  1. I would cast my vote for the Den's own @hawkeye77o4, he did a great job with the music in DW Classic I&II

  2. Did some research on SMT III: Nocturne and decided to pre-order the Remaster for Switch. Hopefully I’m able to play it upon release. Haven’t done that with a game since DQ XI: Definitive Edition S.

  3. You just ended whatever small percentage chance Yangus had of playing that game Haha, didn’t know he felt that way about Persona but now I do! I kinda wish I knew the game so I could comment on whether or not the comparison is fair.

  4. Currently playing Monster Hunter Rise on the Switch, if you count that as an action RPG. Have about 52 or so hours so far and enjoying it a lot. Also been going back to play the original Dragon Warrior Monsters.

  7. I purchased the first two PS4 Digimon games for the SO, but I am mildly interested in trying them out. I watched her play through the first area in Cyber Sleuth.

  8. I’m not planning to. The video I watched gave me enough info to know I would like it. I probably won’t remember all the details from that video anyway by the time the game comes out/whenever I play it haha. What I did watch gave me a SaGa-esque vibe, which I’m all for since I’ve really been enjoying that franchise over the last year and a half.

  10. Legend of Mana is an amazing game. I can't tell you how excited I am for the remaster. It's definitely worth playing. I kinda want to discourage you looking into it any more. There's so much magic to be had from a blind playthrough.

  11. More like a "what are you NOT playing" but today I finally got confirmation that my Monster Hunter Rise copy isn't coming . I ordered it one day before release and have been waiting since. The shop sent me a replacement halfway through (also never arrived). After threatning them with a bad review and legal action, they just said "hey your address is wrong here's your money back" (my address was correct,so that was bs but I'm glad I at least got the cash back) Now I'm seeing the game on ebay for like 10 bucks less than what I payed, so I honestly might buy it anyway

  12. That sounds amazing. I’ve been talking to the old lady about getting an RV for a while. Kinda weird to think my tent-camping days may be close to over Either way, a book and the wilderness does sound good. Though I’d be sipping whiskey instead of beer

  13. I’m looking forward to Legend of Mana Remastered too. Never played the original, but after watching an in-depth video about the game a while ago (and because I’m glad to see Square Enix remastering games like this from an era I missed out on) I’m definitely looking forward to the game. I don’t think I’ll get it at launch like I did SaGa Frontier Remastered, but we’ll see. Guess it depends on how much I have finished with other games in limbo.

  14. Currently finishing up DQXI, and just starting on DQVI DS, about 3 hours in. I had no idea Grandia Parallel Trippers ever got a translation patch. I'm going to have to check that out. Think it's worth replaying Grandia first? It's been a solid 15 years since I touched the game.

  15. Feels good to be posting on an old-school forum again. It's been an age since I was active on one. I used to spend a lot of time in ye olde Enix forums. Currently 150ish hours into my first playthrough of DQXIs with super strong enemies. Also playing DQVI for the first time when my wife isn't available to watch XI. She'd kill me if she missed any story stuff

  16. Currently playing Saga Frontier Remastered, and it’s really good. I should be able to get the platinum before Legend of Mana comes out. I’m really excited about that game, btw.

  17. The last big update just dropped! The new expansion pack features only 8 new cards, but its theme is pretty dope (boss rush)! The final chapter for the Adventure Mode is also available, together with the re-runs of a lot of stuff from the boss challenges. The translation for the the new stuff is ready as well, I'm just waiting for them to release the updated text for some cards in order to give Woodus the revised files By the way, be sure to check the Shop section! It's been updated with a lot of neat stuff that makes much more lenient to get legend rares from card packs

  18. It's not too bad, have to keep an eye out for it, or make sure to stick to the plains as much as possible for lower consumption. @Plattym3 didn't think it hindered him much at all.

  19. Bravely Default 2: This has become the new “Play it a lot on a day off,” game. Made a lot of progress on Wednesday and was able to get to the start of chapter 4. There was a character reveal I wasn’t expecting (though it did explain a lot of dodging that went on earlier in conversations) and lots of new job classes to try out. SaGa Frontier Remastered: Almost done with the Card Quest in Blue’s story for Arcane Magic, but I’ve run into a difficult point. So, for a change of pace I started up Red’s story. Liking the Power Ranger/Gatchaman theme he has going on, and how characters will call

  20. Got the Oracle job class and reached the beginning of chapter 4 this morning before work. First off, #$*! that Oracle boss fight and the third phase especially. I got really lucky that Gloria (my Salve-Maker) had a shield that blocked out the element damage of the boss’s hit all attack, so thankfully she was able to revive and heal everyone thanks to the skills the Salve-Maker has. Second, there was a story/character reveal I didn’t expect. One of those “Whoa, what is this?” kind of moments. Now with chapter 4 is seems like you have to revisit previous towns and help them out

  21. Do you recognize these guys by voice alone? That’s pretty impressive, especially since Jasper wasn’t a forefront character and it doesn’t sound like the BD 2 guy was either. That’s a cool skill/talent.

  22. Had a story progress making day with BD2. Got to the Rimedhal region and obtained the Salve-Maker, Dragoon, Swordmaster and Spiritmaster job asterisks. Fun boss fights aside from the Salve-Maker one, but at least it was nowhere near as difficult as the Salve-Maker battle back in BD1. I found a DQ11 voice actor in Bravely Default 2 by the way. The man who voices Jasper in DQ11 voices a character in the Rimedhal portion, specifically the character who travels with the party once they reach the city of Rimedhal. Really funny too considering the major difference in characters this guy has voi

  23. I've now sunk 46 hours into Dragon Quest Monsters 2 the past 15 days or so. I beat the main story and am now conflicted if I just just go crazy breeding (haha, like I haven't already) or just keep going because honestly I'm blowing through bosses on auto without healing basically. I'm about 5 minutes in to SaGa Frontier, playing as Red. I need to get this going this week as I'm supposed to write a paragraph about this for a feature at RPGamer. Theatrhythm Dragon Quest is going well. I talked about this in the DQ Music Slime Time Episode 036 thread. I've finished all of DQI and DQII music on

  24. Oh? Which Discord server is it? I'm already in quite a few DQ ones haha I shall, thanks! See you there! EDIT: actually, and until I can find the link to the aforementioned Discord server I wouldn't mind a link to the Google sheet. x.x Or maybe an invitation to the server? Whatever's easier for you :'D

  26. This made me quite sad and yet so grateful to the game, thinking back on how much it is and will ever be dear to me. April marks 2 years I've been doing translations and guides for everything the game offered, and overall 3 years of me playing it. I'm not sure to what extent this was known to the dedicated groups on other platforms, but since I want everything that was done to be preserved for the DQ community, I would be glad to share everything I worked on here on Dragon's Den as well. I have the translation files for every set released and guides for pretty much every mode in the game,

  27. Hewwo everyone! I'm esoterica or eso (no relation to the Elder Scrolls Online), and I go by any pronouns. I've been more or less aware of Dragon Quest as a series since I was a little kid; my father had a copy of the original Dragon Warrior that I'm pretty sure he got from the Nintendo Power promotion. I've dabbled with the series here and there over the years, even amassing a bit of a collection of DQ games, but the recent Adventure of Dai anime finally kicked my interest into overdrive. The main focus of my DQ interest right now is on that series but I'm slowly playing through DQXI on m
