  1. Hey, Geminate. DW1's game script is finally done. Woodus has got it up on the Den here. http://www.woodus.co...gamescripts.php Hopefully, this is sorta what you were thinking about when you wanted a DQ storybook. At least, this is what I envision when I think DQ storybook. Hope you like it.
  2. This is exciting! I know I really didn't create this work - it's all a bunch of reformatting to make the original game's text flow and readable like a story, but still it feels kinda good that others will get to enjoy (hopefully) what I like to do.
  3. Ok, my DW1 gamescript is now in html format... Now how do I get it to all you nice people in the Den?
  4. *giggles* Alrighty then. Let's try this. The DW1 story is the shortest, we should probably start with that one. Also, as far as I can tell, it's near perfect in that I've assigned all the text to the right characters in the right towns and everything. The trickiest part, for me anyway, will be trying to decide what screenshots to use for spice and jazz. But let's tackle html exporting first. P.S. You can either email or PM, King Zenith, if you don't want to clog the thread with html tips.
  5. Export to html, huh? Okay, I could try that... *wishes she'd taken more computer language classes in college*
  6. I've made gamescripts of the first 3 NES games, about 75% done with DW4, only 5 or 10% done with DW7, and maybe 90% done with DQ8. I use the raw script dumps to get all the text (except for 8 where I actually typed it out while I played) and then rearrange everything in the order you would most likely see it while playing the game. I never thought about including pictures or screenshots in my gamescripts, but I did format the document so that if I ever wanted to print it, I could fold it in half and read it like a paperback book. (I still need to get around to actually doing that. lol) I w
  7. What a neat interesting unique (?) idea for a mini-game. haha Well, maybe it's not unique, I've just never seen it in a DQ or Zelda game, the only ones I'm really familiar with. haha Anyway, the game still looks great. Keep up the good work. (Oh, and if you need any proofreading help, I'm available.)
  8. Ha! Oh, Lora. Hey there, Jami! I didn't realize you were back. I was going over the stuff on my thumbdrive and saw your game. Good times! Are you still working on it? Hopefully I'll be playing my new dq6 today, but if you need a beta tester again, I'd be willing to help if you want. Or not. I know I've been gone for quite a while too. Anyhoo, just thought I'd say hi and I hope everything's going alright for you. *waves*
  9. Impressive post! I mean it. From top to bottom, very impressive. Screenshot: Very cool. New Tiles: Will probably be just as awesome! New Game: Are you kidding us!?! A whole new game! Seriously impressive! Revamped Casino: Love me some sidequest-minigame-distractions. *giggles* Black Jack should be really cool. Army stuff in the woods: Hey, it's a real life treasure hunt... kinda... sorta... ok, probably not. But still, pretty impressive. Hmm... May have gone overboard with the smilies... Probably due to lack of sleep. Went to bed a little too late and got up a little too ea
  10. Hey, that looks really neat! Nice job!
  11. Hey, when artistic liberty produces such gorgeousness as that, I'm all for it! Looking forward to exploring Alefgard all over again!
  12. Aw. I feel bad that you have to redo so much work, but if it makes you feel any better, I think the resizing is looking great! Characters and buildings and furniture all look to be about the right size. I think you've got a winner here! I do hope you continue working on this. I can't wait to play it.
  13. I know I say this a lot, but I can't wait for these remakes--revisits--rebirths...whatever you wanna call 'em. I'm almost as excited for them as I am for DQ9 and DQ6---almost! So, keep up the hard work. I'm sure it'll be awesome!
  14. Wow! Nice work figuring all that out. Very impressive. I'll cross my fingers that you can get the goal event to work right, but I shouldn't worry 'cause I'm sure you can. Keep up the good work.
  15. You're making Parcheesi boards!!!! That's awesome! And with all your other updates to the game, well, I can't tell you how excited I am for this game to be released. I'm almost more excited for it than I am for dq6 or dq9. Almost.
  16. i suppose a mini-map wouldn't be so bad then... if all the game buttons are already spoken for. better see if anyone else has an opinion though, just to be sure.
  17. a mini-map like they have in the corner of some zelda games? i'm not familiar with any mini-maps in DQ games. but wouldn't a full out map take up too much space? *confused* or does the map come up when you press a button?
  18. I'd say yay ... unless it's really difficult, then nay.
