  So given the system itself is falsely marketed as being racist, perhaps there are other issues inherent.  Yes, one being within police departments, you do have some hyper violent men that join, and that becomes an issue.

We don't even know if this particular cop, or his contemporaries are specifically racist, or targeted Floyd because he was black due to some inherent animus.  Maybe they did.  The question is, after they booked him in a very calm manner, then place him in the car, why did they suddenly pull him out, and force him onto his stomach?  Why did 3 officers then kneel on him?  Who was on the radio during that time, did they have communication between the precinct and a superior officer or not, if so, what was said?  These are things that need to be answered, to get an idea.  Whether they were or weren't motivated by race, the point is this was a senseless act that was opposite to their training.

So maybe a better question is, what is the criteria for becoming a police officer in terms of mental stability?  What is the psychological profile they aim for when hiring an officer, or do they even bother doing a proper profile?

  15. I can’t believe the Snyder Cut is gonna be happening. What part of Man of Steel and BvS gave people the impression that Snyder’s full vision of Justice League would be worthwhile?

    1. ignasia

      ignasia

It would at least be a more consistent vision.  That's a positive of its own.  Justice League was very unfocused and disjointed.  You could tell every scene was done with one vision of the characters or the other.  Batman the dunce, or Batman the badass.  Wonder Woman the competent and considerate who is strong but worried about how well she can handle whatever Axe Boy's name is, or Super Wonder Woman who is as strong and capable as Superman, with the same speed as the Flash and Superman, who just flirts all the time because she's clearly bored and in need of a man.

Nevermind Superman gone Bizarro for a second.

Everyone forgetting the most important artifact they have, the Box, allowing Steppanwolf to get it, just so they can embrace Supes.  That made no sense.

Even Steppanwolf / Axe Boy and the Parademons / fly rangers had some inconsistencies.  They suddenly swarm him because he's "afraid?"  That seems like a last second wrap up due to two competing concepts, and Joss couldn't figure a way out of it, so pulled a Buffy the Vampire Slayer...damn I forget the episode, to finalize it.

Maybe there's not much of a difference, but at least the vision will be more consistent, and that might end up with at least a moderately enjoyable movie.

    1. ignasia

      ignasia

Damn, totally forgot to respond.  Sorry.  Rimuldar, as you're no doubt aware, is useless since the mobile.  Not sure why, but they kept the spawn rates identical for other areas, just nerfed that one.

      Rubiss Tower 5F (1 and 2F aren't bad)

Zenith Dungeon 3B and 5B  (the first part of the bonus dungeon, leading to King Zenith)

Other than that, the Goopi's, but they're a bit slower in the mobile and likely in the Switch to spawn the larger summons.  There's also 4B of the Zenith Dungeon for the highest spawn rate of the metal Chimaera's.  Then there's the cave North of Tantegel for the strongest of the oriental dragons (Salamander in the GBC version, I guess Auroral Serpent?).  Those last two aren't fantastic, but the Metal Chimaera's give 9k before the split, and the Serpents, 6k, both of which are very easy to kill.  Unfortunately, they don't spawn at a particularly high rate, though in Rubiss Tower 5F, you do encounter the Serpent's at a reasonable rate (5%, less than the LMS).

So there's that option.  Unfortunately, they seem even more prone to running, so even with Puff! tactics, it's a bit iffy to get more than one.

Nice.  I love my Lite.  The screen size is perfect.  It actually enhances the visuals, making them look better than the Switch on the TV much of the time (if not most of the time).  That condensing of pixels definitely enhances elements and helps unwash colours.  Enjoy mate.
