  1. Alive... which is better than a lot of people who caught it. I had a relatively mild case at the beginning April. I got hit all of the sudden, basically felt like I was going to cough myself to death for about 4 days, then came right out of it, and of yet haven't had any real unpleasant aftereffects. It was basically a week sick, then another week of paid vacation for me while I was on home isolation. I live way out in the sticks, though, so aside from masks in stores and occasional thin shelves in stores, it hasn't really changed much for me. In the grand scheme of it, we have gotten off pretty easily locally.
  2. Mostly just getting old, but also playing some DQ Builders, and trying to fish between these waves of ridiculous rainstorms we've been having the last couple months. I got pushed up to a desk job recently, so that means less overtime, which means more fishing and gaming time with my boy.
  3. DQ XI. I picked it up the day after Xmas, and I'm about 20 hours in. This is the most I have gamed in a year or two. I generally just don't have much time for them anymore, aside from in the winter.
  4. Ha, I remember that issue well. I had a NP subscription from issue #24 up through issue #99. I just sold off the whole collection of them last fall. So much nostalgia
  5. I'm just in my usual summer routine, work all week, fish on the weekends.
  6. I've been on a bit of an old twin stick shooter kick lately... Put quite a bit of time into SmashTV and Robotron 2084 ports on the 360.
  7. I joined back in 2004, when I was playing through DQVIII, and remained active for the next few year. I haven't really had much online presence in general since 2008/9 or so, though, including here at the Den. I occasionally drop in to read up on series news or releases, but that's about it.
  8. Yeah, one munchkin was plenty for us, especially given we had no health insurance at the time. He'll be 3 next week, and there's still years of payments to the hospital to go. 😭 On the upside, he is starting to game a bit. He likes some of the NES classics, and he doodles with some of my wife's mobile games too. I think I was beating sticks together and eating dirt when I was 3, and this kid can use an iPhone 😱
  9. That's basically the only game I've played in the last 1.5 years I don't really game much anymore, and I sold off most of my collection. Work and chasing around a 3 year old tornado basically consume all my time. Well, and fishing when it isn't winter.
  10. "Lit Up" by Buckcherry has been in my head for a couple days. I never even liked it that much, so it's fairly annoying to have in my brain.
  11. I often wondered the same thing about DQ VI on the DS. I have NEVER seen a copy of it in any game store around here, and I'm not willing to pay 60 bucks for a copy online.
  12. I hate DQ IV. Hate it; I have tried to finish it about 10 times, and can just never muscle through it. Too much level grinding, and I just don't feel invested in anything with the chapters system.
  13. I've been working on trying to teach myson (who isn't quite 2 yet) to hold up his candy bucket and say "trick or treat!" So far, the results are... let's just say, mixed Still plugging away at my DWII playthrough on the NES when I have free time too.
  14. You poor, poor man. Those controllers for the 5200 are crap. Nowadays a working controller is worth 10 times what the console itself is. I got my NES for Xmas in 1988. I still have it, it still works, and I still play it fairly regularly. Of all my classic consoles, the NES probably gets the most use.
