I prefer the free form exploring of 64, Sunshine and Odyssey, but Galaxy 1 and 2 are good games. I remember Galaxy 2 had more explorable galaxies like the first three games I mentioned, but Galaxy 1 does have good level design and some fun ideas. Bee suit Mario is still one of my favorite power ups. Hope you enjoy your time with it!

Yeah, I can’t figure out why they would have raised the pitch on some of Mario’s voice clips. I get why they changed the “So long-a Bowser,” because of what people think it sounds like, but not sure about the others. All it makes me think of is how Luigi’s voice sounds in Smash 64 and Melee.

Huh. I’ve never noticed any input delay while playing Mario 64 on this collection. I’ve noticed some changes like a few of Mario’s voice clips being higher pitched though, which is apparently due to the version you mentioned. I’d have preferred the original version we got (not because of the long jump glitch) back in the day, but I’m just glad the game controls so well with the Switch pro controller. As nice as the sales are right now, the only thing I got from it is Sega Ages: Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Been playing Spyro 3 on my Switch via the Reignited Trilogy. I figured I was going to get bored of the game if I tried playing it right after 2, but I’m actually having more fun with 3 than I was expecting. Hey, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate is on sale on the eshop for $16! That’s a really good deal for the game! Might be a great time to grab it if you’re looking to play the series on the Switch. There’s also a demo available to test the game out before buying.

That’s debatable. I’ve played games that have voice acting but I didn’t feel like they added anything. There’s some where I’ve turned them off entirely.

I actually bought a converter to play my PS2 and other stuff on my HD TV. Haven’t tried it with the GameCube yet, but it works well with my PS2. Totally get going for the Switch collection, but if you ever want to get a converter I’ll let you know what I got.

I’ll be curious what your boys think of them. I remember having fun playing Mario 64 with my dad. Good times.
